"Top-quality work. I usually don't give 5-star reviews, but they were top-notch, and I couldn't find a thing to beeoych and about.
I met with twice, once to go over what needed to be done, and once again to finalize some details and refinements. On the scheduled installation date, his crew showed up on time and fully prepared, were very courteous and knowledgeable, and completed the work in the allotted day-and-a-half. I was very satisfied with all the work completed. As the old saying goes, these guys measure twice, cut once, and get it right the first time. Boo-yah!"

" came the first time to assess what the job was and then we set up a day/time. He was prompt on the day of service. He had all his own tools and had picked up exactly the wood materials and ordered my new door. The job was done efficiently and the result was great quality. In about 2.5 hours he had the job done and had picked up all materials, cleaned the area and took all the remnants with him - nothing in my trash to throw out. He is personable and friendly and the experience was excellent. "

"I have to praise these guys at Agile again. A year ago, we hired them on a recommendation from our painter to fix some rotted window frames/beams on our 1936 Minneapolis home. The attention to detail was noted by my very particular neighbor who watched them while I was at work. We saved over $700 by using them instead of the other 2 local contractors that gave us bids. They even fixed the drip caps that were installed incorrectly causing the problem in the first place. Very pleased with the above and beyond experience we received.
Earlier this month I called them to fix a bedroom ceiling that had cracked and opened from an ongoing ice dam issue. They cut out the section of the ceiling, removed all the damp insulation, replaced damp wood, mud and sprayed the ceiling to match. They were able to start and finish the job within my short timeframe of 3 days. Looks great and they used their own drop cloths and vacuumed up everything. Thanks so much!"

"They started and completed my projects on time, got inspections on time, the price was very fair for both of my projects, got a good deal on porch & basement finished for 45 K. Covered and protected work areas while the work is being done. Each morning they showed up on time. Company with ties to suppliers that have the best buys on materials and other items I was need to purchase for my projects. Have a huge showrooms with products. I would use this company again if I would do any remodeling work!"

"I can't say enough about and (husband and wife team owners of ). This was our first remodel and we were nervous given the horror stories about contractors from friends and family. We knew as soon as we met that we wanted to work with him if his proposal came in as reasonable, which it did. At our first meeting, he was low key, easy to talk to, and honest. He was the only contractor we met who told us that he could not personally remove the asbestos tile which covered the entire remodel area since it was dangerous and he did not have a license to do so, but that he could find someone to do it who was licensed and expert in this field. The other contractors we interviewed either did not know what kind of tiles they were looking at, or just said they could "rip it up".
The end result of the remodel was amazing. We could not be happier with our new basement. The entire process was smooth. and 's communications to us were outstanding. At the beginning of the process, they asked us how we'd like to be communicated to about the project. Although we spoke to every day to ask or answer a question or two, they sent us detailed project updates via email every week, as well as if they had larger questions requiring more detailed answers. or one of his contractors was on our doorstep at 8AM every day and went right to work, and by 6PM when we arrived home, they were just packing up. and his team cleaned up after themselves every day. and are extraordinarily conscientious. They would update us constantly and let us know if there were any minor issues that were being fixed. came back several times to readjust a large medicine cabinet just to our liking. Although he is not an interior designer by any means, he would always give us good personal opinions when asked on wood finishes, door selection, layout, etc.
The cost of the project was competitive. You might find some general contractors who will tell you that they can do it all for a slightly lower cost. I can't see how one person can be enough of an expert in all these areas - carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tiling - to do a really good job. We appreciated the fact that brought in true experts in their field to do the job right. The painter was so thorough he went over his work every night with a flashlight. The night after the remodel was complete we had a minor issue with the plumbing which was corrected immediately the next day. But that night we called and he was immediately on the phone with the plumber, who called us right away and was in the next day to fix the problem and follow up with us. The electricians were creative and flexible as we brainstormed with them about how and where we would put in new fixtures throughout the basement. As a result of the expert workmanship that was able to bring in, everything was done well, and it shows. Another thing I'd like to point out is that was more than fair with us when the inevitable surprises occurred. For example, we had selected very small glass tiles for our entire shower stall. We had no idea how challenging and tricky this type of tile is to install. After and , who are very experienced in tiling, discovered that they could not do the job perfectly for us to meet their very high standards, they brought in a senior expert to do that part of the work. I'm sure it cost them a pretty penny to do so, but the cost was not passed on to us. The work was exceptional. I found out later from a friend that she had installed the same tile in her shower and her "professional" was unable to install it straight and it ended up slightly wavy. Another point I'd like to make is that and passed along all their trade discounts to us, they did not " up" the wholesale costs to make a profit on us. Their philosophy is that if they were not involved in going to the stores to select the tiles, fixtures, and carpeting, they would pass along their discount.
At the end of the project, and gave us a gift basket and brought in a cleaning service. What a treat, though it should have been us giving them a gift. and care deeply about their business and it shows. They are highly conscientious, excellent listeners, flexible, patient, have a good sense of humor that carried us through the very few and minor but inevitable "hiccups" in the project, extremely responsive, and they care about the quality of what they are doing. They are highly professional and we trust them completely. We have since brought back in this week to provide us with an estimate for some custom cabinets in our dining room. I highly recommend and would use them for almost any other work."

" was hired to finish a bathroom in my basement. We agreed upon a price of $3500. He started the project after I wrote him an initial check of $1500. He did some partial work which included installing drywall, and running some wires. After this work he asked for an additional check of $1000. This was paid and for the next 6 months I never saw again. He gave various excuses and after nearly a year of delays and promises we finally agreed to cancel the project. He agreed to refund $600 of the total $2500 paid to him. He wrote me a check for $600 and told me not to cash it. After several more months he then replaced that $600 check with four $150 checks spaced 15 days apart. The first two checks cleared without any problems. The third check bounced and again for the next several months made several promises to repay and missed every one. It's been over a year now and I've been forced to take to court over the matter. It turns out I'm not alone as already has two claims against him (do a on the Minnesota courts website for ). Overall it has been a terrible experience and I would never use again."

"Overall it went quite well. There were several small details that weren't done right the first time but was extremely responsive to every issue we brought up and had everything immediately fixed to our satisfaction for no extra charge. OTC's price was much more competitive than the other bids we received and we are very happy with the end result. Workers were all polite and nice. Timeline was essentially as expected."

"I worked with , who was very responsive and helpful. He answered all of my questions, provided references and gave ideas regarding the remodel. He was very thoughtful and and friendly. We scheduled a follow-up visit with him and the masons to view the structural issue with the garage, which also went well. The estimate was in line with the others that I recieved. Ultimately, I decided to go with another company, but based on my positive experience, I would definitely recommend talking to and to anyone considering a remodel."

" did a fantastic job. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the way our home has turned out. It was a very large job and was made more difficult by access issues, and the weather.
The job was started in September and finished up in mid-February. Considering the weather and some of the formidable challenges associated with the site, it says a lot about and his ability to get the job done.
My wife and I can't say enough good things about and his company. He was very professional, courteous and thoughtful in his business dealings with us. We felt that he went above and beyond what most builders would do to ensure that we received the most for our dollar. All of the work that he did was first rate and done to a level you would expect if he were working on his own families home.
We would highly recommend to anyone without any reservations, and would be glad to give anyone considering IHS a positive reference.
If we ever build new or have reason to remodel in the future our first call will be to ."

" and 's bid was very competitive. They were very responsive by e-mail and phone throughout the process. Everything was done on time. All of the subcontractors seemed really good too.
The room looks absolutely great! They turned a dark cave of a room into a really cozy space that my guests have loved. and had tons of great suggestions. Their company really specializes in restoring old South Minneapolis houses. They had so much knowledge and many smart ideas. And they are just really nice and pleasant to work with. They never made me feel stupid even when I asked really basic questions (I'm a new homeowner, so I had a lot of very basic questions.)
It was a no-stress process for me. I'm very pleased and would certainly recommend , especially if you live in an older house."
