Minneapolis Real Estate Reviews
I was so happy to reach a real human being and her conversation made me feel confident in my choice to use them.
On the day of moving I was pretty stressed... Wondering how the move would go in the dang freezing weather, but I need not have worried.
I think it was minus 4 degrees that day, cold as h*** with some light flaky snow as well.
I found the team of movers very pleasent and actually fun to work with. They were so light on their feet and professional and joked between themselves and moved at an incredible speed. At first I sort of wonderewd when they arrived if they could handle this, considering it was very icy to the street from my home and then the townhouse had the difficulty of a steep entrance and narrow hallway up to the main floor from the street level.
They had it down and used quilts and covered any slippery areas to and from the house and truck.
These guys nailed it.
It was fairly amazing how well put together that team was. Very respectful of not breaking or scraping anything.
My last experience with a move back in 2009 had taken twice as long and the team back then had argued amongst themselves the whole time.
This move with
It made my move so much better then I'd expected. It took 3 men 3 hours. Perfect!
However, there were several damages done to my house.
First, the little doohickey that holds the bannister to the wall was broken in half, and the bannister (obviously) came off the wall.
Second, paint was chipped going up the stairs to the second floor.
When I pointed out the broken bannister, the movers said very casually, with no sense of responsibility or apology, that it was already like that when they came, and they hadn't done it. Yet I had used the bannister that morning and it was fine. The stairs to the basement are steep and I rely on the bannister.
The chipped paint, I didn't notice until later.
I called the manager of the place, who was apologetic, and said he would get these things fixed as soon as he could.
Within a week, he had repainted the chipped paint. However, not very well. The paint doesn't match and it clearly shows where the chips were. I'll need to have it repaired by someone else in order to have it really look the same.
And the bannister--well, he did buy a new doohickey and put it in the wall (two weeks later), but it doesn't fit well and the bannister pulls out of the wall anytime someone pulls on it. We pound it back on with a hammer, and use it very carefully, but it is a real hazard and, again, we'll need to bring in a professional to fix it. (I have not called back and insisted that this company re-do the jobs because, frankly, I have no faith that they would do them well.)
Everyone at the service was "nice," and friendly, but no, I would certainly not use them again, nor recommend them to a friend.
They arrived on time in
The bad: They broke a mirror right in front of me and made a note to take care of that on the paperwork. A couple days after they left i hooked up my dehumidifier and it didn't work. I called and told them about it.
I sent a copy of the replacement price for the mirror and the dehumidifier.
Over a month later i took off the cover of the dehumidifier and found that a wire had broke and fixed it myself.
Any normal customer would bring it in for repair and send the mover the bill.
I sent a note telling I had fixed it.
Today is 12/6/13.
I still have not received anything from them about the mirror.
Goose (the onsite supervisor) remembered me from about 2 years prior.
Our stuff was in 2 locations-a 1600 sq ft condo (on the 9th floor of a DT condo) + 2 storage rooms. We moved into a much bigger house a few miles away.
We scheduled one 27ft truck and 3 guys. As they got into packing, it became clear that we would need to add an additional truck if we were to have any
