They moved both homes very efficiently and professionally. They did their best to get our furniture through those small South Minneapolis doorways leading upstairs and downstairs (even taking apart an elliptical machine to get it to go down the basement stairs). "Saturday May 22 First move $1166 Four men as requested arrived on time. Did a fine job of packing and moving excepted they damaged grandfather clock pendulum. Sunday June 13 Second move $720 Arrived without packing materials or boxes. Unwilling to go and get the needed boxes and packing materials. Friday June 24 Final move $737 Move scheduled to begin mid afternoon. They called at 8:30 to say they would arrive at 9AM. Only two men instead of needed four arrived. The other mover never arrived. The job took all day instead of the expected 4 hours. The office personnel did a terrible job as far as I am concerned. 1. The moved was paid for by insurance as so needed some paper work signed by

before the work was done. I was told by one of the employees that only the owner could sign these papers. It took several calls and a couple of weeks to get the paper work back. 2. The paperwork done by the office staff resulted in not enough movers or the correct equipment for both the second and third move. 3. I needed to return to

?s headquarters three times to get the refund for the boxes I was charged for that were returned by the movers on June 24. 4. The insurance company issued a check for the moving in both my name and Local Motions name. That check needed to be signed by

so that I could cash it. I had already paid

in full. Again only the owner or vice president could sign the check but they did not keep regular office hours, office personnel did not know when they would be in or for how long. The first time was kept waiting for over 45 minutes only to be finally told that no one that could sign the check was there. The receptionist told me to try between 10 and 2 the net day. I did and again either signer was in the office. At that point the bookkeeper told me that the only way to get the check signed was to leave it with her and she would call me when it was signed. The actual movers did an OK job especially considering two out of the three moves involved working with inadequate equipment and not enough personnel."

They had our stuff unloaded into the house by 3:25 pm (we helped unload boxes, too). All three of them were extremely personable, upbeat, and very capable at moving items. They saved us $200 on the original quote, and did so with smiles on their faces. We were thrilled with their work, and would not hesitate to use them again."
