Moving reviews in Minneapolis

One member of their crew showed up on time but the other guys were stuck in traffic. They promptly informed me that we would not be charged until the entire crew showed up - nevertheless, the guy got to work. Once the rest of the crew showed up they got to work and worked hard until the moment they were done. They were all friendly, professional, and took good care of our belongings.
I'd hire them again in a heartbeat.

the crew worked really hard and very efficiently. they lost nothing and broke nothing. they were professional and consistently pleasant to work with throughout a humid summer afternoon. we needed more of their time than the coupon bought and i thought their overage rate was fair.
the thing to pay attention to with this company's angie's list coupon is that they add an $85 destination charge. this was not clear to us until printing the coupon. the manager took steps to address the matter and i actually ended up a satisfied customer.

On moving day, I looked at my husband and said, "we didn't hire movers - we hired some sort of magical performing circus where all the performers are moving our stuff!"
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
quoted me between 5-8 hours for our move based on a detailed inventory of our items. We purchased the Big Deal for 4 movers for 2 hours, but
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
sent an additional mover with his crew at no charge. They arrived five minutes early with extra supplies in case we needed them. The crew moved at lightning speed to shrink wrap our furniture and load it onto the truck. They moved so quickly, in fact, that it only took 90 minutes to get everything prepped and onto the truck! The crew had to wait 30 minutes for
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
to come pick up the additional movers because there wasn't room in the truck for them. We were not charged for this additional time.
We even had a one unplanned stop to drop off an unwanted couch at a local friend's house, which they obliged without hesitation.
When we arrived at the new apartment, the crew didn't quite pay attention to the clearly labeled boxes and items, even though we directed them to the appropriate rooms. So, we found several items misplaced - not a big deal, considering how quickly they were moving! We later found that one of our bookshelves was damaged because a crew member wrapped it in tape rather than shrink wrap, which took off all the finish underneath, which is why we rated the Quality as a "B".
Every crew member was kind, courteous, and polite. We were quoted 5-8 hours, and the job ended up only taking 3.5 hours, including our unscheduled stop! We were very pleased with the result of our move and plan to hire

the next time we move.

The move to apt was on the 3rd floor with no elevator.

Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
were friendly, courteous, professional and a joy to work with. They kept up such a good and cheerful attitude despite the high humidity and the many stairs to climb. They arrived on time and wrapped the necessary furniture and kept things moving along. I was very impressed with them. I would definitely hire again.

The move went very smooth. It was the first time we had hired movers and with this experience we would hire them again.
We had a the closing set for 12, when we were done they were already at the new address waiting for us.
They got to our house on time and started moving items right away. They picked up our stored boxes from second location as well.
They were right on their estimate they gave to us, and were actually on the low end of their estimated cost range.

An Excellent experience.
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
and the rest of the staff returned calls promptly, came out and gave a realistic estimate and made several good cost-saving suggestions. They dropped off boxes including picture/mirror boxes (for a small fee to cover their delivery costs) and offered packing services (that we did not use but good to know that this was an option). The move itself was remarkably smooth. The crew of three couldn't have been more pleasant, professional and speedy at both ends of the move. We were able to leave clothes hanging in closets that were hung by them in a wardrobe box and then hung up in the new closets! We returned the boxes after the move so there was no charge for the boxes (unusual according to others we know who have moved recently). We wouldn't hesitate to encourage others to use this company. They made the move itself easier than we ever dreamed possible..

The people we dealt with from
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
were very personable and helpful. We were attempting to do all of our own packing but were not sure if we would make it by our move date. We requested an estimate with and without packers. We explained our goal was to get everything packed ourselves but it was a lot more than we realized as we went along.
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
checked with us prior to our move a couple of times to see if we needed help packing and assured us that if we needed help, they would send out their people. Sure enough, the evening of the day before the move,
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
(the owner) called to see if we needed help. We said yes that we probably won't make it. He said I will send out someone at 8 am the next day.

showed up and then

came and helped to finish boxing up everything.
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
answered all our questions/concerns before, during and after the move.
This moving crew arrived on moving day early, eager and ready to go. Start time was 8 am. They went over all the details before beginning and walked us through the plan. They got right to work loading the truck. They were a very happy fun crew who enjoyed their work. They joked with each other, and with us which created a relaxed environment during the busy day. All four guys were very respectful of our items and addressed all issues related to the moving process. When we arrived at our new residence, they made sure they placed all of the furniture in the correct rooms and in the places we desired. They would ask if it wasn't clear where boxes or items should be located. This crew completed the move by 2 pm which included a very short lunch break (maybe a half hour). It was amazing for us to see a whole house full of boxes and furniture get loaded up, brought to the new place and unloaded and placed properly in that time frame. This team worked together very efficiently with ease.
Working with
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
enabled our move to be comfortable and smooth. They were very thorough and covered all the necessary steps. The final cost came in way under the estimate given to us prior to the move. When
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
came and picked up our boxes a couple of weeks after the move, he said to give us a call anytime we needed anything to move. He said he lived in the area and a couple of the others did, so it would be no problem for them to move something for us.
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
also told us a month prior to the move that if we needed boxes, just give him a call the night before and he could drop them off in the morning on his way to work. We found all of them to be very personable. Whenever I called their office,
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
was always helpful and kind. I would hire them again for moving.

From the very first email things went sour from my point of view. When I asked (via email) for availability, I received a terse reply back that they were busy so call them. Just like that "We're busy. Call us." I didn't care for that lack of professionalism. Then when I did call, the guy was borderline rude. But I went with them out of desperation because it was a small job no one else wanted - unloading a POD for maybe 2 hours - and I was recovering from abdominal surgery. The movers were over an hour late. The owner/manager(?) called 15 mins AFTER their latest due time to state they would be late. Ah, yeah, I figured that out since they were not here within their 3 hour time frame. I had three very young boys show up who were friendly to a point, but just barely. They did NOT apologize for being late. They used our dollies and dropped three boxes within the first 20 mins. They were very prompt about their cut-off time, however, so they did not run over what I had paid. We helped them move boxes to keep the costs down. Then I paid and they left, but not before I reminded the foreman I would like my receipt. After working with Good Stuff Moving, I couldn't be less impressed with

& Storage. I will never use them again. really not worth the effort or money. I should have heeded the other reviews.

On 6/19I contacted
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
through Angie's List to ask if his company did long distance moves. He assured me that he did and we set up an apointment for him to come to our home for an onsite estimate. He was supposed to come on 6/24, but didn't show up. We contacted him later that day, and he said he would "make it up to us by coming the next day". He arrived on time and told us our move could be handled two ways: he could get us a quote from a "container company" and using his movers to load the container. He also said his company could handle he entire move. At that time, we also told him we would like our car to be transported. On 6/26 I got a quote from the container company. A couple of days later,
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
quoted me the price for his movers to load the container truck from our current location, I contacted him on 7/1 to ask him for a quote on his company doing the full move. On 7/2 he wrote me that he decided he could only subcontract railers on long distance moves. I was still considering using this method for our move, so I contacted him back and asked if he found us movers to unload the trailer at the other end of our move, and what that price would be, and also asked him about transporting our car. A day later we started receiving 100's of emails and phone calls on our cell phone about car transport. He put our name, email address and cell phone out on a data base and we were bombarded with people contacting us. I immediately contacted
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
and told him what was happening. I never heard back from him again.Three weeks later, we are STILL receiving phone calls and emails about car transport. I feel this was very unprofessional - there is no way he should have put our private information out like he did. Needless to say, we are not using his company for our move. He might be fine for local moves - but then he shouldn't tell clients that he can handle long distance moves, because it is apparent that he cannot. He never did get back to us about movers to unload the truck on the other end of our move.

These guys were very professional and friendly. They had two trucks and 4 big guys to help move very heavy pieces of furniture out of two different one bedroom apartments. They showed up exactly on time and began working immediately. They made the whole experience look effortless. Nothing was damaged in the process and they placed all the pieces where we told them to put them. Then they stayed and moved things for us as needed. We had one large, heavy armoire which would not fit into an attic bedroom, so they removed the doors and got it inside and placed the doors back into position. Also, one of those apartments was on a third floor
Minneapolis Movers Provider Name Locked
- no elevator - about 7 flights of stairs to the truck. No one complained, no one gave attitude, the guys smiled, joked and even sang a little bit as they moved. It was a very good experience. I had major surgery and couldn't lift anything so these guys and this company saved me!! I will definitely use them again, and I have already recommended them to some friends who are moving. A++ company in our minds!
