Landscaping reviews in Minneapolis

The cost does not reflect all of the work he has done because I kept having him return to do additional work.

is extraordinarily pleasant, extremely hard working, and knowledgeable. He is a master gardener, and his "day job" is working as a gardener at the Minneapolis VA. I am certain that I will hire him in the future.

was very professional. He returned phone calls promptly, listened to what I wanted to get done, and offered options. I hired him because of that and he followed through very well with everything he said he would do and he did it with good quality. Once he started work on the job, I realized that there was one more thing I wanted done. When I talked with him about it, he was flexible and agreed to add that to the job for a reasonable additional cost. I would hire him again!

My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with our experience with
Minneapolis Landscapers Provider Name Locked
. We recently moved into our home and had a baby. So, having them tackle our landscaping projects took some big "to-do" items off our plate! We felt like Regg and his crew were incredibly professional, listened attentively to what we wanted, and they were considerate of the fact that we wanted to be educated throughout the process too - we wanted to be aware of how to maintain the work he was doing for us long after they were finished!
I would (and already have), recommended
Minneapolis Landscapers Provider Name Locked
to anyone looking for professional, experienced and reasonably-priced landscapers.

Came in less than budget, cleaned up afterwards, even found items in yard to place on dirt (metal mermaids etc.) a very nice thing to do at no charge. Nick was conscientious, easy to talk to and professional. A nice trustworthy guy. I would highly recommend him.

I came upon this provider who advertised on Angie's List for 400 yards/feet? of sod for $450. The provider came out and he indicated the sod would not work because of the shaded area. We talked about other options. One of which was to widen existing beds.
When he arrived to begin work I showed him where I wanted the existing beds widened -- basically, "to here." No dimensions or increase in price were discussed or written. Work began immediately, and was performed as expected, except for the loss of one small but healthy bush that they transplanted. He immediately was made aware of the dying bush and simply said to keep watering it. That did not work, so I dedducted $25 for it when the bill arrived.
Problem was that the needed vinyl edging increased from 45 linear feet to 250 linear feet. The increased amount was not discussed in terms of feet or dollars during the conversation that morning. Admittedly, my mistake was not asking for a dollar amount or getting this in writing, though in previous conversations we discussed the fact that I was working within a budget. (When I signed the contract, it was to be accompanied by a deposit of half -- which was $1000 for $2000 worth of work. I was informed earlier that it could run a little higher, not realizing it could ever run even near $1000 higher.)
In defense of himself during later conversation, he stated: "'I am sorry for the large increase in the invoice. The increase in price was from the edging that was installed. The most recent estimate had 45' of edging on it. We actually installed 250'. This is where the increase came from. I had sent 3 separate quotes with different items to complete. When we arrived I was under the assumption that we would do the items you asked us to do which included the edging. I am sorry for the assumption but being that we installed over the amount, I thought you would realize it would be more." (One thousand dollars more??)
Rather than "assuming" and thinking I "would realize it would be more," I would think he had a responsibility to his customer to make sure that how much more charges were clear on both our parts. Additionally, I told him that the previous three quotes were too high, which is why the $1000 deposit for $2000 worth of work..As I indicated to

, he is aware of his prices -- I am not.. But, oh, that's right, businesses are in business...to make money.

earlier in the month for a quote to correct the grading around the house. They were able to come out right a away and provide a quote. Initially, I was expecting the work to be completed the first week of September since most landscape companies are booked solid during the summer. Fortunately, they were able to fit me in right away since they were working nearby.
On the day of service, they called in the morning to let me know what time they would arrive. The actual work only took a few hours and they even finished early. They were very professional and gave suggestions on future maintenance. I would definitely work with them again for future projects.

Their first contact person quit on them and I figured they wouldn't be able come through. However,
Minneapolis Landscapers Provider Name Locked
quickly contacted me, set up another appt. and met with me in a timely fashion. He listened to my issues and explained the most affordable solution. While it didn't have a few of the fancy bells and whistles other companies had offered the price was $25-30K less than others had estimated. Other companies didn't seem to listen to what I wanted and based their estimates more on what they wanted to do. We scheduled the work and

and his crew arrived bright and early on the scheduled day. Big crew, all working hard. Followed plan, no surprises. Finished in one day. Cost met estimate.
The only reason I gave them a B in quality was the sod apparently came from different skids and was clearly different in nature. Although it all has grown well it has not evened out yet, but it has been only three weeks. Overall a good and affordable job and I would definitely recommend and use

Bros in the future.

This was a really smooth process.

Petschl, Owner, immediately grasped the concept we had in mind. She emailed an overall plan, several color views and an estimate in a few days. She was open to some minor changes in the plants of two varieties I wasn't sure about the ease of care and was willing to use plants she chose that I already had in my garden. She also understood the concept of a mixed media border around the gardens adding to some bricks I already had on hand. Other than those small details, we went entirely with her concept.
Her crew arrived on time and were pleasant to work with. They replaced the topsoil with black dirt and covered the bed with dark shredded wood, chose some boulders and stepping stones, and planted all the plants including transplanting one variety I already had. We were particularly pleased with
Minneapolis Landscapers Provider Name Locked
's choice of additional materials for the brick and stone border because the size and color had variation and visual interest. The boulders she chose were also visually interesting in color and texture.
All during the process,

's employees communicated and asked questions and

Minneapolis Landscapers Provider Name Locked
explained they do a spring follow-up to be sure all the plants survived the winter, replace any that didn't make it, give them a spring fertilizing and gave me instructions about how to care for the garden the rest of the summer to give it a healthy start.

The design process was very thorough and comprehensive.

spent quite a bit of time with us to talk through what we wanted, how we live, what our style is like, etc. She put together an incredible backyard oasis design for us and then when it was out of our price range, worked very creatively with us to get back into budget while still maintaining the essence and elements of the design we fell in love with. They understood that we would need to complete the full project over a period of time instead of all at once. Great communication throughout the project!
We completed the majority of the work that requires heavy equipment this year, which accomodated our pool and transformed the entertaining area around our home and are absolutely thrilled with the result! The patio is beautiful!
Minneapolis Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and the crew were very polite and professional and were great about checking with us anytime they had any questions or ideas of changes / tweaks to the plan we may want to consider. Very hard-working group and they do a fabulous job of cleaning up at the end of the day, which our neighbors truly appreciated. They turned a great design into reality!
We really enjoyed our experience with ALD and look forward to the next round of work!

r the plan.I bought a big deal for a landscaping plan for my yard and the person who came out was prompt and professional. He
Minneapolis Landscapers Provider Name Locked
up the plan and emailed it to me. He originally didnt include some things I asked for but sent me the corrections when I gave him that feedback. I felt lukewarm about the actual garden design and decided to just keep working on my own design, so I didn't end up purchasing the plants or services beyond the big deal for the plan.
