"The quote was medium range and we settled on a date to start the work. The date was quite soon so that was favorable. The day of the work, I found out in the morning that there was a permit needed for the work and did not have it. After inquiring when the work can start again, I got a vague answer. I left with an impression of being overpromised and under delivered. "

"It turned out really well. It looks beautiful. They were so great to work with. They were friendly professional, considerate of my dogs and dog sitter. They kept me updated on the progress via email."

"
They came out really quickly and they are doing the work now. So far, they are under what they quoted us even though they’ve run into snags. They were very honest and upfront during the quote and they gave us suggestions that turned out better than we thought. Everything is working out really well.

"Rocky is very personable, service oriented, responsive as a general contractor. He brought in quality subcontractors, and took care of small problems as they arose, including some small disputes with work done. He initiated changes to a few corrections that were needed. He was flexible as we added a number of changes to our remodeling plan. He was responsive to my texts, calls and emails. His assistant is a master craftsman at woodworking and offered many ideas and solutions to design problems as they arose. He presented us with a chart for the timing of stages of the project and held tightly to the schedule. The team was neat and clean. He worked well with the condo management of our building."

"Overall it went quite well. There were several small details that weren't done right the first time but was extremely responsive to every issue we brought up and had everything immediately fixed to our satisfaction for no extra charge. OTC's price was much more competitive than the other bids we received and we are very happy with the end result. Workers were all polite and nice. Timeline was essentially as expected."

"I worked with , who was very responsive and helpful. He answered all of my questions, provided references and gave ideas regarding the remodel. He was very thoughtful and and friendly. We scheduled a follow-up visit with him and the masons to view the structural issue with the garage, which also went well. The estimate was in line with the others that I recieved. Ultimately, I decided to go with another company, but based on my positive experience, I would definitely recommend talking to and to anyone considering a remodel."

"We were having problems with vibration and had some concerns with our laundry on the second floor. listened to our concerns and came up with a great affordable solution. He removed a closet and reconfigured our laundry adding several features to stop the vibration and to allow for emergency draining to the outside. He brought in plumbers to do the piping, he leveled the floor, built a counter, reinstalled the washer and dryer and painted. The solution solved all of our concerns and far exceeded our expectations."

" did a fantastic job. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the way our home has turned out. It was a very large job and was made more difficult by access issues, and the weather.
The job was started in September and finished up in mid-February. Considering the weather and some of the formidable challenges associated with the site, it says a lot about and his ability to get the job done.
My wife and I can't say enough good things about and his company. He was very professional, courteous and thoughtful in his business dealings with us. We felt that he went above and beyond what most builders would do to ensure that we received the most for our dollar. All of the work that he did was first rate and done to a level you would expect if he were working on his own families home.
We would highly recommend to anyone without any reservations, and would be glad to give anyone considering IHS a positive reference.
If we ever build new or have reason to remodel in the future our first call will be to ."

" was quick to respond to my request for proposal. He was willing to work with me and help develop ideas about what I wanted to do and how it could be accomplished. He was friendly, professional, and resourceful as well. He has an obvious affection for old houses."

"We couldn't be happier with the way the work turned out, and the experience we had using . They and their sub-contractors were good people. Having some previous experience in construction myself, I liked that WB incorporated my material choices (like plywood instead of OSB, tar paper instead of tyvek, etc.) and technique preferences and made suggestions on better techniques when appropriate. The weekly meeting they use was a great way to stay involved in the process to make sure our concerns stayed in the project. After ~2 years since the remodel, we haven't had any issues. The only negative was that WB quote was higher than some of our other bids. Ultimately they were open to sharing their costs and allowing us to make some of the trade-off decisions to keep us on budget. We probably paid a few percent more, but got what we wanted in the end. Well worth the slightly higher cost in my experience (having done major remodels at least twice before, I preferred their method over the others I've tried)."
