Hvac Reviews in Minneapolis

He quickly diagnosed it was the capacitor and replaced it and had the A/C up and running within 15 minutes. Love it when the serviceman knows his stuff! The only bad spot was the price for this little piece ($168.00) - ouch! But we're "cool" again and that's what matters.

Terrible customer service. They were scheduled to look at our boiler to see if leaks were covered under warranty. Appointment was set for Monday during a 1-5 window--they never showed up or called. FInally, I called at 5:30 and was assured they were on their way. Again a no show and no call. After several tries, I finally got in touch with them the next day. Five days and two appointments later they inform me that the work is not covered under warranty. Many hours wasted just to find our that can't help us. If I had a
I would be poking pins in it right now.

Hvac reviews in Minneapolis

We were supposed to have someone at our home on May 28, between 11-1PM. I received a call at 12:30 letting me know that the tech was running late. I let them know that they had to be at our home before 2:30 or we'd have to reschedule. I was assured that they would be there. At 3:15, I finally called to reschedule for the following day. The tech who showed up told us that we had a small leak and needed to have our refrigeration recharged. It was $395 to have that done. When I asked what the cost to replace the unit would be, he let me know that it would be "right around $8,500". I opted to have the refrigeration recharged. It never fixed anything and our AC never cooled our house. Then, I was overcharged on my invoice by the $69 this offer was giving me, so I had to call to have it changed that same day. I emailed to let them know that things were still not working, since it was after hours. They called back and left a message at 10PM. I called the next morning. Played phone tag with two different people for a day and a half and then they stopped returning my phone calls. Now, I am out $400 with an air conditioner that still doesn't work.

He calls about 30 minutes before he comes... I request that... and he uses the blue footies inside my home. he is pleasant and comfortable .. tells me what he did and how things are. I have used

for my original furnace and then when I had to add another furnace when the house was enlarged, I continued with their surface and they come twice a year to check everything.

I thought there was a leak, but it ended up just being an issue with the filtration system. Fixed in less than an hour. Fantastic job and highly recommended.

6:15AM: despite the AC having been on for 24 hours, I woke up to an 83 degree house. The air blowing out of the vents was not cool.
6:45AM: sent a message to standard via Angies List, the office wasn't yet open
7:49AM: got a call from Standard. The representative I spoke to offered me the Angie's List discount without my having to ask, and said the technician could be at my house between 10:00 and 1:00 today
10:30: The technician arrived at my house, immediately located the problem part, got a replacement part out of his truck and installed it. Within a few minutes, the AC was back up and running and there is nice cool air coming out of all the vents.
I wish every service call went like that!

Initially, they undersized the upstairs unit so it did not cool sufficiently, but they replaced it at no additional cost with a bigger unit. Unfortunately, the fan on the bigger unit went bad shortly after installation and is loud and rattles. I called them on many occasions to come fix it, and they promised they would, but they never followed through, so I gave up and just ended up going to a different provider. In addition, when they installed the larger unit upstairs, they neglected to mention that the size of the unit would preclude me from using the fourth head on my outdoor unit. Now I am stuck with having to install a second outdoor condenser to cool my downstairs (a much more expensive option) instead of using the fourth head to cool my downstairs. Again, I called on multiple occasions to have them come out to look at the installation and come up with alternatives so that I did not have to install a second outside unit, and could use the fourth head They said they would help, but again, never followed through.

took apart system to access fan motor. Stuck a pen through the fins to try to spin and didn't spin.
took cover off to try to remove fan blade from motor and fan started spinning freely. I ask
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
about the motor spinning freely and he states that its shot.
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
quotes me $99 for diagnosing and $489 to replace fan motor. Seemed very high but I authorized to go ahead.
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
puts in new fan motor and it looks twice the size of the original equipment. Says go ahead and turn unit on. I turn it on and hear this terrible
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
noise, he shuts it off quickly. Wrong motor, too big. Fan blade hitting parts. He states that this is for commercial use but should work. I said why can't you get the original equipment part?. He states that he can but they are junk, twice as expensive and don't last long. Well, seems the original one lasted 14 years!
I instructed him to put it all back together with exception of the fan motor, that I would try to source one and have them install it..he says ok.
I went into
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
appliance with original fan motor and told them AQS guy tells me this is frozen and needs to be replaced. He says no its perfectly fine, But replacement is only $165 for the part. So i take it back home try try to reconnect and notice other wires missing that AQS took off and didn't reinstall.
I called the owner
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
of AQS and he gets pissy and says they are giving me my $99 back and don't ever call us again, that I accused installer of STEALING my parts. I Never accused anyone of stealing, but obviously they did take parts that weren't reinstalled.
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
stated that he would send installer back with my parts and $99. He says go ahead and install your own parts.
I just don't understand why they were trying make some cheap aftermarket motor work that wasn't made for that unit.
what the customer doesn't know won't hurt em, right?.well I took the time to educate myself and found that they were trying to hoodwink me. Do your home work. Watch workers perform work, ask questions.
as im writng this the installer brings back a hand full of wires and nuts. I asked him where the wires plug in and he says "I don't know"

I scheduled an assessment/appointment with three companies. A
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
rep. was here within two days, scheduled the installation for one week later, and got the job completely finished in about four hours. The two other companies are still calling and fumbling their way through emails trying to make an appointment. I am happy with the professionalism they displayed, and that future maintenance is covered by a warranty and extended via the Service Plus plan. The AC gets added as a free additional item that is now covered.

From the first phone conversation through the completion of work,
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was great to work with. I talked with him on the phone to discuss what was needed after a Truth and Housing inspection which found the vent issue.
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
pulled the permit (which was required after the inspection), completed the work and followed-up to see if all was good. He was honest and told me the actual vent in the roof didn't need to be replace so the final bill was less than estimated.
Minneapolis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was on time and always responsive. Would use again!
