Minneapolis Hospitals Reviews

"I had never been to Health Partners, but found out that my insurance covered them. I went into urgent care, dealing with a persistent cough and a difficult time breathing. I assumed it was bronchitis, as I had been dealing with it for over a week.

Service, from start to finish, was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I did have to wait a while, but there were a number of people ahead of me (which is why I still give punctuality an "A").

When I was seen by the doctor, she was very friendly and empathetic. She listened to my lungs to determine whether it was pneumonia or bronchitis. My lungs were clear, so she diagnosed me with bronchitis. She prescribed me antibiotics and a new inhaler (which she had sent over to the Health Partners pharmacy with my approval). She ensured that all of my questions were answered before wrapping up the visit.

The pharmacists were excellent as well. When I received my antibiotics, I was asked if I had used them before. I told them it had been a while, so they explained how the dosages work.

Overall - excellent experience. I will go to them in the future.
"Interestingly I felt the care here by the nursing and aid staff was wonderful. In the last year I was admitted three times and spent a total of eight weeks in the hospital. The nurse/aid teams worked well together and seemed to communicate well. Nurses were always caring and making sure I was doing what I was supposed to do. The aids were friendly and helpful, nsg. management came around as well to ask about any concerns I might have. I never had a call light unanswered, had adequate help for showers, walking, etc. and clean linens all the time. As with another hospital I was in, hand hygiene seems to be a bit of an issue but if reminded they were happy to foam in and out."
"My mom was taken to this hospital at her request. She had collapsed on the floor in her home that morning and had to be taken out on a stretcher by the ambulance crew as she had too much pain in her back to stand up. The waiting area was clean and comfortable. The room she was in was all right but cold. She was given painkillers. The doctor performed the exam after these took effect. As she did not have "normal" symptoms of spinal damage he did not ok any X-

or MRI. He was brusque to the point of being rude. The nurses were not very helpful. The pain in her back ended up being two cracked vertebrae, diagnosed by a later surgeon after an MRI. I was exceedingly unhappy with the ERs treatment of her (or lack thereof) as it delayed diagnosis and treatment by months.
"They are very good. I have been completely happy with them. The staff is wonderful and friendly. They are even pretty good with punctuality. I would recommend them to others who are searching out a doctor."
"I had a birthing sheet of how I wanted the birth to go -- no drugs, no medical devices, no cutting, etc. But it was laughed at. A nurse used a dull needle. After a few minutes she finally gave me a sharp one. The nurses thought the birth wasn't moving fast enough, so they put me on the "pit". Then I had to have pain meds. The cord to the IV was kinked, and when they noticed, I got a big jolt of both drugs. I could have given birth an hour or two before (I was there for about 8 hours), but they wanted to see about a hump. The hump never disappeared so they finally said to push anyway. The nurses wouldn't allow me to take a break. They made me feel humiliated. Especially after all the drugs, my baby won't breast feed. When I fed him with the bottle, and when they found that he drank the whole thing, they said that they couldn't believe that. He only has a walnut sized tummy and that he shouldn't have drank that much."
