"Thus far I have mixed reviews on
. I signed up on the state healthcare web site for
Carelink. I had a difficult time accessing them" for information after signing up, but am not signed on to their web site and getting information through the mail. One thing that really has set my head spinning is that during the "shopping" phase of my transition to a new insurance company, there was no information available about the network, which of course is pretty important to those of us who would prefer to keep our doctors, if possible. I called all three of my regular docs and was told that, YES, we take
. Come to find out, the Carelink network is very limited, so I am having to switch out to new docs, and there are very few of them from which to choose.
should have been forthcoming about the apparent reason why Carelink is less expensive per month: very limited network. Accessing
by phone requires a lengthy wait. The reason given for this is a greater demand on the heels of Obamacare, but I have to wonder if they didn't expect this and shouldn't have planned for it. Also, there are multiple numbers for this and that - too many - and several times I did the wait and then found out that I needed another number. One of the numbers was a "circular" automated message that
me back to the start but never where I needed to go. I did give
feedback on this. I did get through to an agent that was helpful in answering questions that should have been answered up front, on the web site, before requiring sign-up. So far not great, is my opinion, but we'll see. I have an appointment with my new doctor the first part of April, so I am hoping that she'll be adequate for my needs. I am a reasonable healthy person but have a few issues that need to be monitored ongoing.

"I switched from Anthem Blue Cross PPO to
for 2013 when Anthem raised their monthly premium. What a mistake! I have to take quite a few medications and the rep" told me that
had some kind of special deal with CVS and that my Rx copays would be less than before. I signed up and when I got my first prescriptions, the cost was far from any "deal." I called and was told that the CVS deal didn't exist anymore. Of course, them I was stuck and couldn't change. Out of pure laziness, I stayed with
for 2014. In February, my drug costs skyrocketed. One that was $14 was all of a sudden almost $65! I called and they've changed the plan to where I now have to pay 25% copay! No notification or anything! I can't wait until enrollment time comes around. Sadly it isn't until October. For sure, I will be changing!

Hi,

This is Leah B. in Member Services, happy to help!

I may need more clarification in order to accurately answer your question. It sounds like you may be trying to locate or review health insurance brokers or agents. You may also be referring to Navigators hired by state and federal government to help people choose an Affordable Care Act plan prior to the sign-up deadline of March 31. In any case, we do not have a category to rate ACA Navigators at this time. If you want to review or locate an insurance provider, a specialist would be happy to help at 888-944-5478, or memberservices@angieslist.com.

It went terribly. The agency and
Minneapolis Health Insurance Providers Provider Name Locked
in particular was unresponsive, unhelpful, rude and ultimately offensive. Once we realized this was not going to be a good relationship I asked the policy be cancelled. This was 48 hours after coverage had commenced. Ms
Minneapolis Health Insurance Providers Provider Name Locked
refused to cancel the policy unless I provided her with proof I had other coverage. I did but could not see why I needed to provide it to her. Recently, 4 months later, I received a letter from a collection agency. Clearly Ms
Minneapolis Health Insurance Providers Provider Name Locked
decided having not sent me a bill to put this into collection. Even the collection agency could not believe it. The premium from
Minneapolis Health Insurance Providers Provider Name Locked
was $334. I got the same insurance from State Farm within 2 hours for $120. don't use this agency.

Highmark has been a reliable carrier for my family. The paperwork I have received from them on my claims has been prompt and accurate. Customer service has generally been good. The issue I have with them right now is the possible elimination of UPMC facilities from their coverage. If this really happens, I will switch to a different provider.

I had been seeing the same out-of-network provider for over a year, and submitting claims for reimbursement after each visit. I had a great deal of trouble getting these claims to be processed correctly. I had to call about almost all of the approximately 15 claims for this provider.
I spent over 8 months attempting to get the date for one visit corrected. Each time, a supervisor would assure me that it would be corrected, but each time, it was left the same and I was forced to call again. I had representatives assure me they would call when aspects of some of the claims were corrected, but they never did. I had mailed claims go missing, and when I re-faxed the claims, they would sit on a supervisor's desk for months after they assured me it would be taken care of "right away."
I would use this insurance provider again, but basically because I am forced to. I was seeing this out-of-network provider because I was ill; having to deal with the nightmare of paperwork and mistakes behind the scenes made it feel as if I was twice as sick.

Overall,
Minneapolis Health Insurance Providers Provider Name Locked
is neither the worst nor the best insurance company I have dealt with. I have had an occasional frustration, such as the coverage for well child exams. The benefits book says newborns to age 12 months receive $600 per benefit period for well child exams. Ages 12 months and up only get My daughter started the benefit period at 8 months, but they did not give us $600 for the benefit year.

We have been using
Minneapolis Health Insurance Providers Provider Name Locked
for about 4 years and now and overall we are satisfied. We have high deductible insurance since our workplace is a small company. Our insurance does cover wellness exams but stopped covering immunizations for my kids at age 9 (I believe). This is simply wrong, since they are still required by law at age 11 to have immunizations to attend school. Perhaps this was an option that our company chose? Not sure. My other gripe is that since my daughter sees an opthamologist for her eye issues instead of an optometrist, our vision coverage doesn't pay. Each visit is $249 out of pocket. In any case, I used to have Blue Cross/Blue Shield of South
Minneapolis Health Insurance Providers Provider Name Locked
and it seemed they disputed more claims than paid. I haven't had any claim disputes with
Minneapolis Health Insurance Providers Provider Name Locked
, but then again, our deductibles are so high with precious little coverage. On a positive note, I really like their website and online management of claims. It is also pretty easy to get in touch with someone on the phone--no small thing!
