was very responsive, provided a rough estimate via e-mail (we sent pictures of what needed to be fixed) and got us on his schedule very quickly. Came to the house, did nice work and actually charged us a little less than estimated. You don't always get service like this, so we really appreciated it. Would highly recommend this company.
"The chairs were reglued. They were not able to do the caning that was needed on the backs but they had told me that they don't do that anymore. I did have to call them several times to find out whether the chairs were done and I finally just went over to see if they were done which they were.
They do an excellent job of reglueing and I only wish they would make home visits so they could do my table.
"When my husband's office chair seat broke we called a number of furniture repair shops. Most were rather far form our home so I took the broken office chair seat to the

shop for repair because it was close to my home. When I arrived and Mr
Minneapolis Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
gave me a price of $110 to repair the seat I accepted that price because I was already there even though the price was twice what my husband had been quoted by another repair company . Mr.

told me that it was a small job and so he would fit it in between other larger jobs and so he could not tell me exactly when it would be done but said sometime within the next week or two. That was Wedesday, August 22. When two weeks past and I had not heard from him I called and was told that the work was not done and would not be done this week. I then said I would come and pick up the seat and have someone else do the work.
This is a job that should take less than one hour to complete. He had the piece for 15 days and did nothing more than take the cover off the seat and cut the strapping on the seat base. My husband had been without his office chair for over two weeks and now we need to take it somewhere else.

"My partner couldn't sleep at 2 am one night. He took his laptop into the TV room and

on the futon to while away his wakefullness. Suddenly, one end of the futon dropped him to the floor. Since he can't live for long without the futon, I took it over to

, because I had such great service from them previously. One of the guys came out and looked at it. His direct advise was that the frame was not worth fixing. It was cheaply made, had inconsistent glueing and might need more repair than was directly obvious. At a minimum cost of $300, I'd be spending around the same amount as for a new futon. I thanked him for his advise and bought a new futon. The old frame is now waiting to be used as firewood in the outdoor fire pit."
"After calling several places, I took my bed parts in to

for an estimate. He looked at what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. He warned me that they had a number of projects going, were a fairly small shop and that it would take a couple of weeks. That was just fine and I didn't really expect that an immediate fix if they were to do a good job anyway. They called me after a couple of weeks. Both pieces were noticeably stronger and in great condition.

also addressed a few scratches on the bed and tightened up the other legs on the table. I used to worry all the time about those legs breaking and my worries have nearly disappeared due to their work.

"The table and chairs looked great when they returned them but then we had problems after that. We just finally got the table back sometime in March. It had gone out in November and was sent back twice. In the end it turned out okay but nobody should have to be without a table that long and have to send it back twice. It was exhausting and an insane amount of time. They first forgot to put pads on the bottoms on the chairs and the oil finish they used wasn't dry enough so we got stains on an oriental rug from the legs of the chairs. The owner said to get the rug cleaned and he would pay for half of it. Fortunately, the stains did come out of the rug. Then a more long term issue came up. Anything we set on the table left scratches. We sent it back and said that we wanted polyurethane used on the table. They did it and it took two weeks. They didn't bring it the day they were supposed to because they said it wasn’t done, even though I had let them know that we had family coming and needed the table. When they brought it back the next day everyone noticed that there were spots that were missed and not finished. We called and sent it back again. They redid it and it took at least three weeks but it does look okay now. The price was okay but it was a hassle. We are not sure if we would use them again."
"We took the pieces of left-over material to Furniture Specialists and were delighted when

told us that, yes, he would be able to make four caps for us. I was concerned about the matching of the pattern, but was assured he would be able to do it. It took only one week for the work to be completed and we were extremely satisfied with the work.

did an outstanding job in using the odd pieces and then to match the pattern to the original caps. we've found a replacement to the person who had done all of our reupholstering over many years - Furniture Specialists are wonderful!!
"This was an oak lamp table that had been in my father's family (so I have a strong sentimental attachment to it) and dated to the late 1800's; it still had the original stain and finish, and was badly in need of refinishing. The wood was very dry, and there was a large water stain. The owner was very thorough in explaining the process of stripping and reassured me it wouldn't damage the wood. He also helped me pick out the stain and type of finish for the table.

The project took longer than he estimated, but that wasn't an issue for me as I wasn't in a hurry. He wasn't able to completely remove the water stain, but with the new stain and finish it just gives the table "character". I was very pleased with the finished table - it looks like new (a new antique, that is)

seemed really great to work with over the phone initially. They were able to schedule my initial consultation in a couple days at a time that was convenient. They came to my home, diagnosed the problem and removed the lever from my recliner so they could order a new one. It took a couple weeks before I heard back from them, and they said that they'd found the part I needed, that they were able to get it, and they would call once they had it to schedule a time to install the new part. They called me a few times within a few days to let me know this fact. After a couple more weeks passed they called to let me know they had the part and wanted to schedule a time to install it. It was difficult to find a time that was convenient for me (my fault, not theirs) but we finally settled on a date a couple weeks out and set the appointment.

On the day that I thought was the appointment, I waited and no one came, and after the time frame they gave me expired I called to check, thinking I had made a scheduling error, which honestly I'm not sure was true but I'll give the benefit of the doubt to the company. They were helpful in that they were willing to keep the date that they had on file ( the following day) and were able to schedule me later so that I could make the appointment.

Once they came, everything went as planned, it was an easy install, they did a great job, and my recliner now works perfectly.

I dinged the report in two areas, so sorry guys, first for responsiveness was the couple weeks without information. It would have been nice to have had at least a phone call to let me know where we were at, and I found the multiple calls with the same message about having found the part and having it on order was confusing with so much lag time between the initial appointment, the calls, and the final call to install. Also because of the scheduling issue (my fault, I will admit) but a confirmation call from you the day (or two) before would have eliminated the issue on my part and also could potentially have saved you from showing up at my house and me not being there.

Secondly on the price. I was charged for two service calls plus parts. Again, I didn't ask so shame on me, but the charge for two service calls I thought was a little odd. I get that you came to my place twice and that makes to service calls, but most other professionals that I've worked with only charge one service call and that includes the time to initially come to the site, diagnose the problem, give a recommendation on how to repair it, and estimate cost. They usually then schedule the repair and bill only for the second call. In the end the bill was only $150, which seems a little steep considering what work you did, but overall I'm happy with the result and don't know that I could have gotten it any other way or for any less money.

The guy who came out to the house, I think

, was exceptional. Very professional, very easy to work with. He came dressed well, he was clean, and he worked cleanly. He was efficient and did a nice job. He was very careful. He called before the appointment to let me know he was on his way. I appreciate the work and would hire these guys again any day.
