"It started off well - I thought their price was fair and he showed up on time, but it went downhill from there. It took more than two weeks for them to start the job - even after we were very upfront about when the job needed to be completed. When they started the work they came over with a power washer to clean the fence but neglected to tell me that I should put something up to protect my garden areas - and they did nothing to avoid the damage that was done - I lost several plants because the sprayer tore them apart. The quality of work was okay - I could have done it better myself but didn't have the time which is why we hired it out. My mistake - that I won't make again."

"September 2008 - hired company to strip, seal and stain deck. They stripped and sealed in fall of 2008 and we were expecting the staining to be finished in Spring 2009. It is now Aug and staining is not done. Company does not return calls, keeps putting us off, will not commit to a day when they can complete the job. The actual person expected to do the job is subcontracted and is not in touch with the others at the company. Work will have to be re-done because of the length of time that has lapsed. Do not use this company. "

" 's has at least one regular painter(either a subcontractor or an employee). He relied on the painter for the estimate and most of the work, while handled the contract, billing, and general direction "remotely." We contacted late in the season(Sept.)for the work; the weather in that time frame was variable, and rain, and resulting moisture in the deck wood, interrupted the job progress. We also had to schedule the deck work around other hail damage repair work(siding, etc.). We thereby ran into the painter's previously scheduled vacation at one point. In the painter's absence, a substitute pair(not clear whether they were supplied through 's efforts or through the regular painter's efforts)tried to complete the job on a Saturday. The regular painter was quite thorough and exacting, and did an excellent job. Realistically, there was too much unstained deck/railing for the substitutes to complete from noon to dark on a Fall Saturday-they missed a few areas, and it rained again the next day. However, the regular painter did call us and return after that(in response to a call we'd made to ), and he did outstanding work in finishing off the missed areas."

"The experience was pretty good. It was a little pricey, but the work was very good. It lasted about two years. They were very professional and cleaned up after themselves very well. They did it quickly as well."

"I called to request an estimate on pressure washing and staining my deck. Heard back from within a day. They were able to fit the work in within about a week of the estimate. They did a terrific job and were very respectful of the garden surrounding the deck. also inquired about my old front door that needed refinishing. The estimate was great ($150) for sanding it down, staining and applying a few coats of poly. Looks like a completely different door!"

"Things went very well. He was very good at returning phone calls and performed the work in a timely fashion. We informed him we would be out of town and when we came back, the deck and railings were done. He had removed all of the many items on the deck (table, chairs, storage units) and put them back perfectly. While I am certainly satisfied with the work, the deck perhaps could have used one more coat of stain, though in fairness to I never contacted him to ask about having this done. But at the price he charged, I am certainly happy with the results! Other estimates were much, much higher."

"The work was performed and it is of high quality. He said several times that he isn't interested in small jobs and works mostly at large commercial installations. The return appointment was rescheduled several times and wasn't completed by the time I requested, but it was completed shortly after."

"The guy who gave the estimate seemed nice and knowledgeable. Once we decided to move forward with the project, we were required to pay half in advance. We were told that assuming the weather cooperated, our project would be started shortly after signing the papers. It took over a month before they got to us. We didn't like them sitting on our money without having done any work - and they weren't too nice about it. Finally the project was completed. We were told that our wood stairs would be cleaned and sealed and that they would be able to get out all of the mold in the wood. After the work was done, the stairs still had mold. When I called to find out what happened, they said that the sales guy told us inaccurate information. Evidently, we weren't told accurate information on a few things. They came back and redid the stairs and put another coat on our deck. The deck looked good last fall right after the project was completed. This year the deck turned gray and dried out."
