Minneapolis Animal Removal Services Reviews

"After hearing a scratching noise coming from my dryer vent, I was thrilled to find that Westside Pest Solutions offers service 7 days a week.
Minneapolis Animal Removal Services Provider Name Locked
answered my call right away, and correctly guessed that a chipmunk had found his way inside the dryer vent. He and his son arrived at my house within 2 hours of my call and took care of the problem promptly. Even better, they did it with outstanding professionalism, care, and good humor. I will definitely call them for my future pest control needs."
"I had been hearing sporadic and infrequent scratching noises in a small enclosed crawl space in an upstairs bedroom. I had contacted another company prior to contacting

. As the other company continued to try and discover an entry point of the critter in my roof, additional charges were continuing to be charged to me as they were having trouble locating the point of entry into my attic. This went on for almost three months.
I decided to contact

after reading reviews on the internet. When I contacted

, the technician mentioned that they had a special offer on Angie's List. After my joining fee, the amount I paid for the initial service special, was still less than

's service fee for the service I was purchasing. This made me confident I was getting a good deal; getting the service I wanted and joining Angie's list at the same time.
It took a few weeks of monitoring my home to find out what was entering my attic. The entry point was found, a bat door was installed to make certain if anything was in my roof, that it could exit, and the entry area in the

was properly sealed and other potential problem areas were sealed as well.
I am very pleased with the service I was provided.
"I called to set up a raccoon exorcism and the woman I spoke to was very friendly and answered all my questions fully. As I was trying to set up the service I mentioned I would be using the 10% off coupon they have posted here on Angies list, she stated they only offer that discount on the initial call fee (about $229) and not on any other work done. My neighbor used them and gave me a copy of his invoice for trapping a squirrel and the fees after the initial service are substantial (in his case an additional $700 to patch holes in the soffit, relocate the squirrel, etc).

Their coupon clearly states 10% off any services but they will not honor it so I went elsewhere.
"Bill spent a good 1/2 hour at our house looking at the spot and determining that they had just built a nest upon a permanent AC unit. He cleared away the nest, didn't chargeme a cent! I wouldn't hesitate to call Bill again if the situation arrises, highly recommend."

was the most responsive and quickest to come help us with our squirrel problem.
Minneapolis Animal Removal Services Provider Name Locked
did the work quick, was very friendly/knowledgeable about our issue (and even pointed out some structural problems with our roof that could eliminate our squirrel problem in the future), and got rid of our squirrels. They were the only company that offered a 6-month warranty on patched holes (so if the squirrels returned through those holes, they would come fix it for free within that 6-month period). They scheduled an appointment for the same day that I called, though they ended up not coming that night due to an issue at the house they were working at before (understandable), but called to let me know and reschedule for the next day. They came to remove the full cages within an hour or two of me calling, which was great. Overall, very professional and helpful, and one of the most economical choices as well. We would definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone."
"He returned my phone call 10 minutes after I called to leave a message...I called on Sunday! He showed up on time, in a neat uniform, and had the job done before another company even called me back. He located the nest of bees, sprayed the bees for about 15 minutes. He explained what to do about the nest now that there are no bees in it. He told me how to seal up the place where they are coming in, and even told me about a mouse problem I didn't know I had. He used a water-based spray and explained that it keeps the bees from becoming hostile, and keeps them from stinging him. He gave me great information about the bees. He guaranteed his work by saying that if the problem was not solved in one visit he would come back for free. He gave me an Angie's list a discount for paying with cash. I felt I really got a great deal..and great service. I will definitely use this service again if ever needed. Prompt, courteous, polite, friendly, neat, reasonable rates. What more could I ask for!"
"We found this company to be overpriced. The charge for assessing the situation was $200 and $69 for each squirrel caught. We expressed concern about how many squirrels we would be charged for, as there are many squirrels in our neighborhood. They told us trapping was the only way to remove the squirrels and that they could tell the difference between which squirrels were ours, and which belonged to the neighbor's house, and that we would not be charged for the neighbor squirrels. Without tagging each squirrel, there is no way they can be certain which squirrels were ours. Numerous websites on the subject explained that a female squirrel has an average litter of 2-4 babies. We were charged for a total of 6 squirrels, which is extremely unlikely, given that average litter is 2-4. Several websites also explained that removal of squirrels is ineffective, as new ones will move into the territory once others are gone. They also noted that baby squirrels should not be displaced from their mothers until they are fully weaned at about 12-14 weeks after birth. The company told us that the babies were big enough to survive on their own, but we questioned this because the babies were still nursing when the company trapped them.

Some days two traps were baited, other days only one trap was baited. The number of traps set and whether or not they had bait seemed random and seemed to change day to day.

We were also disappointed to find out that this was a national chain. We feel that they valued profit over customer service.

It should also be noted that the technician came once, 15 minutes before his appointment time, and left before my husband came home. We never saw him again and just received daily bills on our front door.

We found a broken window adjacent to where the siding was patched. Both my husband and I recall that the window was not broken before the service was performed.
"Bill was great. He assessed our situation (squirrel stuck in our boiler exhaust pipes) and then told us that he could charge us "a bunch of money" and remove the squirrel or we could save our money and remove the squirrel ourselves once it died (he showed us how to do that). We opted for the latter, but very much appreciated his expertise, candor, and help saving money! "
"First we had an estimate which was very reasonable - then the work was completed in a very timely manner - over a period of about 1 week
Minneapolis Animal Removal Services Provider Name Locked
came by almost every 2 days to check traps and remove rodents - then in the second week he spent another couple of days fixing squirrel-proof wire to potential rooftop entry points and sealing the foundation of the house with cement to prevent smaller rodents from getting in - he also took extra care to ensure that the dryer vent was properly screened to keep the critters out - great job! We should have paid more for what he did - we did give him a big tip!"
"This is the third time in 16 years we have used this company. Each time they seem to have done a good job, but clearly squirrels are persistent and difficult to keep out of an old home with wooden
Minneapolis Animal Removal Services Provider Name Locked
. My only complaint is the appearance of the repairs. There is nothing cosmetically pleasing about it, but they also don't claim to be carpenters or roofing experts. We will follow up with roofers to see what permanent changes can be made to prevent this problem. One snafu: the first repair (attempt) resulted in a squirrel still entering and was trapped INSIDE and made it's way from the attic to the foyer by the next morning. After a moment of shock, we allowed it to exit from the front door on it's own. They came back and trapped/monitored again at no additional charge which was handled very professionally and promptly."
