"I called and first asked the company if they serviced my area (since Angie's List indicated parts of Milwaukee). She told me they did. I explained that I lived in a condo and right" now my dryer vents inside the condo. I told her I was interested in having the dryer vented outside and I asked if that was something their company did and she said yes. I told her that I was looking to get an estimate and I also needed a write up to present to my condo board for approval. She then said that she would send someone over to take a look and we set up the appointment for about 1 1/2 weeks later. On the day of the appointment, which had a time slot of between 9-10 am, it was 10:15 and no one was at the condo yet. I called the company and she said that they didn't have me as a scheduled appointment. I had to explain my dryer situation from the beginning and she told me that they don't send someone to the house for something like that. She then asked me if I was sure I had the right company (I know what company I called because I had the phone number written down from the original call). She said that it isn't smart to vent a dry upwards and asked if I still wanted the write up to present to my board. I said yes and she put my on hold (I thought about hanging up because if she didn't want my business, she could have just told me that). She came back on the phone and gave me the quote of $490 and a couple days later I got the estimate and write up in the mail. If they didn't even come to look at my condo, how could this be correct and/or present this to my condo board for approval? Needless to say, I won't be using this company for the work.

"I have 2 dryers, one was making a terrible squeaking noise and the other had a switch that was temperamental. Instead of having to pay a service charge for an estimate, I wrote" to a few appliance repair businesses on Angie’s List. I explained the situation with both dryers in detail, and
was the only one to quickly respond. The others said that they won’t give an estimate via email and pretty much closed any further discussion on the topic.
& I spoke on the phone, he explained in detail what needed to be repaired, and then gave me a ballpark figure to have both the machines repaired. The estimate sounded very reasonable, and we set up an appointment.
arrived promptly, and went immediately to work. As soon as he had one of the dryers opened, he showed me in detail what needed to be repaired & replaced. He showed me where 2 wires had melted together (from a lint fire), and repaired the wires. He completed repairing the one dryer and went to work on the other dryer soon after. The day of the repairs were one of the hottest, and he surged right through the work like there was no heat. I had also inquired about vent cleaning, and both vents were cleaned out for only $20 each (unlike the other much higher priced companies), because he was already onsite to repair the dryers. Now that’s what I call a real deal! When it came to paying the bill,
explained step-by-step what he had done, and the total was lower than the ballpark figure. I didn’t have to pay for a service charge for an estimate, which was very important to me. I am not one to pay someone to find out how much something is going to cost. That’s too much of a catch 22 situation for me. I would highly recommend
for any appliance repair. He was very courteous, prompt, and professional. He left the areas clean & tidy, and took all refuse with him. He is a true professional who really knows his stuff!
’t hesitate to call
for having your appliance repaired, he is well worth the money.

Yes Jupiter. It depends on the severity of the situation, is the mold encapsulated in the insulation. If yes, than replace [insulation] it with new. Is it on the casing of the heater? If yes, clean it with a mold neutralizing metal cleaner. It's not a matter of finding something or someone to clean or address the existing mold. It's a matter of finding a contractor to rectify what is causing the mold grow. It's coming from excessive moisture in the air-handler unit. I can say with 100% surety you’re dealing with poor airflow and/or incorrect equipment sizing! Either issue will cause excessive icing of the evaporator coil, which leads to excessive condensate water in the system. The condensate will eventually overflow the drain pan leaving stagnant water in the air-handler housing, which leads to mold growth. I would not let any contractor do any kind of temporary repair, add any device like a UV light or air-cleaning product until the aforementioned is corrected. I talk a lot about this in my videos and on my website. It is the result of improper system design from unqualified contractors. There is a reason why some guys cost more than others, and this is one reason why!

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

There are varying opinions on the type of cleaning to have done on your air ducts.  My opinion is that it varies based on the type of duct work you have.  If you have solid material (typically metal) ducting you can have use a company that uses a brush to scrape the system clean.  If you have flexible plastic or foil ducts the solvent cleaners are generally a safer bet since the brushes often tear holes in the soft material and/or pull joints loose.  It really depends on what type on ducting you have.  You're ducts will collect all kinds of dirt, skin cells and allergens over time so if you see dicoloration around your vents it is probably time to get them checked and cleaned.

Also, don't stop at the duct work.  Don't forget your annual system check up by a licensed HVAC technician.  They'll make sure your system is running at peak performance, keeping it running efficiently and with as little impact as possible on your electric bill.  You can often save the cost of the annual tune up in the electricity cost saved.  If you have a natural gas system a bi-annual check and cleaning of the HVAC unit may be advisable to save electricity and gas.

if you have exhausted all of your choices I would call and put a complain in with the BBB then go to the DA and put a complain with them.  Then get a good lawyer and sue them for all you can get.

the answers in this on this page are all correct but you are using a bandaide to to cure the infection have a trust hvac tech open your system to see where the dust is coming from you more than likely have an impacted coil that need to acid wash to bring it back to oringinal anything left from the fire is still inbeded in that coil. just remember after that job to keep your filters clean change once a month in the summer and every two months in the winter.

Bought a prepaid coupon package for the washer-dryer tuneup and duct cleanout because the dryer stopped working mid-load on a weekend. The part needed and install wasn't included in the package price. but otherwise he returned my call quickly, found time in his schedule to do the work later the same day, and did an excellent job of repairing and tuning up and balancing the appliances for a better washing and drying experience.
Also cleaned out the dryer duct from the outside and I was amazed and how much lint came out, tons and tons and tons! He cleaned all that up with his portable shopvac.

I have a combination washer/dryer in a rental unit, this unit is ventless & condenses all water vapor from drying. I called and asked him if he had much experience with a unit like this & the error code I was having. He mentioned he would do some research & call me back if this is something he could work on.
I had him take a look at the unit, open it up to clear out lint clogging various areas. He also tested most components to verify they were working & in good condition. After completing the cleaning & tests, he ran the unit to ensure the problem didn't continue. This all took about 2 hours & resolved the problem (so far).
I would recommend him to someone else.

was great to deal with. He and his helper (sorry, I didn't get his name, I got the impression he was in training) were here when they said they would be, clean & polite. They asked me again to describe the problems with my washer & dryer and did their inspection. Then
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
told me what needed to be done and the price. He couldn't find anything wrong with the washing machine, so maybe I've just been overloading it. But he replaced the gas valve and heating coils on the dryer and cleaned the dryer vent. I think the dryer works better now than it has at any point in the last 12 years. And even though he said there was nothing to fix on the washer and he didn't charge me for the inspection, I swear it seems to be running better, too. I had a backlog of clothes to wash & dry, so I'm on my fifth load since yesterday and no problems with either machine. The dryer has a 1 year warranty on on the parts & service, and the guarantee on service extends to ANY other problems, only a parts charge if needed. Plus he recommended a schedule of vent cleaning to help keep things running well. They were here just over an hour, including inspection, repair and cleanup. I couldn't be happier with the results.

I purchased the $100 Large Appliance Maintenance package offered by Angie's List, thru
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
, 2 days after my dryer stopped working. Talk about good timing.
The service man from
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
was scheduled to come between 10 and Noon. He called around 11 and let me know he was on his way. My 5 year old Whirlpool Estate Dryer was not heating. I could hear that the igniter that fires up the heating element was not doing its job so the dryer would just tumble dry for hours when left on the auto settings.
I had spoken to the service tech when I set up the appointment the week before. I had given him the name, model, year, and all pertinent info regarding my dryer so he could locate parts if necessary.
The service tech arrived around 11:20 and essentially told me it was either the fuse or the heating element. If it was the fuse all would be covered. If it was the heating element it would cost me a few hundred for the element, the labor was covered under the maintenance package I purchased. It took all of 10 minutes to determine that it was the fuse which was easily replaced and another 2 minutes before I heard the heating element firing up.
The service tech said while he was here he might as well clean the dryer hose out as well so he did that for me as well. He was done by noon.
All in all this was a good experience for me. The service tech was not only very professional but very personable as well. He offered me a handful of tips to help keep my washer and dryer running properly.
I have full intention of calling
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
the next time one of my appliances needs service and I also recommend them,

I had responded to the Angie's List $99 special for dryer vent cleaning offered by
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
. When I called I spoke to
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
who was apparently in a customer's laundry room or kitchen at the time servicing her appliance. He asked her for permission to speak with me.
When I described what services I was requesting, he asked what the brands and model numbers of my washer and dryer were so he could come on my service call prepared with the correct parts.
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
was very professional in all the service work. I was impressed with his knowledge of appliances, his no nonsense approach to getting the work done, and willingness without a pause to get on the dusty floor beneath my laundry tub to level the dryer.
He was very courteous and answered my questions while he was working. He only paused to answer his phone a couple times. One call was from another new customer (my payback for interrupting him when I called).
I give
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
an A rating.

The techs disconnected the phone and internet connection and I had to call Time
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
to discover the issue which took over an hour. Further each room had a distinct dust smell. The carbon monoxide protector somehow had the blind strings wrapped around the outlet and parts were on the floor. The dryer is no longer balanced.
I called the company and
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
came out that same day. He stated that the dust smell was coming from outside. He stated that his two techs had noted that also although no mention was made of it to me. My neighbors do use a fireplace pit in the evening and do burn wood but had not done so that day or on the three previous days. Friends who came over that day could not smell anything from the outside but did smell something like dust.
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
suggested that I open the windows and place the furnance fan on high. He did replace the carbon monoxide protector.
The next day the odor was still there.
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
again came to the house with a new air filter and a charcoal filter that was supposed to take away the odor. Gradually the smell dissipated.
I must admit that
Milwaukee Dryer Duct Services Provider Name Locked
was great in addressing the smell odor and replacing the carbon monoxide protector. However there were issues with the service performed.
