"The rehab side was a B or C because of lack of assistance for the patient. The workers are under trained or do not appear to want to help the patients. My mom" hated it. The observations by her were that they were not very sanitary did not want to help patients that needed them the most. The food is not good and many times they run out or you do not get what you order. The dining area is utter chaos and does not run smoothly. This side is poorly managed. My mom got good therapy from . She liked him and he helped her. I would not recommend this rehab section of southern hills. She moved into the assisted living side reluctantly but is very happy with it. the director is fantastic and she gets more care and attention and the employees are much much better. They care about the patients and everyone is friendly and appears to love the people they are taking of. This part of is excellent. The only thing they need to improve on is food quality and variety. The food is better than skilled living side and the dining room is organized and runs smoothly. This side really is an A. Mom is needing lots of personal care and they are meeting her needs and doing a great job.

"When my brother contacted the company, he was already in a licensed state facility. When my brother spoke with , they told him that they" could take him to his appointments. Once he got moved into the home the first time he got sick they told him he would have to wait until someone could take him, and made him wait in his room. He eventually just called a taxi to take him to his appointment. They told him that they provided great services, when in all reality they did not. He recently got sick, and got sent to the hospital, They did not call us to inform us of what happened. when my called Angels to ask if his father was okay, They then told him that he had been sent to the hospital a week ago. They did not know what hospital he was sent to so he had to call around to find his father. After finding his father, he found out his father had passed away the day he was sent to the hospital. Angels did not contact anyone in the family what so ever. Be careful about sending a loved on to this group, because of the moral and ethical treatment this company lacks.

The staff are wonderful- friendly, compassionate, and they really care about the residents. Nice amenities, active Activities Programming. Very grateful that we found . I recommend 100%.

I think they're pretty good. There's room for improvement, but they're pretty good. The staff seems concerned about the residents and want to take good care of them. The place is kept quite clean. I think they're a little too over regulating with people who still have a good amount of mental capacity. They're a little too protective ...More of them. They're punctual about meals and medications and treatments. All the encounters we've had with staff has been fine and my mother in law gets along with them. She's friends with them all.

It was perfect. My mother was in the health care center at her retirement home. I had just been out to visit her and after returning home to California it became apparent she had to move. and his crew went into my mother's apartment and speaking on the phone, he could describe something and I could tell him if it was someting ...More we would keep. He also looked at her new living space so he knew what the limits were. They completely set up her new living quarters, including clothes, etc. Some things I indicated could be donated to Goodwill; other things I would have to go through myself. kindly got me a storage unit and moved these things in there. My mother's mental state at this point was such that she could not make these decisions. And while going through my mother's things they found a large sum of money which they turnred over to me. I never could have accomplished this without and and I am extremely grateful to them. When I tell people that I moved my mother in Ohio into a new living space long distance from my home in California they can't believe it.

I WAS REFERRED TO BY SEVERAL FACILITIES SAYING THEY COULD ASSIST IN FINDING A SNF WITH A LTB AVAIL THAT PROVIDED DIALYSIS. THEY DO NOT DO THAT. I'M NOT QUITE TOO SURE WHAT THEIR CAPABILITIES ARE. IF THEY CANNOT HELP FIND A SKILLED NURSING FACILITY (SNF) THAT PROVIDES DIALYSIS FOR A PATIENT IN NEED OF A LONG TERM BED.
...More /> GAVE THEM SEVERAL CHANCES TO ASSIST IN A , THEY COULD NOT HELP IN ANY OF THE CALLS.

The only problem I have with them is that I feel harassed. I communicated very succinctly that our plans changed through no fault of my own and I would let them know when we would be using an assisted facility. Hopefully this review will help.

Not being familiar with the area or with how hospice homes worked in the area (it's different in NY) it was very stressful trying to decide how we would take care of dad in his final weeks. We had great assistance from Hospice of the Valley who provided us the names of different homes in the area. My brother and I visited ...More several of them, but none seemed quite right for many different reasons. Then, we heard about a home that was just opening it's doors for clients, and that was in . We met with the owners, and , who are an extremely caring and compassionate couple. While we had some reluctance about being the first customers, our fears were quickly put aside when we witnessed how careful they were to follow the state's procedures and how quickly they responded to a couple of concerns I voiced about the ability of his wheelchair to navigate certain areas. Within, a few days, the building was remodeled to accommodate the wheelchair!!
and treated my dad like he was their own father and no higher compliment than that can be said! offered to stay with us during the long overnight as my dad was preparing to leave this world and we welcomed her. We will be forever grateful for all they did for my dad and for their honest and upfront manner when dealing with the "business" side of the relationship.
We were very pleased and very satisfied with our decision and would highly, highly recommend them!

Eventually we decided on Holland Home in South holland, IL. It was the last place we visited because I was concerned about religious affiliations. It was great, and lives there now full time.

I was given a list of a few facilities that met my needs, and there was followup to see if I'd visited, and my impressions of each. However, after moved up here, we had a serious problem with her housing, and I'm looking for a new place, this time with memory care. I was given the same list I'd been given in January.
