"I've used 
in three instances, and have been impressed with all three. Their used appliances are clean and affordable, and usually work as expected. Their delivery service has been affordable and reliable. I purchased a washer and dryer from them that did have some malfunctions that required warranty work, but I remain impressed with their service. My dryer only seemed to malfunction when their repairman wasn't around looking at it (we couldn't duplicate the problem in their presence), so I ended up exchanging it using their satisfaction guarantee. They were patient and friendly in all my dealings with them, and I'll use them again if I need appliances."

"The arrived as scheduled, was properly installed and....didn't work (the burners worked, the oven did not). A new was scheduled to be delivered. I warned that during the week, there was no full morning or afternoon I could stay home. I was assured that the delivery could take place during a 2-3 hour window. Of course, it could not be when the day came, so delivery had to be delayed, and then I had to get a housesitter to be there when the delivery could be made (some 2 weeks after the first delivery). The was delivered and not properly installed under the anti-tip device, but rather jammed in so that it stuck out 2" from the front of the counter. I cannot budge it at all - not even jiggle it. So I guess it won't tip, but because the is in the corner of the kitchen, it's sticking out two inches means I cannot open a drawer or a cabinet. I have called to have this fixed, said how I'd like to have it fixed on a follow up phone call from , but now it's been over 6 months and I'm going to hire a handyman to come and install the properly so that I can have access to my whole entire kitchen. Extremely frustrating. As a landlord, I've purchased 3 refrigerators, a and oven, and two washer and dryer sets, a riding mower, and had a house resided by in the past 10 years. Because of delivery issues on both this and the riding mower, I will not go back to them EVER."

"I like the variety of appliances that they have and the sales that they offer. We paid $50 for this company do install these appliances. They also delivered them. They did not plug the dryer in. They got the hoses for the washer mixed up. I had to have someone check the venting and everything else because they did not do their job. They did refund the $50. I don't know why big stores like these hire people like this to work for them. I will get my own movers and installers next time."

"After the technician removed the existing dishwasher, it was determined that the first dishwasher purchased did not fit into the space vacated by the existing dishwasher. Thus, we had to select another model. This we did the same day with the help of the salesman & the technician (who were very helpful) to make sure it would fit. The delivery & installation was to be done by the company who had bought out . Then the problems started. The appliance selected was not in stock and had to be ordered. We were told that it would take two weeks, which we agreed to. It took 27 days for it to come in. Then when it did come in we were notified by postcard (instead of a telephone call) that it was now in and we should call them to set up delivery and installation. We did this and it was delivered three days later. When it was delivered they just set it down and said the technician to install it would follow. He never showed up and we had to call again and set up an installation time. When we did this we were told that they were busy and could not come for another ten days. Even though we had been waiting for over five weeks by this time (with a big hole in our kitchen cabinet) they refused to adjust their schedule. It took 48 days to get it almost installed. We still had to call a plumber because the connection was not the same as the previous one."

"On installation, we found the door was misaligned and the oven itself damaged. A web (http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/appl/msg031314362784.html) found that this was a known problem for Dacor and necessitated a replacement of the entire oven. The entire story is very lengthy, but we found unresponsive and not helpful in resolving this. After numerous phone calls requiring us to repeatedly press for resolution, they put us in direct contact with a Dacor representative, where the problem was quickly and appropriately resolved with the delivery of a new oven. Our opinion of , unfortunately, is that they were very willing to sell us the appliances, but not so willing to resolve a problem once it was discovered. This was very disappointing, given the cost of these high end appliances."

"This is my third major appliance transaction with . They are courteous, have excellent product knowledge, and meet or beat the price on the appliance model you choose. delivered and installed our new dishwasher within a week of the sale. I wouldn't consider anyone else."

"Overall excellent experience. My wife and I went to American looking for a new during their 1/2 markup employee discount week. We were immediately approached to be helped. The sales representative was very helpful is showing us gas and electric stoves. The sales representative was knowledgeable about the different brands and differences between them. We ended up purchasing a gas later that week that was recommended by the sales representative (recommended in consumer reports as well). The price we got for the was a couple hundred dollars cheaper then what I priced at other stores online. The delivery was done the following Saturday and the delivery men actually hooked up the and took out the old one. Another store charged extra to have them hook it up outside of their normal delivery charge. Not a hard task to do, but was nice that they did it and verified that there were no gas leaks."

"The light switches on wall next to the refrigerator are obstructed. It's a tight squeeze for kitchen switch (and impossible with an elbow). The switch just past that can't be used at all. That's the switch for the enclosed breezeway, on other side of back hall. So after dark, my wife uses the light from the back hall (leaving the door open), resulting in an exodus of either heated or cooled air into the breezeway. Also, didn't level refrigerator properly, & door doesn't always close by itself. And the freezer door sticks out a little farther than the refrigerator door below it, due to a thicker gasket. claims that with use, the gasket will wear thinner, so door will close more. Even IF that happens, it would happen even more so with the refrigerator door, resulting in even more disparity. Also, the freezer door often pops open when we close the refrigerator. And the plastic bolt-head-protectors were left off the back (I found them on floor)."
