Hvac reviews in Miami

I contacted the provider via Angie's List to have an estimate done. They responded to me the next day and also called me. We scheduled for them to come out a few days later to do the estimate because they had no openings.
The sales guy came out to my house and was actually pretty rude and I found him to be rather unprofessional. He commented about my thermostat and how it's a "pain in the a**" (his words) and that I should've bought one from him instead. He then told me that they will have to move my air handler to another area because my closet is too small to house what they sell. Easy fix, though, he said. Just cutting some holes and blocking where the old unit was. Doesn't sound that easy to me because they could just put in another 2.5 ton 16 seer unit and call it a day.
My house is 1225sqft and I have a 12 year old 10 seer Rheem currently. Anything with higher efficiency than I currently have will still be a major improvement.
Then we discussed replacing my air ducts. They don't necessarily need replaced OR rerouted. A good scrub ought to do it and maybe some extra filtration.
On to the condenser. It's on a slab that's not level, but after 35 years, concrete with weigh on it tends to settle. He mentioned pouring a new slab but I don't really think that's necessary.
Overall, this supposedly is an easy job. It will only take 4 days' worth of work. FOUR DAYS! While I do appreciate that they'll pull permits, it's just an added cost especially since I could just have a lateral replacement and not even have to sweat the permit part.
The salesman will draft a quote and I should hear back from him in 5 days. That's a long time! We didn't talk any hard numbers but he mentioned a 21 SEER Trane unit costing 7000+. I'm interested in seeing what his quote looks like, but for now, I'm not terribly impressed.
A major

in sales is to not insult your potential customer. The thermostat is one thing, but insulting my choice of car while talking his up is a bit uncalled for. But hey, at least the guy showed up on time.

For starters, my AC unit is 12 years old and we don't have any records of any prior maintenance. To put it bluntly, the AC is in rough shape and I made it known before any work was started. The tech who came out showed up at 9am and got down to brass tax. I had advised that we had the evaporator coils cleaned about 4 months ago and he asked to see the invoice. I handed it to him and he showed that the other company had replaced freon.
He then said that he needed to check for leaks and that it would cost a fee of $100+. I told him OK and he busted out his leak checking equipment. Finding no leaks on the inside, he checked outside. He found 2 spots with leaks, but the copper is ridiculously corroded. He said that he could try to fix the leak, but advised that it could possibly cause more harm than good. I requested that he just add more freon so that we can try to go a few more months before having to replace it. He put a lb of freon in and was on his way.
I'll be contacting these guys again to get an estimate for an all-new AC system because they are honest and didn't try to railroad me.

It took them less than 5 minutes to identify the issue. Seemed that water piping was clogged so they clean it and inserted some tablets to clean the water piping further. A reasonably priced company. Great work.

One of our two AC units began to leak water onto the floor the evening before we were scheduled to leave town for a week. We turned off the unit and left on our trip. We returned on a Monday night in August to a very warm house. We found

on the Angie's List website and called them at about 8:00 the next morning. They scheduled a service call for 9:00 am to 1:00 pm the same day. The technician (

He also performed a maintenance check on the other unit and replaced a weak capacitor. We are very pleased with the service we received from

the owner stated the motor and blade was broken. He came to fix the air conditioner. Quote a price of 475 dollars. Put in a bad motor and wanted to charge me another 275 for labor again after 2nd visit in which he still did not fix problem. He then stated he could not return again even if problem persist. The air conditioner still did not work after 15 minutes after he left. And I got a second opinion which stated he put in a bad motor. When asked to guarantee his work. Buyer beware. Never give this person a check. Even when he states and agrees that services were not render. He uses new technology and cashes the check via mobile, then he returns the checks to you as if never cashed. Can you believe they can do this now. A crook in my opinion. But it gets worse. His daughter

office manager states they are a honest company once I threaten to

and told me just to pay for the equipment since the Services were not completed. She and the Owner stated I needed a new ac. Convince me to get a new air conditioner and they would give me a full refund for the services not completed. I got a second opinion and they told me they installed a bad motor. Regardless , I still gave them a

to rectify the problem , I asked for a quote to replace the ac , again they gave me wrong information. First, they stated ", we have a 0 percent fianc? for 24 months,"not true. second, "we have 3 other companies that finance but at a percentage rate."Do you see how they keep trying to scam you.. Even worst, once I decided to pay cash instead 50% upfront and the rest at 14 days after completion and everything working. They refused to do the installation as they cannot guarantee once install how long it would take to fix except you will be on a list like everyone else. This the bottom line. They will come and charge you, do a inadequate job, they do not stand by their. job, and once they cash the check they refuse to do any follow up and finish the job. Buyer be aware they are not trustworthy.

AC compressor stopped working Saturday evening. Went on Angie's list to look for a good HVAC contractor that could come over on Sunday. Chose A-

because of the great reviews.
Contractor came over Sunday morning, immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Turns out the capacitor had blown/short-circuited. Was immediately replaced with a new one. Cost would have been less if we waited until Monday but we couldn't wait that long. Also got a 10% discount!
All in all, service was excellent and would definitely recommend.

We called to make an appointment for a leaky condensation drainage pipe in our system. They said they'd come out the next day mid-morning and that they'd call 30 minutes before they arrived. Since we didn't hear from them, we had to call them 3 times and was continually told that they would be over 'soon'. They weren't polite and never offered an apology once. Just as we were going to call another company at 3pm they called to say they'd be over.
They charged $85 (despite having an Angie's List coupon for $49 that they could have offered us since we didn't see it until later because they were hours late) to show up and extra to unclog the pipe. He spent about $15 minutes there and charged us over $100. Easy money for him. Avoid this company and go with someone more reliable with basic courtesy.

Zumel found out my thermostat from X-finity that was installed about a year ago was not connected correctly it was not going to the second stage when he fix the problem we could feel the difference immediately, so much care and attention for $65 the guy stayed for nearly 2 hours , I wanted to pay them more "really" I did .. great people.
I highly recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them in the future as I am a property manger.

Of course our air conditioning went out on Friday. After going through Angie's List, I noted not many were available on Saturday. I called

A/C to schedule an appointment for Monday... He asked what the problem was, I told him. He said he could come out that day (SATURDAY)! When he arrived, he diagnosed our problem, fixed it and it did not cost "an arm and a leg".
He was very pleasant to talk to, very professional, and I would highly recommend him to our friends.

First Wil came to my house to give an estimate on repairing or replacing my old unit. He recommended a new unit and said it could be installed the same day, and it was. The two installers worked for 7 hours removing and replacing my air conditioning unit. They were very professional and cleaned up any mess that was made.I would definitely use them again.
