"I had never contacted this company before. I called them at 9:45 am and 2 hours later there was a tech at my door. 30 minutes later the issues was fixed and my air conditioner was working. It was such a relief to have found such a reliable and responsive ...more company. I have saved their number on my phone "

"The AC was fine, I had no complaints to begin with. I normally do the back flushing and some clean myself but it needed expert tune up from a professional. Basically I was expecting preventive service and maintenance.
I was left wondering if services ...more listed in the "deal" were actually performed. I tried to go through the list with the service people and check off the items but they just told me it was not necessary since they could see and hear the AC was fine and only needed more refrigerant which they provided and charged by the pound. They did align and secured the PVC lines in the airhandler since they appeared to be humid. They blew compressed air/gas through the PVC drain pipe. They also flushed the outside unit with the water hose through the vents.
I would have liked them to provide me with the list of services and demonstrated performing each service. Maybe I expected too much but I think next time I will use another company just to compare the services. The AC cooling has improved with the additional refrigerant.
I do not think it is fair to share this with the public but please share it with the provider. He needs to does everything that is listed in the advertisement and is able to explain it to the client when asked. That was not clear to me even when I read the advertise deal to him item by item. "

Miami HVAC Contractors Reviews
"We purchased a new house and knew our air conditioning would need replacing or fixing, but we weren't sure which. I got the information for Capital from Angieslist, from their high rating and gave them a call.
First of all I was not expecting them to come same day, so when they offered a 2 hour time window yesterday afternoon we were very ...more happy. We were told we would also have a 30 minute warning someone was on their way. An excellent practice in my opinion, giving everyone fair warning to get where they need to be. I had a phone call when an appointment finished early, and was offered an earlier time, again very pleased.
As half expected, our unit was OLD and needed replacing. The old owners were cheap and it was so poorly maintained, it never had a

. We were given a quote and told to call the office to schedule an appointment to have it installed and discuss what other more efficient options might be available.
I called the office and spoke to
, the owner of the business. To say I was impressed is an understatement. He did not try to up sell, in fact he told me not to pick the higher seer unit as it would absolutely not make it's money back given the house size and the extra cost, for how long it would last. He explained everything to me, how long it would take, the brand, the potential saving and he even gave me warning over thieves who steal them for the copper and to be careful with replacing it if we weren't going to be around. He could not have been nicer, more helpful or less pushy. This was at 4pm. He told me he would have someone there the next morning at 9am to do the install if we wanted or to discuss and call him back. We didn't want to wait and the price was great so we said yes.
The 3 techs showed up at 9am this morning with all their equipment and the new unit. They were so incredibly nice and thoughtful, organizing an emergency permit (as we had an inspector coming) with their office. The guys weren't phased or concerned and said they would work around the inspector and what he wanted.
After getting the permit sorted out they started to work. They worked quickly (we didn't get in their way, or keep badgering them) and got the job done at 5pm. They left us absolutely zero mess. They coordinated for me to pay over the phone and my husband to sign the invoice, as we were in different places.
The office took payment and gave me my authorization number, and my FPL account number to apply the $600 rebate (which was instant).
I couldn't be happier. It took 24 hours from the service tech to check the system for the new unit to be installed. We are 100% satisfied we got a great deal with little
up and the guys who came couldn't have been nicer.
has some great people working for him. Overall it was one of the more pleasant experiences we have had dealing with our new house.
for help with an A/C in one of our rental properties (condo, downtown Miami). Our tenant had reported that it was leaking water and blowing warm air. A clogged line is an almost yearly occurrence with the smaller A/C unit (two A/Cs; two zones) due to the set-up of the condensate drain line and therefore I was ...more very specific regarding the scope of work.
This was the first time for us working with
and I summarized my call with
in an email to make sure we had a mutual
understanding (at my request,
confirmed the receipt of the email).
1. Clean drain line of the smaller A/C unit
2. Report back / ask for approval for any additional work, issue, etc. (I provided my contact information)
3. Provide insurance information to the
contact information in my email)
4. Provide an itemized invoice for payment
assured me that this service would cost me less than $150!
On 6/18 the technician arrived slightly late (promised for the AMs, arrived in the PMs) and went to work. About two hours later I received a call from my tenant telling me that he was asked by the technician to sign off on a work order for $430 which included:
1. Cleaning one drain line
2. Adding 4 pounds of Freon
3. Rewiring of Thermostat
I immediately talked to the technician on the phone about the details of this work and his answers were sketchy at best:
1. He did not submit insurance information to the
2. 4 lbs of Freon were added to a 2 ton AC unit (Trane), which happens to be almost the maximum amount for this system and indicates that there has to be a significant leak. The technician never mentioned such a leak. Note, that there are no additional supply lines to be filled as this is a chilled water system.
3. The justification for rewiring of the thermostat for the second, larger A/C unit is particularly interesting since:
A). No new cables were pulled.
B). A ‘short’ in the cable inside the air handler was mentioned, however, upon closer inspection no damaged or new cables were found
C). As I had to find out through my tenant, the technician indicated that the charge would be $280 for this work, which feels very high for trouble-shooting a terminal board with five wires that connects to a thermostat less than six feet from the A/C.
All concerns about the quality and necessity of the repairs aside, my biggest issue at this time was that neither the technician nor the office considered it to be necessary to call me for approval as agreed (email!).
On my immediate call to
’s customer service department, I was told that our tenant had approved all work. This is absolutely irrelevant since we had an up-front agreement that I, as the owner of the condo and buyer of their services, will approve all additional work. Our tenants are not authorized and I had specifically asked to be informed about any additional work. Also, my tenant denies having given
any approval to start this work.
However, I told the customer service rep that I would be more than happy to pay for all the work (I also mentioned this to the technician) as soon as I could get an itemized invoice from
(this was our up-front agreement). That’s when things turned really ugly, and I was pushed to provide credit card information immediately. I refused to provide this information and again, mentioned that I would pay for all reasonable charges as soon as I get an itemized invoice. When I mentioned that
had confirmed our agreement in writing, the
of the conversation changed slightly and I was offered a free service call and was repeatedly told how inexpensive the service was. However, we are running a rental business and I insist on invoices. Now, the customer rep upped the pressure by telling me that the technician would be ordered to reverse all work if I did not pay immediately. I refused, referred to the agreement and was told that
would call me back.
At this time I called the technician and confirmed that I had been talking to his office and that I was waiting for a call from
to settle the issue. As soon as I finished my discussion with him he received a call from his office, he rushed to the A/C room (my tenant was on the phone with me and told me what was happening) and started to remove the service panels from the A/C, he then pulled cables from the A/C control boards, thereby rendering the A/C inoperable. My tenant asked him several times not to cause any damage and that he would call building security if he did not stop. (I overheard this, still being on the phone). However, the technician then ripped the thermostat off the wall and left the condo unit with my property. I was left with cables hanging from the A/C, open service panels, the thermostat missing, a frustrated and intimidated tenant and a copy of a
work order document with a
After inspecting the damage the next day we also discovered that the ‘rewiring’ was partly incorrect and the condensate drain line not capped and sealed (negative pressure system). Btw, the A/C is equipped with an overflow sensor, but apparently the technician never inquired as to why the sensor did not trigger and the drain
Aside from the questionable quality of their work,
is a company that is so malicious that they do not hesitate to resort to potentially criminal tactics, such as damaging and/or taking personal property, to get ‘even’ with customers (even at the slightest perception of being wronged). Applying just a little bit of
, common business sense, it becomes clear that time & materials can be pretty much considered ‘sunk’ cost at the completion of this work and the only way to recover it is through payment from the customer.
However, even though
was assured plenty of times that payment would be made (even my tenant assured the technician that payment would not be a problem), they followed their vindictive instinct, refused to document their work and rather:
1. Resorted to destructive, criminal tactics and literally stole my property to cause harm
2. Eliminated any
of getting paid and recovering their cost
3. Lost a potential customer (we have been looking for a reliable, future business partner)
4. Forced me to write this review that will, hopefully, make potential customers think twice about engaging in a business relationship with this company
! This appears to be a case of very short-sighted, vindictive business decision making and customer service gone extremely wrong. Unfortunately, this is exactly the type of conduct that gives this industry such a negative reputation. Btw, I am still waiting for a call from

"We noticed the A/C was not cooling properly and was also leaking again! My usual A/C person had come and changed the fan and mentioned that we needed a new unit because this one was already 10 years!
I decided to get a second opinion before going with his advice so through Angie’s List and after reading so many positive reviews I called
...more . It was already 4:00PM on a Friday afternoon,
answered my call, and she was so kind and positive about sending someone even though it was late, that I was already impressed! About half an hour later the technician,
, arrived at my house, looked at the A/C Unit that was installed in the garage. The working space was reduced an uncomfortable. He determined what the problem was and explained it to me. He said that the unit probably could give me another two or three years if it was cleaned properly, but he would have to disassemble it completely before he knew that for sure, and in the process he could find another problem, that could entail changing the unit completely, which would imply more costs. I was willing to take the
! The problem apparently was a rusty tray where algae was accumulating and that could be fixed by cleaning the base, the coils and the entire unit. He called Mr.
explained the situation, and gave an estimate of what the job would cost, and he was willing to come on Saturday without charging over time to fix it!
sated the job would probably take four hours. On Saturday he was working promptly at 8:00 AM and he disassembled the whole unit and washed it outside with the hose, chlorine, and a brush, until it looked as new! He cleaned as well the place where the unit was installed because the leakage had created mold on the walls. He blew the drain to make sure there was no blockage there. He worked non-stop for 8 hours!
took this job with such a pride and effort, as it was unique and none could have done it better! My husband I were so impressed with his professionalism, knowledge, respect and punctuality that we determined that no one else but him would open that A/C ever again!
Thank You A-
for making a nightmare a wonderful dream!!
The Job was beautifully done! The price was great! We have our A/C Unit for another few years, and we saved $$ for the unit that when needed
I will definitely recommend this company to everyone that has Air Conditioning!! "
"Early on a hot Saturday morning I called this company because my a/c unit had stop functioning. I spoke to
, who told me to try to reset my breakers and if that didn't work to call him back so that he could send someone out. His technician, Symbian came and after installing new fuses determined that I needed a ...more new compressor. In turn, the technician, called to inform him of what was needed and to inform him that my grandchildren were residing in the house.
did empathize with our situation and offered to attempt to get the compressor for installation on that Sunday so we did not have to suffer until Monday.
He was unable to get the compressor because the company was not open on Saturday.
The next morning I received a call from the technician expressing concern as to how did we fared through the hot night. He stated that he would come that afternoon (Sunday) to remove the damaged compressor so that early Monday morning he could get the replacement and install it. And he did, despite the rain.
Courteous, concerned, professional , reasonable, and reliable are some of the words to describe this company. "
and his team are the best in my book. They are responsive to my calls, come as scheduled or call if they are held up and are very professional. I usually call them twice a year for regular maintenance and to avoid problems during the hottest days of summer and to keep my units functioning the best they can.
the receptionist was extremely professional and very accommodating. The technician was punctual and very considerate. This company in my opinion and based on my experience with them, very knowledgeable honest and trustworthy. I will absolutely use them in the future.
