Miami Carpet Installers Reviews

"A sales representative visited our home we are remodelling. The representative was courteous and nice. He brought many samples, and measured the rooms. Provided a very high quote and then gave us a "significant discount" to make the sale sound better. After negotiating, we agreed to a price, deposit, and an installation date.
The deposit for the carpet was $100. I confirmed it several times with the sales person because I didn't have the Home Improvement check book with me. He confirmed the $100 deposit and wrote it on the contract and the receipt. Since the amount was small, I used my personal bank account debit card for the deposit. This was Saturday afternoon.
The following Tuesday I began receiving NSF notices from my bank. I investigate the problem and was flabbergasted to find that Empire had charged my debit card far far more than the $100 deposit that was agreed to! I immediately called the company and was directed to their headquarters - in Chicago Illinois. I spoke to several people. They denied the problem existed and practically called me a liar. I had to provide them proof (copy of my bank statement) that they charged me more than the $100 agreed too. After they "verified" my proof, they apologized for the "clerical error" and said they would attend to it immediately.
I monitored my bank account for twenty-four hours and had not received the refund. Thursday morning I contacted Empire and they were not helpful. My "situation" was still be "investigated". We had several heated discussions and I was actually told "You owe us the money anyway I don't understand the problem". Note that Empire hasn't delivered or installed anything yet. After more heated exchanges they agreed to refund the difference - which I thought they agreed to do Tuesday. I didn't receive the refund until Friday night. Empire had kept my money, illegally, for six days.
My wife and I discussed it and we agreed that we could no longer trust Empire-Today so we cancelled our order. They promised to refund our deposit and the NSF charges caused by them (only after I proved to them that they caused the NSF charges). We are still waiting for that refund. I doubt we will ever see it.
I would highly discourage anyone from dealing with Empire-Today.

was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He showed up on time and came prepared with samples. I picked the color of the carpet and tile from the samples he brought. There was no need to meet with him in a showroom which I greatly appreciated because I had been to a number of showrooms before I met with him and he had exactly what worked for the apartment I was renovating.
He emailed me the proposal the next day, I gave him the deposit and the work started and was completed as promised. He was available on the phone through the entire process and addressed all of my concerns. At no point did he ever get annoyed or try to convince me that what I wanted was not right or unnecessary. Having dealt with many providers/tradesman over the last 30 years in Miami I was really surprised with how smoothly the whole process went. I am very pleased with

"Fast to respond. Pricing was better than Dolphin Carpet, decent price.

Tile price was higher than DoIphin Carpet, but maybe Pride quality was better. Hard to tell especially not being a tile expert.

Installation went smooth. Overall good experience. Would use them again.

"I moved into a new house with carpet on the second floor. All rooms had some bubbling, some worse than others. He did a great job, seams are almost invisible now, where they were visible before. Looked like I installed brand new carpet."

"Both people in the store were very helpful. Not knowing much about carpeting, I told them what I was looking for and asked for a recommendation. I was directed to a carpet that met my criteria. I didn't have to think about it, other than color selection. I was limited in what I could spend and was shown a carpet that seemed to be of better quality than what I had seen elsewhere. The price was very reasonable and included a good quality padding plus installation. They showed up as scheduled to take room measurements, the carpet arrived in the store about a week later and installation was scheduled 2 business days later. The Installers were professional, did an excellent job and cleaned up after themselves. I received a follow up call from the store that same day to make sure I was happy. Everything went as planned . It was a pleasure doing business with them. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others."

"When I went to the office (which I had difficulty finding because they had moved and the new address wasn't the one listed with Angie's list) I explained what I needed and was shown several options, all of which had color choices that matched what I wanted. The owner came within a week to measure and in two days I had an estimate. About 2 weeks later, the capet was installed -- the installer were on time, cleaned up after themselves, hauled away the old carpet and were extremely good. A follow up phone call from the office was received a couple of days after the installation asking if it had met my needs. I did need more information on the carpet because one of the requirements is a dry cleaning every 18 months to preserve the warranty and I wasn't sure about spot treatments."

"It was a very very nice experience. The gentleman I met with,
Miami Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
(the owner I believe), understood what I was trying to achieve. I'm preparing my home to sell and he was very supportive in assisting me appropriately in my carpet selection. He was a delight to do business with. The installers were incredibly knowledgeable. They had a lot of heavy furniture to move during the process and they handled everything in a positive fashion."

"The quote that we got was fair and the job that was done is exceptional. Other than the delay on the arrival of my carpet, the whole experience was a good one. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have carpet installed."

"Their installers are permanent employees, not subs.

arrived on time and did an EXPERT job installing it--definitely, the most professional installation I've ever seen. There was a small charge for moving our massive furniture and they did this without complaint. I'll be going back to them soon to carpet my livingroom. I recommend them highly and without reservations. They are a small family business with superb and prompt customer service. It was a positive experience from start to finish. Support your local businesses!"
