They provided me with detailed drawings of the project and offered ideas on the etching of the doors. They remeasured again to be precise to the drawings. to design and install new kitchen cabinets in my home. Their designer measured everything and had me go to their showroom to go over details, sign a contract and pay a 50% deposit. In order to have the cabinets delivered six weeks later, I had to give them a cashier s check for the balance, minus 10%, which was to be paid after installation. It wasn't until the day of nstallation that it was discovered that they didn't fit in my kitchen. The manager,

Birch refused to take any responsibility for the design flaws, telling me they had fulfilled their contract with me by delivering the cabinets as they had designed them, because I had signed off on the designs, and it was my responsibility to renovate my kitchen to fit them. Despite multiple conversations and emails, they continue to refuse to do anything. I am now out $6543, and I am still without a kitchen."

"Overall the job went very well. There were minor snags and timing issues but

did everything they could to address any issues. The quality of the cabinets is excellent. I would have liked the installation of the cabinets and granite to be done quicker but in the whole scheme of things I know that from start to finish the project did not take extremely long. After I placed the order it took about 3 weeks before the cabinets came in and then another 4 days before they installed them. Then the granite took another two weeks before it was installed. They knew we were going out of town and tried to work with us to ensure that everything was done before we left town. The granite needs to be sealed again which they agreed to do for us. The minor snags were minimal (additional knobs that had to be ordered, garbage can underneath the sink, timing of ordering the glass). As I said earlier, they tried to address the issues and work with our time frame."

"Sloppy craftsmanship, always trying to cut corners, not timely with project scheduling. 1st counter top had 2 pieces of

joined where the sink sits. The rep suggested "painting" the line where they joined with a plastic compound. I said "unacceptable". It was grudgingly taken back to the shop & returned two days later--- with the paint compound on the seam instead of a new piece! Guess they thought I wouldn't notice. Sent back again. Two weeks to have the right size

shipped. 5 cabinets had no shelves. Installers gouged holes in drywall during installation. Measurements for

space inaccurate requiring another visit to trim. Pass through window counter top installed backwards, sent back to the shop. The installation process that should have taken a day took 6 weeks. Through a translator, complained to the owner who made an appointment to come to my house, but 1/2 hour after the scheduled time the rep called to cancel for him, he didn't speak English."

This means that our kitchen area was unusable for over two months. We had to wash dishes in the back yard with the garden hose. We made repeated attempts to get them to finish the job. We traveled to their place of business over 15 times. (It's appx. 30 miles from my house). Most of the time they didn't answer the phone at the location. Many times at the location, we encountered people with similar complaints. We made a formal complaint to the Contractor Licensing & Code Compliance Division of the Building Code Compliance Office. Once we were assigned a case worker, he contacted

and they finished the job within 1 week of the County Offices' phone call to them. The company uses a license number that appears to be invalid or false. "

"The owner came and took all measurements. He gave me a quote the next day. He came back and remeasured and provided me with diagrams of the kitchen. He was on time and professional. Installation happened the day he said it would. Installers were professional and did an excellent job."
