was our installer and was prompt and courteous. We had to remove components of the previous system as well as add several smoke alarms, motion detectors, and heat sensors throughout the house. There was lots of work to be done, ...more and
made it look easy and was extremely polite and clean for the entire day. At the completion of the work he took the time to go over the entire system and answer all of my questions. We went with
after looking at a number of companys and decided on them based on reviews, personal refferals and their cost. "

was a nice guy who was patient and professional. He provided suggestions on what would have been the best option for my situation. He was punctual and executed everything as promised. I would definitely work with this company again.

"PROS: Hard wired alarm system was here when we bought the house. Like the chime when doors open.
CONS: The glass break wasn't working when we set the system up after moving in, they just said it wasn't working and made no effort to repair it. The batteries have twice failed and instead of someone from the company calling me to check ...more if something is wrong, an automated system calls my phone to say the batteries are going dead. What if someone had cut the power??
When I call them there is usually a long hold time, but the people are nice enough. I just feel like I have an alarm system without proper back up. "
"Renters-think twice. This system is good, BUT if your landlord stops
your lease and you must move each year, a 3 year contract will cost you a
LOT! $99 initial $30 per sensor for each additional sensor THEN $42 +
per month monitoring. Over 3 years that works out to almost $2000. The $30 per
sensor more is huge if you have ...more several doors and ground floor/easily
accessible windows or patio doors. System easy to use, but if you move,
and move somewhere that already has a system installed then it costs
80% to buy out the contract. Oy - is all I have to say and 17 more
months of monitoriing required (OR 80% upfront to buy out). "
. Starting with the quote process, through installation, to ongoing monitoring,
has provided quality and professional services. I only gave them a B on punctuality, because the reps were very late to a scheduled appointment (but at least they called to tell me they were late). ...more Pricing for install and ongoing service is comprable to ADT and other alarm companies."
's thoroughness when he came out for the initial visit. He took the time to actually tell me the locations that were at risk, and pointed out
, free ways to secure the house. His many years of experience in installing alarm systems meant that he was able to easily size up not ...more only our house's needs, but what we needed because of our neighborhood. He took the time to answer my many questions, and helped me to understand the many different approaches alarm salesmen have in convincing a prospective customer to purchasing their product(guilt trip, lowering price, throwing in freebies, high pressure techniques). I was nice having someone explain how different companies approached a customer. OK, so the installation was set up for the next day after I call them with my decision. The two technicians were prompt and obviously experienced-I liked knowing that it was UL listed electricians installing my system. They were fast with the installation, but they took the time to not only explain how the keypad worked, but(good teaching method)had me do several procedures with them right there for practice. Other pluses: Locally owned company, excellent reputation in the area, provides all the support that the big national companies do. You pay more money upfront with the installation and cost of the equipment, but then you own it, ultimately saving you money in the long run. We are paying $20 a month for monitoring, charged quarterly."
to let them know that I had a house sitter, I was unable to contact them because their phones were down. In order to avoid trouble(all my emergency friends were out of town) I left the country telling the sitter not to set the alarm. At my next opportunity I switched to
would not release me from my contract for two more years. I notified the company that I had dropped their service. This contract was finally up March of '08 but the payments continued to be taken from my checking account. I had called
to be sure that I was no longer a customer and I was assured that I wasn't. I finally spoke with the payment agency and was told that in the fine print of my contract I should have notified them one month prior to March of '08 in writing and I was now under contract for another year. Oh yes. I had gone to my credit union to stop payments but the payment company used a different name and my prior info to continue withdrawing from my account. Finally, with hours spent on the phone I think I am finally finished with it all. Also beware that it is up to you to see that your system is connected because I was informed that
has no way of knowing that. It is your responsibility!!!!!"
"The installation went fine, however the system (in particular, the remote control devices) has not worked correctly since the installation. The customer service and follow up has been substandard. They have come out in the past when we call them to report another problem and have always "adjusted" something, but it never completely solves ...more the problem. I called the company one Friday afternoon and the phone rang without response..no answer, no voice mail, no answering service, nothing. They are making an attempt to support us, but it requires multiple phone calls with no follow up to find out how the system is working. Customer service needs a great deal of work."
