"Too fast on
cleaning. don't know how well cleaning was done. Failed to tell me the glass screen was not suitable (which I had learned from another dealer)" and that I should have a video inspection of the entire chimney.

"It has been over a year and everything has been fine. There has been no odor of any gas at all. I thought that they did a great job. I think our gas logs are much cleaner than wood" burning. It looks really nice and still give off heat without the fuss of smoke or cleaning up fireplace ashes. You do have to re-light the pilot light if it goes out. I don't remember the price as it has been a while since it was done.

"We absolutely love having a fireplace in our house. We use it all of the time. I think it took them two days to get the whole thing finished and ready for us to use. Everything they" did was great. Everyone who worked on putting it in was really nice. They made sure we knew exactly what they needed to do at each step of installation.

Fireplaces

Most people enjoy sitting in front of a fire on a cold day, but there are disadvantages to traditional, wood-burning fireplaces. They tend to waste energy, require maintenance and pose some risk. Read this guide to discover several alternatives that provide the same ambiance, but with fewer downsides.

He hasn't legally abandoned the job as long as he is still showing up and doing something, even if it is very little, from time to time.  You'll have to fire him first.  Have documentation that the job is not being done in a timely manner, showing when he has and has not worked.  Be ready for a fight and probably a legal battle since he will likely still want more money or won't refund money paid for incomplete work.

Change the locks and inform the contractor their services on your property are terminated.  Tell him if anyone representing his company enters your property they will be considered trespassing and will be prosecuted.  Then hire another company to check the work he has done to make sure it is right.  Somehow I doubt it is given the nature of his work ethic.  Then have the new contractor repair any bad workmanship and finish the job.  Keep records as any documented things that have to be redone will help your case against the first contractor.

I would recommend finding a good hearth retailer in your area and work with them to select a stove that is right for your home. They should also be able to arrange for certified installer to handle the installation. Keep in mind many areas require a city or county permit for the installation, and it may be wise to have the chimney and fireplace inspected by a certified chimney sweep beforehand.

They showed up on time and they were quick tearing out the old brick. They took care in not scratching the floors and they made sure the whole thing was waterproofed for me. The workers were polite and they picked up everything before they left. I would definitely use them again.

We live in an older home in Midtown. I had heard from neighbors that squirrels and roof rats can invade during the winter months. As a precautionary measure, I called
Memphis Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
services and was provided with a service call that same day. Our service technician,
Memphis Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, was very professional, listened to my concerns, and quickly got to work. While inspecting the house he took photos of areas of possible ingress of pests and suggested sealing these to prevent invasion. It really helped to have photos of the things that I never would of have seen! It turns out there was a pretty large area along the roof where squirrels or some other critter had chewed a hole into the attic! He explained service options well and did not apply any pressure on me whatsoever to make a decision that day on whether or not to proceed with service. I called a few days later and scheduled my service. The lady on the phone went out of her way to help accommodate my schedule (made a few phone calls, switched around jobs) and had my service scheduled quickly. When
Memphis Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
returned, he worked for a solid 4-5 hours and even removed a few branches that were scraping along the roof without me even having to ask him to do so. We were very happy with our service and hope that it prevents squirrels from coming into the house this winter.

Work was done in a very professional manner,,supervised by
Memphis Fireplace Contractors Provider Name Locked
, who seemed to be an expert. They did a beautiful job and cleaned up well afterward. The price seemed a little high to me, but then they did a lot, and I felt they really knew what they were doing. The fireplace works well and I've been very happy with the results.

They came inside and put a drop-cloth on my floor. The hose of their high powered vacuum was placed in the fireplace. Up to the roof they went, and within a short time were handing me the paperwork. They answered my questions and were on their way.
