"The

explained throrughly how they work and who they would send out. They also told me that if there was anything else I needed done to let the man they send out know and he could estimate and do those jobs as well. They worked with my busy schedule and sent out a guy whose name I really wish I could remember because he was fantastic. He looked at what the job would require, completely explained to me what supplies would be needed and about how much they would cost from Lowes, then gave me an estimate. He ordered my stairs from Lowes. I paid for all supplies and he did a great job. It has been about 4 years, and the stairs function great. He also installed a set of floating shelves in my bedroom and secured a second set of attic stairs with a latch. I called him about a year ago to replace the second set of stairs because the plumber said he could not get a new water heater in the attic using the old stairs. He came out the same day and said there was no way he was going to just take my money because the stairs were sturdy. Besides, he explained, the water heater will be empty when they remove it, so it is just a hollow tube, and the new one would be empty as well when they carry it up the stairs into the attic. He said he had installed plenty of water heaters and knew what he was talking about. I was so thankful, because I was leery of the plumber and his integrity from the moment he walked into my home. I called the plumber back and told him that the stairs were fine. At that point I wish I could have let

intall the water heater, but I was under a home warrenty contract.

"We went with AP&C because of the positive reviews on this site and because their estimate was lower than the others we had received. We were pleased with the work the carpenters did repairing rotten wood and siding on the outside of our home, but we were very disappointed with the painting. They were supposed to scrape and spot prime the exterior and apply 2 coats of paint. We made the mistake of paying them when they were only 95% done.

came by to get a list of the things we still wanted done or that we wanted fixed and he asked for his check so that he could "pay his guys." We gave him a list, but we never saw him again. After the fact, we noticed a lot of problems with the paint job. They did a very poor job of scraping. The cracked, peeling texture of the old paint is still visible through the new paint all over the house. As for the painting itself, the new paint was already bubbling when the paint job was only a month old. They also left a lot of paint on the windows and actually painted all of our windows shut. In addition, they left a pretty big mess--paint can lids, sandpaper, and even loose razor blades all over our yard. Pet owners should also beware. They let our cat out and didn't say anything. We realized after they had gone for the day that he was missing and he was gone for 3 days. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not use AP&C again.

"He arrived at the scheduled time for the bid. He gave me a firm price for the completion of the job. He told me when he could complete the job (when to call him to firm up the schedule). After calling him to confirm, he told me that he would pick up materials I purchased (including making trips to/from hardware stores to buy additional supplies) and start the job the same day. That's exactly what he did. When the job ran one day longer, he returned the following day and completed the job as described. He even did some additional work that I requested on the second day."

Reed responded right away to my call and came to give an estimate the next day. They returned the following week with a full crew and did the work in an afternoon."

"The project was completed as specified in the written estimate in a timely fashion. They covered the lawn with heavy plastic to catch debris which was disposed in their dumpster. The workers were very professional and wore company t-shirts for identification. A foreman and/or experienced supervisor remained on the job at all times. They did an excellent job of project management by planning according to the weather to avoid the

of rain during the tear-off. They started on a Monday and were finished by Saturday afternoon. Although a large deposit was required, we were not asked to pay until the start day when the materials were delivered, and we could pay with a credit card.

"Overall, the experience was good. He spent a week (5 days) fixing everything I'd let go around the house for the past 2 years. He had a co-worker during the days he was installing the gate due to its size and weight. He cleaned up and was delayed slightly by bad weather for a few days. I had to wait three weeks to have the work completed but it was worth it. Next year I'll do it again."

did a great job. What impressed me the most was his willingness to work with us on the price. It could have cost a lot more. This made me feel very comfortable with him in my home. He showed up everyday on time and ready to work. He was a hard worker and I didn't have to stay right on top of him to get him to work."

"In both cases the proprietor,
Memphis General Contractors Provider Name Locked
House, has listened carefully to
what we wanted, proposed solutions that were appropriate to the
problems, and then overseen his workers to make sure that things were
done quickly and well. We have been very pleased with the overall
quality of their work, their attention to detail, and their promptness
in getting the jobs done.
Both jobs were bidded competitively,
scheduled rapidly, and completed on time and on budget. In the one case
where there were some minor issues with the job, they returned
immediately and took care of the problem with no extra charge.
We particularly appreciated the care with which Mr.
Memphis General Contractors Provider Name Locked
approached our seismic upgrades, which are a new technique in our area. He very carefully read all the engineering guidance from
Memphis General Contractors Provider Name Locked
, discussed it with an engineer, and then carefully went over the job with us to make sure everything was being done correctly.
We would happily recommend them and happily hire them again.

and his employee were both very professional and conscience. They showed up on time and continued until the job was finished. His estimate was the lowest I received and even though more damage was discovered he fixed it all without any increase in cost to me. The price I paid was the amount of the original estimate. He "bent over backwards" to ensure that I was happy with the work. He stands behind his estimate and his work. Finally, he ensured that the work site was cleaned up completely. I would not hesitate to recommend

and I intend to use him again.

"After bids and deliberation, i decided on
Memphis General Contractors Provider Name Locked
because I felt they were committed to fixing problems and getting the job done... no matter the cost... and that is what I wanted. I did not want anyone cutting corners with the roof, if there was a problem, i wanted to know about it, and I wanted to know that they could fix it. These guys are great, and I recommend them to anyone who will listen, and I would use them again and again.
