"I called Friday afternoon and explained the problem. 
offered to come yet that afternoon if needed, but I asked for 8 am the next morning. He got there a couple of minutes early, was professional but friendly. He spent a little over 15 minutes which included, diagnosing the problem, replacing the FVIR sensor, reprogramming the electronic controls, and testing the water heater. He also explained what had happened and why, how to reduce the of it occuring again, and then he wrote out the re-set sequence on the water heater in case we needed to do it ourselves. I have dealt with a lot of tradesmen and contractors and I think I have a good sense of who I can trust. I will certainly use Capitol Plumbing in the future, and I recommend them without any reservations. They know their stuff. Like most professionals, they know the value of their work, but the work was done promptly, effectively and at a reasonable cost. This was a really good experience."

I won't hesitate to call him again for any jobs that I don't want to tackle myself. was recommended to me by a friend who had significant work done, and was very happy with all aspects of 's work. Here's a summary of that work: Plumbed 2 full baths and a 2nd floor laundry room. All 3 of these were completely new in a 100+ year-old house, and required the supply lines, drains, and a brand new vent stack from basement through the roof. The laundry included two valuable safety devices. 1) A drain with a floor drain in case the washer leaked, and 2) an electronic shut-off that only supplies H2O pressure when the washer is running. It also senses if water is leaking into the drain and shuts off the water. also removed a significant amount of old plumbing, and replaced our water heater with an on-demand hot water heater."

"I got two bids for new water heaters in a two-family we bought in . came by and gave a $1800-1900 range for two ten-year, 40 A O water heaters. Another company gave us an $1800 bid for comparable ten-year, 40 water heaters, but though I liked the man who gave the bid, I didn't know how the plumbers who actually installed them would be. does all his own work and was recommended by our inspector whose opinion we trust. and his son dropped off the heaters on a Saturday and he and his father installed them on Monday. They also hard piped a first floor dryer exhaust and installed a copper boiler relief drain. The $1800-1900 bid he gave was for the water heaters only. The whole job, including the dryer exhaust and the relief drain was $2053. I think I got a very good deal and the inexact bid was not used as an opportunity to tack on a lot of other expenses. He stands behind the A O water heaters he installed and behind his own work. If you want an honest, skilled professional who will do the work himself rather than give an estimate and have his employees do the job, would be a great person to hire."

"We had come back from a short vacation and found no hot water. We called Capitol and they were at our home within a half hour. The vent fan on the approx thirteen to fourteen year old water heater had failed. The old brand/model was no longer being made. We elected to install a newer larger heater. By the time I got home the same day, the new water heater was installed and working fine. We have used Capitol before and we have always been impressed by their work and professionalism. They always clean up thoroughly and every detail is perfect."
