"They worked very well with the service and were respectful of my parents. They were prompt, professional, courteous and helpful. One of them even took a mattress / boxspring off my parents hand when they were unable to coordinate the delivery of their new set the day of the move. And, it was about 90 degrees on the day of the move. They carried on very well in spite of the heat."

"I originally scheduled MCM to move directly from my old to my new apartment. However, two days before the move I found out I couldn't move in early to my new place. MCM was very accommodating and stored my stuff over the weekend. They gave me a new estimate, which turned out to be a little low. The movers arrived on time to move my stuff out and were very efficient and organized. I didn't realize that they charge for transit and unloading time, but the price was still reasonable. The movers were an hour late moving my stuff in, but probably because the estimate didn't take loading from storage into account. One of the movers was from the crew that moved me out, which was nice to see a familiar face. The movers placed all the stuff in the right place and didn't ding the walls or scratch the floor. They didn't

anything in storage or damage anything in transit, even some boxes that I poorly packed."

"It went very well. I'd had a moving company move a few large items last year and they were not careful and didn't seem to respect my items or my home, banging up furntirue and walls as they went. The Tippler guys were fantastic, worked really h****** a hot day and were careful with my items and nothing was damaged (including our home). My only minor gripe was that I left some mattress bags out on top of the mattresses to put them in so they didn't get dirty when they moved them. (I had left the house for a little while to go to the destination house and so I wasn't there to tell them that.) I kind of thought they'd figure it out, but it wasn't a big deal. I should have told them that explicitly and there wouldn't have been a problem whatsover. My experience with movers is generally not great, but these guys were really top notch. They are the only moving company I'd recommend."

The only glitch was at the storage unit when they locked their keys inside the truck! But they called the shop, which sent someone out right away with a new set. They offered no explanation or apology, and stopped returning my calls and emails once they had their money. I made the mistake of assuming that someone who told me they'd been doing this for 12 years would be closer than 30% off. Dishonest or just incompetent? I'll never know - and I'll never get that money back. The packers did an OK job. In my un-professional they used way more boxes than necessary (e.g. they packed one box with nothing but a lamp shade in it) but I suppose they'd rather err on the side of caution. They were quick and didn't break anything. The driver and loaders were pretty good. They were on time at both ends of the move and there was virtually no damage to our stuff. Both the driver and packers indicated to me that the estimate was probably off, but that wasn't under their control."

On moving day, the movers - 4 of them - arrived promptly at 7:30 and got to work immediately. They were efficient in their preparations and the packing of the truck. They carefully wrapped furniture and delicate items and took great care in moving items from the house into the truck. They were equally efficient unpacking the truck and putting things in place in the new house. If boxes weren't clearly marked, they always asked where things went.They were professional and friendly and worked their butts off in very cold temperatures. The price was a little higher compared to other quotes we received, but in the end, it was well worth it. I would highly recommend

"I called based on reviews online. I spoke with a friendly gentlemen who tried to help on the phone until we both agreed we would be better off with a site visit to provide an estimate. The gentleman to provide the estimate arrived on time, was quite congenial, helped me work out the schedule and sent me the official estimate the next morning. The estimator kindly dropped by the packing materials early to allow me time to complete some more packing on my own. There was some confusion the day of the packing about scheduling. I thought we had set a specific afternoon start with an option for me to push it back depending on how much I had accomplished in the previous days. I called to push it back and was told that we had no specific time and the movers would arrive whenever they finished their first task of the day which upset my coordinated schedule for the day quite a bit. In the end they actually arrived at the originally scheduled time but the communication issue and the general demeanor of the dispatcher when I called about the schedule was off-putting. The movers packed efficiently though they didn't use the original manufacturer's packaging materials that I requested they use for some of my dishes. They moved swiftly and were clearly focused on completing the task -- in no way "killing time" as some might have. They arrived promptly the next morning at the scheduled time and went straight to work packing and moving the boxes and furniture. I was somewhat surprised to discover that these movers don't blanket furniture prior to moving, but prefer to blanket and protect in the truck. Granted much of my furniture was already quite "experienced" but the stairwell and hallway were less so. They did blanket a couple of special pieces as I requested but I was somewhat surprised to have to ask at this price point. That and a failure to do a final walkthrough to identify the two drawers and cabinet that had been missed account for the B in quality. They moved furniture and boxes into my new home efficiently and only a few small boxes were misplaced. (probably fewer than could be expected with the number of items being moved) They finished well under the original time estimate saving me a good sum and were friendly throughout the process."
