Signed the contract and picked out all the materials in June 2013, were under the impression the job would be done by the end of August, job started mid-October, first bathroom done the week of Thanksgiving, second bathroom done in mid-January. We had to contact them in August to ask what was going on, when the project was going to start. They said other projects had run behind and they expected to start later in August, but didn't start until mid-October. Three months to get the two bathrooms done because there were sometimes several days in a week when no one showed up to do any work and very few weeks when there was work done every day. They blamed the tiling company, Nonn's Flooring, at times, but as the contractors, they had the ultimate responsibility of making sure the subcontractors were on time and doing what they were supposed to. Supplies weren't delivered on time, even though the project started months after we picked everything out. Tiles of the same pattern were placed next to each other and the accent tiles are not evenly spaced or flush with the wall. They didn't place fixtures where we asked and put some of the wrong fixtures between the two bathrooms. They weren't here to meet us for meetings they set. Their subcontractors were rude and seemed angry to be here. Average quality overall and the hassles and delays were just ridiculous. We didn't even tell them the things that were wrong because we were so tired of having them here and I would rather live with the imperfections than have them in my house anymore. I'm glad they're done and would never ever recommend them for anything.

performed quality work in a timely manner. We had contract pricing, so the prices were set based on volume. The prices were always very reasonable. Even better than the reasonable rates were the customer service, the quality of work, and the reliability.
is a pleasure to work with and extremely understanding of the Property Management business, so he always understood the importance of quick and timely work getting done. I would recommend
for all your carpeting needs.

was responsive. He returned my inquiry call immediately, came out and did an accurate written estimate, and started the job right on time (even while I was out of town). patched the floors, sanded them, sealed the wood and applied 3 coats of

Satin Polyurethane. The floors are beautiful!
He hung plastic to minimize dust in the kitchen and completely cleaned the site up during and when he finished. He even shoveled a path to the door so he wouldn't track snow in. He uses quality products that hardly smelled and he was sensitive to keeping the ventilation fans running to facilitate air exchange as the floors dried.

Needed to update the flooring in our TV/Dining Room/Kitchen area of our 60+
Madison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
house. The old flooring consisted of carpet and glued down vinyl from I'm guessing very early 70s.
After looking at several flooring stores my wife settled on a laminate product from Menards. Normally I would have liked to have done the install myself. But because of time constraints and hassle of existing flooring material removal, I wanted to have a professional take care of it. I got a packet of about 10 installers that Menards recommends (does not guarantee or authorize). After researching on Angie's List and the web, I decide to call 2 for free estimates. One of those was
Madison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. Although he was not reviewed on Angie's List (3 others were and I was not impressed) - I liked the straightforward attitude that his information was presented in the packet.
Cost was about the same between
Madison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and the other guy's estimates. The reason I ended up hiring
Madison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was because I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing, he hauled away the waste at no extra cost, and he provided the padding that goes under the laminate as part of his estimate. He looked/smelled clean and was prompt, respectful and friendly.

let me know exactly how much flooring and what kind of reducers and door jams to buy. He was on time in the morning, and worked full days. He was careful to prep the subfloor thoroughly. He even cut out some of the sub-floor and replaced it because it had been soiled heavily by (I'm guessing) the previous owner's pet at NO EXTRA CHARGE. He advised me on how to install the one of the reducers myself, because it couldn't be put in until I finished the base and quarter round that I did once the floor was in.
The job was estimated to take 3 days but
Madison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
finished in 2. He did a great job cleaning up the mess and I'm extremely happy to the workmanship. My father in law (who is an extreme perfectionist) was even impressed by the installation. The floor looks great!

It went great! We renovated 3 duplexes this summer and had

Worked with us using our ideas and requests to come up with a floor plan. Provided good ideas and remarks that were incorporated but never overwhelmed us with his opinions. And if we said no to something, he did not try to do what most contractors have done with us in the past which is over selling and/or being overly aggressive. Provided a very thorough work plan and schedule. Started on time, and despite a couple of major glitches due to old house and unexpected problems, stayed on schedule and on budget with the only cost increase being due to 2 agreed upon, and very wisely done change orders which were cost effective and big wins. All services contracted for, tear-out, electrical, plumbing, tiling, carpentry were done in the most professional manner with the highest quality result. Had a few issues up front with some bumps and bruises to a few things, but they were fixed and covered by the contractor. Also we complained a little during the first week about the dust and clean-up, and the contractor made sure after that at the end of the work day, and the end of the work week, things were put in as good order as good be expected for a large and messy job. Contractor and crew were very considerate of their environment.
We have owned 5 houses and have had much contract work done; this is the best work we've had done in 23 years of multi-house ownership.

worked h****** establishing a working relationship with us and did everything in his power to make the experience as pain-free as possible. His wife also provided some great input and advice with some accessory details (sink, cabinet, toilet, fixtures, and general aesthetics of overall effort) and they actually make a great team.
We have hired them again to do some more work for us as a result.

This was my first remodel and should have done more research. My designer quit or was fired and nobody informed me. My designer quoted the job at $6000 less than the actual cost.
Madison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
reimbursed me $3000. I constantly had to call and check to see if/when any of the work was going to be scheduled to be completed. I cancelled my flooring order after they still had not scheduled for the flooring installation 2 months after I ordered the materials. I actually used Angie's List to find another company to complete the flooring. I also cancelled my appliances and ordered from Best Buy. My project manager was from Crew 2 and did not get the work completed in a timely manner even after I had made numerous complaints. I did not have appliances or a working sink in my kitchen for 2 months. My cabinets were delivered and sitting in my garage for a month before the project manager scheduled an cabinet installation date. This was a total disaster and I will never work with a

store again.

This whole experience was a comedy of problems, and what it comes down to is you get what you pay for.

First, the communication between us and the "technician" doing the work was nearly impossible. We had to go through the central office to communicate with him. I asked for his cell phone several times, but they'd never give it to me. What this resulted in was us not getting the proper fixtures, or making purchases that weren't compatible, multiple trips to the hardware store that could have been avoided (and didn't need to happen, but ended up extending the overall timeframe of the remodel project) and having to make several returns (of big purchases).

Second problem: they didn't allow enough time to finish the job. They scheduled out four full days for the remodel. The technician only spent two full days at our house, leaving early or coming late the other two, saying "they screwed up and scheduled me somewhere else). He laid blame on the central office that did the scheduling. This is our only bathroom, so unfinished remodeling work is doubly an inconvenience. When the four days were up, the job wasn't completed--far from it, actually. And the technician basically said "call and schedule when I can come back and finish up." Sorry,
Madison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. Not how it's supposed to work.

Third problem: Shoddy craftsmanship. We have called them back to fix things at least four different times now (stretching on to 8 months after the job was complete). Originally, it was because they didn't finish the job properly--tile that wasn't sealed, grout that was chipping out, grout mess left all over the tile, baseboards not caulked properly, a sink vanity installed unevenly (which resulted in pooling water near the soap dish). Now, we're calling them back because the wiring of the ceiling fan isn't working.

Fourth problem: Accounting. They tried to charge me for things that I bought. Like a $150 ceiling fan! I called them and told them that I had purchased these things, and though I asked for it, they could not give me a dollar-by-dollar breakdown of the expenses I was paying for. Once they removed from the invoice the expenses that I had actually purchased (about $300 worth of materials), they couldn't account for where that $300 they were trying to charge me came from. Absolutely ridiculous.

Fifth problem: Just unprofessional. The technician would slam the office people doing the scheduling, in front of me. The owner of the franchise and the scheduler would slam the technician on the phone with me, and question the job they were doing. This is not how a reputable company operates.

Do yourself a favor and don't ever use these guys for anything but applying oil to a squeaky door hinge, because that is about the level of skill they are capable of, in my opinion. CERTAINLY NOT A BATHROOM REMODEL.
