"I can't say enough wonderful things about working with
and his crew! From the initial phone call to the finish date, everything went incredibly smooth. After the initial meeting and estimate I had a few questions and over ...more email
responded within the day no fail. He was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He made me feel comfortable with the decisions I was making and also was open to helping me with the design of the patio, color and stamped pattern.
was here first thing in the morning to start digging out the yard and prepping for
to be poured the next day. He emailed me with updates of how things were going and what to expect.
' crew was also here bright and early the following day to get things done. They were courteous, kind and very personable. The crew worked quickly and I was surprised to see what a beautiful patio I had when I got home from work that day.
returned a few days later to seal the patio and fill in around the new concrete with top soil, seed and straw. He put my fence back up and talked with me about doing the driveway!
I would definitely recommend

"My garage floor project went very well.
responded promptly to my request for an estimate. He came to my house to take a look at the project and by the time he left I felt like I had just met someone who took pride in his work ...more and in delivering the best possible customer service. He explained to me in detail what the job would entail and how he would remove and replace the decades old cracked and sunken garage floor. He patiently answered the many questions I had for him in an intelligent, understandable manner. The floor was in terrible shape, cracked from front to back, side to side, sunken 4 inches toward the house foundation and funneling water into the basement whenever it rained. His description of his process sounded to me like he did the highest quality work one could hope for. I received a professional estimate in the mail with a thoroughly detailed description of
installation process and the materials used. Documentation included his Warranty Info, proof of current Liability Insurance and Bond Certification, references, testimonials and, helpful information about the characteristics of concrete. For my floor, he
-hammered and removed the old concrete. Driving his bobcat, loaded with large chunks of concrete, in and out of my single car garage was fun to watch until I realized how careful he had to be not to take out the sides of the garage or the overhead door. It was a tight fit, he was total concentration. Watching him dig out the old sand and mud base was a treat as well until it looked to me like he'd dug a hole so deep trying to find solid ground that he wouldn't be able to get the Bobcat out without toppling over backwards. He placed dowels in
foundation as support for the floor, installed steel reinforcement rods for structural support, poured a 5" thick floor, sealed it, then cut stress lines into it the next day. The job was not done until he had cleaned up my driveway, the city sidewalk and the street. Working with
and his 2-man crew was a pleasure. Seriously, a pleasure. I was nervous about getting this project completed without a hitch at a price I could afford.
managed to make that happen for me. They do not swear, there is no smoking, no loud music, they are polite and courteous and hard-working.
I've worked with all kinds of contractors, good ones, a couple nightmare contractors and quite a few in-between.
is a trustworthy craftsman, charges reasonably for high-quality work and respects his clients. If you need concrete work done, you can breathe easy hiring
. I'm hiring him again next Spring to remove and replace my old, crumbling driveway. "

came over to do the estimate, he was very direct and straight forward, offering advice, and was good at explaining his ideas. He was not condescending, as some other concrete estimators were. When it was time to do the work,
and his crew did a great job, and were very professional. They let us ...more know when they was going to be lots of dust from cutting concrete, so we could let our neighbors know to shut their windows. They explained what they were doing as they went. They were very friendly and did great work. It has rained several days since then, and there has not been any water pooling, and it looks great.
We did get some other estimates for less, but they were going to demo out the old concrete; they were only going to pour new on top of the old, and we didn't like that. Also, those lower estimates wouldn't have worked because they didn't meet those companies' "minimums." We ended up with about 1.5 yards of concrete. I think any reasonable concrete company should be able to work with that.
There was one way my experience could have gone a little better, and that is communication. After receiving the estimate, it was difficult to get a hold of
, and he would often tell me that he was going to call me back, and then didn't. I was just very persistent with calling him to follow up. The exact day they were going to do the work was understandably a little bit up in the air because of all the rain we've had this June. He kept saying that he would text me or call me when he was on his way over, but he didn't. He just showed up. It would have been nice to have a little better communication. But, if you are persistent with calling him, I believe you will have a good experience. "
"I thought this went very well ! Of course, there are some ordinary weather hangups, but other than that, no problems.
was 5 inches thick with the Approach being 7" thick per city code. It was sealed with an acrylic sealer and another sealer will be put on by the company in a month or two. The price included all gravel ...more and materials. The course gravel was an astounding 3 feet deep because of the amount of clay that had to be dug out--a lot. This had to be done for proper drainage which is always a concern unless you like water in places where it should not be. Driveway was angled and sloped appropriately also. Control joints and broom finish were perfect. Steel rods were used on this driveway also. Ok to walk on the next day, but vehicles had to stay off for about 5 days. Other companies may cut some corners, but really, you get what you pay for, and when doing a big project like this, I wanted it to turn out right the first time. This was done on my rental property. I recently observed last week that some concrete driveway work was being done across the street on new construction where I live, and it was not nearly as well done. They pretty much ignored the clay, and I think that is a mistake. People were driving on it the next day and I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with a drainage problem due to the clay. A construction company tried to fill in a low area by dumping dirt on it while ignoring the elephant in the living room--the clay area. Guess what...today I see they have a new little lake there--no actually it's quite a large pond. I'd say it's going to need a culvert. Yes I would recommend The Concrete Company from
, WI. [Note there is another company called "Concrete Company" (no "The" in the name) which I am not familiar with and have done no work with them. ] "
"Our front steps and walkway needed replacing. Not content with the existing design, I designed a series of large angulated and offset pads leading up to the front door. Each was a different size and shape. They were also on a curve. The job was therefore more complex than the
, typical steps and walkway that we were replacing. ...more
of D&M was professional, easy to communicate with and came when he said he would. His employees were skilled, professional and a pleasure to work with. They took care to minimize the damage to our adjacent lawn and garden and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. The work was completed in the time frame they had told us beforehand. The results look great and we are happy to recommend D&M highly. "
"I got many estimates for getting a new driveway to our house. After meeting with Cliff, he explained the process they use for removal and instillation, and how they use rebar throughout the driveway to help it maintain throughout the extreme cold and heat in
- which isn't something everyone does. We signed the contract ...more and they were very punctual in getting us on their schedule. Unfortunately, the winter came early and they told us we couldn't get it done until Spring. I offered to send a deposit to ensure we would get on the list for the Spring, but
in the office told me that it wasn't necessary and assured me we would be one of the first on the schedule. I really respected the fact that they didn't want to sit on our money for 5 months!
As soon as the frost was getting out of the ground (or at least trying to), I got an email from
telling me we were on the schedule. We were told our instillation date and she sent over the "proper care of your new driveway" form which had many helpful suggestions to keep the concrete in great shape. That was when we sent the deposit in. With rain in the forecast,
and Cliff continued to keep in great contact with me about when I should expect work to begin, which only was delayed for one day.
The crew showed up exactly when I was told they would be there! Cliff went over all the details with me and even made some suggestions about what he thought would be good small additions to the project (that look amazing!!!!). And his great service didn't end there - he went over how the gutters on the house should be pitched so all the water isn't going to the downspout by the driveway to make sure it would last longer. He made sure I didn't have any further questions, went over when we can drive on it and all the other care details with me again before starting the tear out.
On day two of the install, Cliff explained to me how when he removed the front step, it was concrete poured over old concrete. So to make sure there would be no water going into the house, he added a
of tin between the house and the newly poured concrete. That was something he didn't have to do, or even tell me about, But he took the time to explain the process and let me know what was there and how they made it 1,000 times better!
I have to say this team is amazing! I am so glad that we found them! Their work is fantastic, Cliff and his crew is great to work with, they did an amazing clean up after install and
is very professional and keeps great contact with the clients.
If anyone is looking for concrete work, I would highly recommend
"I am very pleased with my new driveway and front walkway. The driveway is on a hill and was not easy to do, but
and his team did a great job. He did everything he promised. Throughout the job,
kept in communication and explained every step of the process. He was absolutely a pleasure to deal with the entire ...more time and I really appreciated that because I have definitely been mistreated by other contractors. "
and his crew, they were meticulous and professional every step of the way. We had prior problems with water leaking into our basement and when
removed our old driveway he found that there was excessive water in the
soil due to many reasons (it looked like ...more mud soup). He definitely went the extra mile and
did the absolute right thing even though it required more work than an average job, I believe that for him he was just doing the only acceptable thing which was to do it the right way. He had to excavate what seemed to be more than 3 feet to get all of the saturated mud out and then back filled with the proper materials, etc. The driveway itself looks fabulous, the design and execution have been commented on and commended by many neighbors and visitors. We are happy to have made the right choice in working with
. We will work with them again without hesitation should the need arise.
also showed us where we could have future water problems due to poor grading in our front yard and advised how that can be addressed. "
was great! Having been around concrete most of my adult life, I know when I'm getting a "snow job" and
was up front and honest. He even came down a bit since we are a small non-profit and didn't budget for our A/C units being stolen. He did it really quick too so our A/C replacements ...more could be up and running right before the mid-August heat wave. "
