"Mr. provided a detailed quote, based on my drawings and specifications. After approval, work was started on a date we agreed upon, and completed within the time frame provided. provided a port-a-can and dumpster, and kept the area clear of debris, sweeping the area prior to leaving daily. He provided written and detailed change orders promptly, whenever they occurred.
Whenever an issue developed, Mr. followed up promptly - including returning the following year to repair an issue with a defective flooring component.

"Upon initially contacting Mr. , I was pleased that he was able to meet me that afternoon for an initial meeting. I explained the many projects I wanted done, putting emphasis on my basement. It was 15 and I needed it done by Feb 6 for my annual superbowl party. He tossed around some ideas and then offered to take me to two homes he'd done the bar for. My wife and I went along and saw two beautiful bars--one was a home he'd built and the other was his home (he built it as well). We took ideas from each and started a plan.
In two days, he had a quote and more ideas. We scratched off a couple of his ideas but kept many more. I'm very glad he didn't just listen to what I wanted--instead he had input, really good input. Sometimes I'd tell him "no I definitely want it this way" and he'd be fine with that. Other times I asked "what do you think" and usually I was very impressed with his ideas and we went with them.
His estimate was higher than I expected but not ridiculous. After seeing the work he could do, I was happy to pay a premium for the better quality. I stressed the Feb 5th deadline (the party was the 6th) and he said he could do it, no problem. We were only 6 weeks away. I was concerned but he reassured me.
Once I said GO, I was surprised how quickly he started working. The walls were ripped out the next day and we were planning each phase.
He would call me daily with updates and ALWAYS (and I mean always) either answer my call or call me back within an hour. His responsiveness was amazing.
We didn't live in the house at the time (planned on moving in just before the party) and every time we went over there we were surprised at the progress. Anytime I asked him about the plan, he had it to the T. "Drywall on Tues, Painters on Wed, Stone is coming next Monday, etc". And the plan was always stuck to. The workers he used were nice and professional.
He asked us a few times to go somewhere to pick out a stone, or a paint color, or light fixtures, etc. Sometimes we'd tell him to pick it, sometimes we'd pick it. When we picked it, obviously we liked it. When he picked it, it always worked well with our theme.
Throughout the project, I was constantly throwing challenges at him. The biggest was the soda gun system. He had never installed one and neither had I. I had bought it off the internet. Well apparently they are WAY more complicated that you would think. Hook up the system to the water line, add some syrups and CO2 right? Wrong!
It was so unbelievably complicated and yet he was at home researching it at night and working 12 hour days installing it. He knew how important the deadline was and I could tell there was NO way he would miss it.
Not only was he ahead of schedule, but he even was able to handle all my challenges in time. My extra challenges should have added on time, but he just worked harder.
When the party came, everyone was so impressed with my basement. I was so proud. About 1 hour into the party, the kegerator stopped working. I was in panic mode. I called him and asked him what to do. He was busy with his own life (it was sunday at 5pm) but he came right over and fixed it while the party was going. I mean--the guy is a champ. I can't say enough about him. The crowd cheered him as he left to return to his own superbowl party. Seriously, what kind of contractor would do that? Oh and on the final bill, there was no charge for that service call. He's not only a good contractor, he's a good guy.
In addition to the amazing bar, which worked perfectly aside from the kegerator hiccup (not his fault), he also did the following odd jobs for me:
Built a custom wood display area for my world war 2 antiques, built a custom stand and hookup (and installed) a slot machine I had purchased, worked closely with my home-automation installation team to make sure all the lighting was hooked up correctly, helped me on my shower redo--I had mistakenly let my friend 'contract' the work for it and he messed it up 5 different ways. Mr fixed it every time. He also had my concrete floor stained, some carpet installed, two doors widened. I'm sure there were other things, but I can't remember them all.
I just know that now I have a GREAT basement with an amazing bar and I couldn't be happier with Mr . I actually had many projects in the house quoted by him and 2 other firms. He was either the lowest or middle on each. I feel like the basement was expensive, but after seeing those other quotes, maybe he isn't all that high. I know he is worth it though, and there's NO DOUBT I will be using him for every project in the future.
I hate to sound like a sales pitch, but I really am just super impressed with this guy. If you want quality work, on schedule, on budget and a contractor that will give input, answer your calls and keep you updated, hire ."

"Last year, I hired to install bathroom exhaust fans in my two upstairs bathrooms. I was happy with the work so called him to install a new vanity for the downstairs powder room. He and came to the house to see what needed to be done, gave me a quote shortly thereafter, and I scheduled a time for them to do the install a few days later. has great contacts in electricians and plumbers, so he brought along a plumber to rough in a shut off valve and install the new plumbing required (I hadn't ordered the right part so the plumber was able to go and get what was needed). did a great job of installing the vanity plus a filler piece. The new vanity looks great. He also installed a new fireplace screen. is a great guy, I'm comfortable with him in my home, and will call him for all future work. So happy to have found them...I will look no further."

"Awesome work! I am writing this letter to highly endorse and to anyone interested in having some remodeling/construction work done at their home or office. Over the years that I have known , he had done many different kinds of jobs for me. He has painted, tiled, trimmed out wood, hung molding, laid granite, totally remodeled our business office, and the granddaddy of them all, a completely gutted and start from scratch, kitchen! The other nice thing about working with is that he is able to quote the complete job and he is very easy to work with. If the work involves a skill or license that does not have, He has a good group of people that he has worked with over the years and that he holds to the same high level of quality that he provides himself. You as the home owner do not have to go and find someone on your own to install the light fixture or the new bathtub. (Just try and find a plumber or an electrician to come over and do a small piece of some work. Ha! And good luck there!) I have always been totally satisfied with his work, and his sense of integrity and professionalism. I have no reservations about recommending him to anyone looking for his type of service. " Brown, President of the LLC, 4106 Woodmont Park Lane, Louisville, KY 40245 entered into an agreement on June 2010 with Slung to perform certain construction and repair services on her home at 513 lane in Louisville, KY 40207. Slung provided Mr. with three personal checks with the amount of $12,500.00. Over the course of over two months minimal work was completed and the performance was shoddy workmanship, and every time he was questioned about where the money was, he said he did not have to tell me and refused to answer me. All of the work has to be redone, the siding he put up has to be removed and replaced because it was improperly painted and the paint is falling off in sheets. Then without my permission he removed the siding from the front of the house stating it did not match the side siding. Which is incorrect and he only removed a section on the side of the house, I do have a video of the damage. . After removing the siding from the front he asked for another draw on a check. At this point I want to know where the $12,500 is and what has been paid. I only get a response all the bills have been paid. But little work is completed. I had hired Brown on advise of a friend and that is why I had paid so much up front. I keep being reassured by the supposed friend that all was ok.
The deck was poorly painted the steps that had a board replaced is out of placement and shaky. The boards that were replaced were put on with the print side up instead of down. The whole deck was to be painted only one area was stained. Several boards that were to be replaced were just patched. I now have a on my property for $600.00 because has not been paid, I was charge $1,200 fee a %100 up. Then Brown charged me an addition hourly contractor fee of $787.50.
The trees were trimmed and the Company Treez have not been paid in full the company was paid $500 of the $900 Treez charged Brown, then in turn Brown charged me $2,180. The company took down a 80 foot pine tree which was only to be trimmed at the top of damage.
I have had four siding companies come out and give me estimates on repairing the damage to my home it is now going to cost me about $14,949. for damages. I will have a statement from siding company the poor work done. left my house open to further rain damage due to holes in the side of the house, I got bats in my house and had to have critter control come out and remove them.
I was given one excuse after another regarding the work, finally after the siding was removed I went to the address on the statements and it was his home address, after his wife came to the door , called me on my cell phone when I was at his door and threatened me with trespassing I then told him that I would meet him at ?s on Road. I called the police to meet me there, because I felt threatened by Brown. I waited for the police to arrive before I meet with him.
Therefore, I want the return of my payment of $12,500 minus any receipt of payments he has maded. Plus the $14,949 damages with a total of $27,449.
