"Sent out crew same day I called to remove sink/vanity.  Several days later I contacted them to return and install the new sink, faucet, plumbing and vanity.  The day I originally called, thank goodness

asked if the tiles were set. Upon visiting with the tile guy we needed to let the grout set up before proceeding with the sink install!  They saved my floor!"

"Things went very well. I called at 10 am, and he was willing to come that afternoon, had I wished for him to do so.  As it was, we agreed on a next day appointment.   He was prompt and  professional.   The work proceded without surprises and was completed in just a few hours.  The damage wasn't as extensive as I feared.    Estimate was right on.    Also I  had a $40 coupon.  There may be cheaper plumbers, but I  don't worry that things weren't done properly."

Potential costs of a plumbing leak

When pipes running behind walls burst or begin to leak, they moisten the drywall; eventually, this moisture makes its way through the walls and produces wet spots. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Gloria A. of Hollywood, Fla.)

"The job was to install a two-stage flush kit that I supplied in an existing toilet tank. The kit may have been a DIY, but disassembling the existing mechanism and getting the tank off were beyond my skills and tools. My long-time plumber retired and I was looking for a new one. I thought I would try someone close by and that was

. The initial call was polite and an appointment was scheduled for two days later. The next day they called back and said they could not find my street in their locator. They had misspelled it, getting the first letter of the five-letter street name wrong. I pronounced and spelled it for the person at least four times before he got it right. Dual flush mechanisms are standard in Europe and many other places. But the two guys who showed up from
Louisville Plumbers Provider Name Locked
acted as if it was a bad joke. These guys definitely had an attitude and issues with water conservation. They ridiculed the idea of saving water: "I go green, I have two swimming pools." and "I go green, I run water my lawn 24 hours a day." Those were the jokes I heard. They were also speaking under there breath to each other and would not repeat for me what they were saying. They also ridiculed the parts in the kit. One guy did the work and the other, the helper, got the job of figuring out the instructions since neither of them had apparently installed this mechanism before. It was definitely scary to watch, one guy doing the work, refusing to touch the instructions and guessing how the mechanism worked; the other guy trying to make sense of the instructions by looking at the pictures but ignoring the words. I offered to run the installation video for them, but they took that as an insult. So I watched the video in steps and talked them through each step of the installation. The completed the installation and then tried to make the appropriate adjustments--by trial and error and asking me how it was supposed to work. This took them as long as the installation itself, not counting the disassembly. When they left I ran the adjustment video and found that all of the adjustable functions needed to corrected, which I was finally able to do. They took 90 minutes and charged $125 (labor only, I supplied the parts) for a job the installation video said should take about half an hour--when one knows what one is doing. They guys were not hostile, but definitely had an attitude. They did offer a useful bit of advice about getting a replacement rubber ring for the flapper ASAP in case the part became unavailable before I need it. I was definitely relieved when they left our house. I give them C for showing up and getting the work done. The rest of the experience was not very pleasant and I rate it lower.

and

were the service techs who arrived on time. They looked at the problem and knew exactly what it was...a split pipe. They replaced the split pipe/spigot and even checked my other outside valve to be sure that wasn't busted as well. They charge by the job, not the hour and were very professional, polite and knowledgeable. I would not hesitate calling them in the future for any plumbing job. P.S. Word to the wise - do not leave your hose attached to the spigot over the winter!"

"Very well. Some of the work was tricky because we live in a home built in 1940. They discussed our options in-detail before performing the work and explained the work to us thoroughly each time. We also appreciated the fact that they informed us of possible complications before the point of no return. Everyone we encountered was courteous, polite, and friendly. Always prompt and they call before arriving at the house. We have renovated our home from top to bottom and have worked with all types of contractors, including other plumbers.

"Upon initially contacting Mr.
Louisville Plumbers Provider Name Locked
, I was pleased that he was able to meet me that afternoon for an initial meeting. I explained the many projects I wanted done, putting emphasis on my basement. It was

15 and I needed it done by Feb 6 for my annual superbowl party. He tossed around some ideas and then offered to take me to two homes he'd done the bar for. My wife and I went along and saw two beautiful bars--one was a home he'd built and the other was his home (he built it as well). We took ideas from each and started a plan. In two days, he had a quote and more ideas. We scratched off a couple of his ideas but kept many more. I'm very glad he didn't just listen to what I wanted--instead he had input, really good input. Sometimes I'd tell him "no I definitely want it this way" and he'd be fine with that. Other times I asked "what do you think" and usually I was very impressed with his ideas and we went with them. His estimate was higher than I expected but not ridiculous. After seeing the work he could do, I was happy to pay a premium for the better quality. I stressed the Feb 5th deadline (the party was the 6th) and he said he could do it, no problem. We were only 6 weeks away. I was concerned but he reassured me. Once I said GO, I was surprised how quickly he started working. The walls were ripped out the next day and we were planning each phase. He would call me daily with updates and ALWAYS (and I mean always) either answer my call or call me back within an hour. His responsiveness was amazing. We didn't live in the house at the time (planned on moving in just before the party) and every time we went over there we were surprised at the progress. Anytime I asked him about the plan, he had it to the T. "Drywall on Tues, Painters on Wed, Stone is coming next Monday, etc". And the plan was always stuck to. The workers he used were nice and professional. He asked us a few times to go somewhere to pick out a stone, or a paint color, or light fixtures, etc. Sometimes we'd tell him to pick it, sometimes we'd pick it. When we picked it, obviously we liked it. When he picked it, it always worked well with our theme. Throughout the project, I was constantly throwing challenges at him. The biggest was the soda gun system. He had never installed one and neither had I. I had bought it off the internet. Well apparently they are WAY more complicated that you would think. Hook up the system to the water line, add some syrups and CO2 right? Wrong! It was so unbelievably complicated and yet he was at home researching it at night and working 12 hour days installing it. He knew how important the deadline was and I could tell there was NO way he would miss it. Not only was he ahead of schedule, but he even was able to handle all my challenges in time. My extra challenges should have added on time, but he just worked harder. When the party came, everyone was so impressed with my basement. I was so proud. About 1 hour into the party, the kegerator stopped working. I was in panic mode. I called him and asked him what to do. He was busy with his own life (it was sunday at 5pm) but he came right over and fixed it while the party was going. I mean--the guy is a champ. I can't say enough about him. The crowd cheered him as he left to return to his own superbowl party. Seriously, what kind of contractor would do that? Oh and on the final bill, there was no charge for that service call. He's not only a good contractor, he's a good guy. In addition to the amazing bar, which worked perfectly aside from the kegerator hiccup (not his fault), he also did the following odd jobs for me: Built a custom wood display area for my world war 2 antiques, built a custom stand and hookup (and installed) a slot machine I had purchased, worked closely with my home-automation installation team to make sure all the lighting was hooked up correctly, helped me on my shower redo--I had mistakenly let my friend 'contract' the work for it and he messed it up 5 different ways. Mr
Louisville Plumbers Provider Name Locked
fixed it every time. He also had my concrete floor stained, some carpet installed, two doors widened. I'm sure there were other things, but I can't remember them all. I just know that now I have a GREAT basement with an amazing bar and I couldn't be happier with Mr
Louisville Plumbers Provider Name Locked
. I actually had many projects in the house quoted by him and 2 other firms. He was either the lowest or middle on each. I feel like the basement was expensive, but after seeing those other quotes, maybe he isn't all that high. I know he is worth it though, and there's NO DOUBT I will be using him for every project in the future. I hate to sound like a sales pitch, but I really am just super impressed with this guy. If you want quality work, on schedule, on budget and a contractor that will give input, answer your calls and keep you updated, hire

"It was wonderful. He was so sweet and professional. He used booties, which I was really surprised to see. It is so funny how impressed I was with such a

thing. He took his time to do the estimate, and he was true to the price, he even found an unsafe situation and fixed it right away for me. All in all, I will only use this man for my plumbing from now on."

"I use them constantly. I went to their store and they

"I was given an estimate for the work by
Louisville Plumbers Provider Name Locked
but by the time we went to work I had made changes to the project and
Louisville Plumbers Provider Name Locked
had to redo it. He was flexible with our changes and seemed to credit and charge things appropriately. His work crew was headed by a man named Bill who was a very good worker and nice guy. He and his crew worked diligently and did all they were asked. They also recommended some changes such as a recirculator for the hot water and non freezing faucets for the outside hoses..overall the work was done pretty much on time and within budget, albeit a larger budget than I had hoped."

"Neat and clean, polite plumber. I felt he was trying to save me money. Snaked my sink drain, checked to see that it was free flowing, and then snaked it a second time to make sure the plug got pushed out of the drain line. Cleaned up after himself. I'm satisfied."
