"I have purchased glasses from
previously and have been happy with their service. I had a new prescription already, so only needed the glasses." They knew from my previous visits that I am h****** glasses-taking them on and off frequently, thus having to go in for adjustments.
recommended several pairs that might work better for me-ones more flexible and durable. I selected one and ordered them. I had just gotten my new vision insurance, so there was a small problem with the insurance company, but
was able to work through it easily. It only took about 3 days to get my new glasses which I am very happy with. They are a bit pricey but I like dealing with a local company and the people there who have been in this business a very long time, so I am willing to pay a bit more. I would highly recommend them to others.

"I was pretty sure I was not seeing well and hadn't been to an eye doctor in years [since my
surgery many years ago]. Scheduled appointment" with this provider due to angie's list reviews and was able to get new patient appointment scheduled very quickly. I saw Dr.
and was taken back for my appointment very quickly. The initial person I saw was a woman [sorry, can't recall her name] and she was very friendly and thorough and went through many of the ophthalmology exams to provide Dr.
the values and images he needed for my visit. I saw Dr.
very quickly, little to no wait time when she was done with her exams. He was incredibly friendly and explained everything that was going on with my vision. He even went back to look at some deeper imaging when I had something concerning in the first set of images. I was VERY impressed with the level of exam - felt like much more than basic optometry - truly impressive visit. I will absolutely be a loyal customer for the doctors for sure! The glasses selection is very nice, but pretty pricey. I did buy glasses from them and they came in very quickly. I would buy from them again, but I am sure you could probably get cheaper glasses elsewhere. Still, if you like a nice looking [And name brand] selection, you will enjoy theirs.

Eye Care - Optometry

Numerous factors affect the cost of an eye exam, from your choice of optometrist or ophthalmologist, to location, such as at a retail store or doctor’s office.

Absolutely you have rights to your own medical records. You may have to put it in writing and go through the offices records department. Call and ask to speak with the records department and ask their protocol.

Dr
Louisville Optometrists Provider Name Locked
reminds me of a doctor from 50 years ago. He spent a lot of
time doing a thorough exam, fine tuning my refraction, & fitting me
for contacts. He carefully explained everything in a way I could
understand. He is very calm, caring, & patient. He never rushed
& gave me all the time I needed. He was very knowledgeable & up
to date regarding my health issues. His prices are extremely
reasonable. That's one thing that brought me to his office. But the care
is the best I've gotten anywhere.

The only drawback to this place is that since it is so large it can get quite crowded so you often have to wait quite a while. This applies to eye exams, having someone help select your glasses and ordered them and even coming in to the office for something as
Louisville Optometrists Provider Name Locked
as a frame adjustment on a new pair of glasses. That said the prices are great so that is the tradeoff. The staff is very competent and friendly and the glasses are ready on the date they give you. I did have to go back to have an adjustment made and they replaced the bridge pads for no charge. I also got an eye exam and even though I did buy my eyeglasses there they gladly gave me a copy of my prescription so I could get my glasses at another optician if I wanted. The selection is large but not overwhelming and they might not have the exact perfect pair of glasses I had dreamed of they had a pair that I was quite happy with. Plus they were running a special of buy one get one free and that even applied to me buying a pair of glasses for myself and my wife got her glasses free. That is quite a good deal. We used to go to an upscale optician nearby but they got so expensive that I thought we would give
Louisville Optometrists Provider Name Locked
a try and I am happy we did as we saved hundreds of dollars. The only drawback, as I explained earlier, is that you must be prepared to wait a long time. But if you time it right - they are even open Sundays - and can go not during the peak times - you can get in and out in the same time as any other optician. All in all I am going back when I need a new pair of glasses, you can't beat the price compared to other places. I am happy that a friend recommended them, and I do the same to you.

The interactions were fine. I was interested specifically in getting bifocal contacts, and she was totally accommodating about that. I don't think she has a lot of experience fitting bifocal contacts, because it was only after I couldn't see much at all through the first two pairs that she realized my pupil size might be a factor. But she was great about trying to adjust the prescription so I'd get the best possible result. I've been to her before for regular (gas perm) contact lens and glasses prescriptions and she did fine with those.

They almost forgot to charge me for the lenses, too -- I actually had to remind them that I hadn't paid for them.

He is easy to get an appointment, and he is very accommodating. He has good hours. I got one optometrist, who is just two miles from my house, but he is actually ten miles and I go there.

The staff takes the eye measurements and glaucoma check. Then you go to the eye exam room where Dr.

goes over the results and then proceeds with checking for your prescription. She will then discuss best steps for proceeding with contacts and /or glasses depending on what you want. Then she will ask if you have any questions. She is very friendly and professional.

You get glasses in less than two or three hours. They have been in business for over 46 years. I got ‘Buy one Get one free’. So I bought one pair of glasses and another pair free. The customer service was good. They were professional and courteous. I even noticed that one of their customers was a little tough to deal with and the lady had a lot of patience in taking care of him. You can go in with no appointments. They are not very punctual because it is a walk in.

I started by walking into to VisionFirst where I was greeted with multiple computers set up in a room covered head to toe in glasses. This struck me to be the first odd characteristic of this place, I felt like I was in a cars salesman shop for glasses. Then they told me the office was on the other side, but the door was locked to come in on the alternate side. As I was walking to the other side I thought to myself why so many glasses with the technology options of today! The representatives were kind and ran my insurance. After 20 minutes or so of waiting I was taken back for eye testing. The lady testing me was nice, but more than below average for running the tests. There were 4 different tests I was ran through. First was looking into a machine and having her change the focuses, she had to run this 2 to 3 times, no problem to me but not something that can't be laughed off. Then the second test was something new! I had to look into a machine that flashed a ridiculous bright light into my eyes so they could take a picture of my retina, okay.... The lady kept whacking my head against this silly machine trying to line me up for a shot at a picture, the light was so bright it was impossible for me not to blink so this kept repeating up to some odd 12 times. If I wasn't blind when I came in, I felt like I was after that test I was seeing spots like I had looked right into a camera lens while having a picture taken. Third test was looking at flashes on a screen, and the last test was a typical color blindness test. I was then escorted to my room, where right after looking at light flashes several times she wanted me to read the lines of text, I told her most of it was blurry after those tests she still made me read it. Then she left and
Louisville Optometrists Provider Name Locked
came in. When he came in he looked irritated, we addressed each other, then he jumps to: clearly you have difficulty with your vision. This frightened me what was wrong? He then said he wanted to give me a small script. I felt kinda in the dark here, what was wrong? Why was he talking about a script a script for glasses I asked? He then said yes for you near nearsightedness. Most of this went on as me trying to get answers with him answering my feeble in quality questions mockingly. I didn't know if I had an underlying medical reasoning for my visions current state, so after asking him different questions as to the condition itself, he kept coming back to the phrase "I want to make your vision better I think a script can do it". While I'm looking at the photos of my eyes on the p.c next to me wondering why he wasn't looking at them, so he could tell me if they were healthy? I then explained to him I want to know the medical status of my eyes. He then looked at me sheepishly, oh you mean these pictures? I was going to get to that but I really think you need a "small script" cause I know you can get excellent vision with that little help. This started to run at my temper I told him I wanted to know what was on the pictures I took, he still hadn't even looked at my eyes yet. Then he told me oh well your insurance won't cover this test this is something I run I would have to contact them about it. I felt like I was duped at this point, they hadn't giving me any prior knowledge of this, it was only $35 dollars, but I wouldn't have taken it if I didn't think I was going to get valuable insight about my eyes current health, which was all I wanted to know! He then looked at the tests, and they came out clean, then he looked at my eyes. I had talked about something I had read about on blue eyes during all this, which he continued to mock me about because he himself hadn't heard of something like that, which didn't make me confine in him anymore than when he first walked in the room. Over all I wanted to get out of the place as fast as possible, I didn't want the "script" if I already got duped on my exam, I could only imagine the underline fees for their glasses.

She is accurate and efficient. I had a special request for getting glasses for a special focal distance. I am a musician and needed glasses that would cover the distance between me and the music stand, and she did an excellent job on creating a pair of glasses that covered the requirement. It is usually pretty easy to get in to see her.
