The move was estimated to take 6-8 hours with 3 trucks and a crew of 8. Our move took 12 1/2 hours and cost 216% of the estimate. We had informed the company and the crew chief,
, (who was also an owner) that we needed to be loaded and out of the driveway by 2:00 pm, as the new owners would be moving in at that time. We were told that this wouldn't be a problem. They didn't leave our home in
County until 4:15 pm! The other movers had started unloading the buyer's truck. We ended up with some of their things mixed in with ours and have had to pick up items of ours that got mixed in with their items.

The quality of the move was unbelievably poor. Thankfully, we had damage to only one piece of furniture, which they have repaired. However, our furniture was dumped into rooms and on different floors of the house than intended. There were so many people unloading simultaneously that we couldn't control the traffic. All boxes were clearly marked as to the floor and the room but most ended up on the wrong floors. Rooms were packed so full of boxes that they were completely blocked. Toward the end of the day, the owner/crew chief was walking around saying, "This is how the rich folk live." Very rude and unprofessional. the final truck was pulled into the driveway off of the
and unloaded into the 2 sheds at the back. This included file cabinets, boxes of files, and area rugs.
suggested that we hire a small crew of 3 guys to come in the next days to rearrange because it would be cheaper. I thought that I had already paid them for the move!

Bookcase and dresser hardware are missing, as well as the power cord for an elliptical. I have been told that we will find them. Having fully unpacked, we have not and have had to replace these. We also had a tool box in the shed, which has disappeared since the move. NO responsibility has been taken for the poor quality of the move.

I submitted an online claim about all of this. I have exchanged several emails with
. She cited "mitigating factors" such as 2 rain showers in the morning and the hot weather for the price of the move, She said that the move took longer because we could only load 1 truck at a time due to the driveway. Yet her estimator was at our home and saw the layout. We described the new home to him in detail as well. Again- the price was 216% of the estimate. We even stumbled upon
, the owner, about a week later as he was unloading his truck for a neighbor. He assured me that
would be in touch promptly and make this right for us. This never happened.

My husband and I have requested the
to sit down with
via email and phone. My first phone call was refused and generated one of the two emails that I received from
. In the following 2 phone calls to request an appointment with her, I was promised a return call that day by the women answering the call. I have never received a return call nor an appointment time.

In summary, we feel that we were low-balled on the price in order to get our business. The quality of the move was very poor and no responsibility has been taken or personal contact made despite repeated requests. I have moved 10 times in my adult life and have never had such a poor experience or been treated so disrespectfully. Steer clear.

The first crew who moved our belongings out, were friendly, professional, & appeared to be careful with our belongings. No complaints there. The second crew, who moved our belongings into our new home & also from a storage unit, were unprofessional - both with myself & amongst themselves. In the beginning, the "head guy" discussed the paperwork, totals, etc., and during this conversation, he mentioned, "And if you want to throw in a tip at the end, we always appreciate that." At the end, when again finalizing the paperwork, the final total was displayed and pointed to, after which he again mentioned & pointed to the gratuity portion. I hestitated to say yes & quickly come up with an amount as I felt pressured to do so. I did give all three gentlemen a generous tip, even though I did not like being pressured into it. The first crew never mentioned the subject of gratuity & I would have preferred to tip them instead. The second group also had some words exchanged between them when one gentleman left the job early. This certainly can cause a customer to feel awkward & as he ran out to the guy's car, I was a little nervous as to what was about to happen. This group also appeared to be rough & careless with our belongings as they moved very quickly to get the job done. Later that day & in days since, we have discovered multiple wooden items very scratched up & other items broken: the piano bench with large scratches; the handmade
chair (rocking chair with cradle attached) that my mother-in-law made over a 9 month period is scratched up in multiple areas; a chair of my grandmother's now has a big chunk of wood missing from the back rest; my mother's wooden sewing box given to me has a broken & missing leg, so it's now unusable; a cedar chest that was my great grandmother's is missing a leg piece & therefore sits unevenly; our office desk with a glass top has a broken wheel & therefore is too unstable to place our computer on top. There are several other scratched items as well. On a positive note, the company was willing to make the days that we needed to work, work. The office phone staff was pleasant to work with. The detailed discussion of timing, travels, breaks, etc. (related to cost) was appreciated. Overall, if we would have come out with only a couple items scratched, we would have given an "A" rating, regardless of the pressured gratuity & unprofessionalism. We are realistic and realize items shift during transportation...

I can't say enough about the hard-work and professional demeanor of
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
and
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
with A Van Lines. They arrived promptly at the scheduled start time. After going over the necessary paperwork and signing (took 2 minutes), I walked them through the house and told them what needed to be moved and they started immediately! We have a 2-story home with a finished basement so it was a major undertaking. Both men were fast but also careful not to knick the furnishings or bump the walls. They only took a 30-minute lunch break between loading up our old house and driving to the new house. They were extremely careful on the newly refinished hardwood floors in our new house and even asked me about putting felt on the bottom of the chair and table legs before they put them down. I truly appreciated this because I was also unloading boxes from our rental truck and wasn't thinking about all of the instructions that I wanted to give when they arrived and started unloading. Needless to say - these men worked efficiently from 8:45a - 5:30p on a day that started with rain and turned hot and humid by the afternoon. They never complained. They were polite and even upbeat while working. I would have this 2 man crew over any 5-6 person crew with the attitudes and work ethic that they exemplified. I would definitely recommend A Line Vans and if we ever move again, they will have our business.

The staff was extremely courteous and I feel that I got a great deal on the truck. I was able to rent a large truck for the same price as smaller trucks. I requested the rental online and input pickup and return times, the guy at the desk told me I could return it later than the time I had requested for no charge which worked out great for me and my roommate. The staff was also thoughtful enough to remind me to hang out the receipt so that I can use the expense as a tax deduction. I will use the service at Bardstown Rd again and will recommend to my friends.

We totally enjoyed working with
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
's on our move. It is a real family affair, which we really appreciated as everyone was helpful and professional. Mr.
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
came to our home to give us the estimate. We had looked at the big van lines but didn't want to have to use a shuttle service to get our furniture out of our condo into a small truck and then reloaded onto the big van. Even though the
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
moving company is affiliated with North American Van Lines, he quoted us on using a smaller truck, which was all we needed. An added plus is that we knew exactly when our furniture would be delivered. We scheduled our move for early March. As luck would have it the weather was pretty bad the day of the move and the
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
's were very accommodating in rescheduling for the next day. The next day we were able to move and the 3 able-bodied men came to load up the truck. It was a messy day, but everything got loaded to our satisfaction. Two days later we had our furniture in our home in Bluffton. Mr.
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
and another man drove the truck down and unloaded. Much of the furniture was going to go on the second level. On the first trip up they used some device to help them get the item up the steps. I wasn't sure that several trips up like that would be good for the carpet. When I mentioned that, they were very willing to do it the old-fashioned way, which was not easy. I really appreciated that. In the end, we had some minor damage to a dining room chair. The claim was settled very quickly (we did take out full coverage). I had planned to take the chair to consignment so getting a check for a replacement was even better. I would definitely use them again.

They were professional on pick up day, the delivery time was more of an issue as they delivered a day later than they called for delivery due to a vehicle breakdown which is understandable. Overall it was a good experience.

I received a couple of recommendations for
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
for my small move, and their estimate was lower than others I received. On moving day, they showed up right on time and moved quickly and carefully to get the van loaded and unloaded at my new house with no damage that I've noticed. The movers were friendly and professional, and the estimate was close to accurate (about 1/2 hour more than quoted - my fault underestimating my stuff!). I was very pleased and would gladly use
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
again.

JUST 2 GUYS UNLOADED THE TRUCK......THEY WERE COURTEOUS AND DID SOME HEAVY LIFTING UP 15 STEPS TO THE HOUSE AND ANOTHER 13 TO THE UPSTAIRS BEDROOMS.

This project did not go well from the start. Our Estimator was very polite but not knowledgeable. He totally underestimated our
move. The packers were late by 1.5 hours, only 2 came when 3 had been scheduled. Head packer admitted she misread the
instructions. The packers did not leave until after 8 pm and left several large items to be handled the next day by the movers.
She asked for tips at the onset - very unprofessional and needless to say, was not given one.
The movers were terrific. They were conscientious, polite and very hard working. They received a nice tip and lunch.
An additional person was sent because of the under-estimation. Their time was estimated at $900 and final cost was $1298 and this was after an Angie's List 5% discount!
The President was contacted and needed to be followed up twice to get answers.
The storage cost was almost double what was estimated. Again, much follow up was required.
We always try to use local businesses, however, we will not be able to recommend this company.

Excellent move. They showed up on time and went to work immediately. They were professionally dressed and equipped with all the supplies needed to complete the move in a most professional manner.

I served 27 years in the military and moved 17 times while on active duty. I have moved an additional 10 times since retiring. Out of those 37 moves I would rate
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
& Storage -
Louisville Movers Provider Name Locked
among the top 3 movers
3 young men worked from 8 am until 4 pm and they ended the day with the same care and concern that they started the day. They
were personable, polite, professional and extremely careful/cautious with our belongings.
It was a newly built home we were moving into and they went out of their way to take care with the hardwood floors, rugs and walls.
