"Typically I am pleased with TWC service and the professionalism of their providers. I was in this case as well. Only issue, and this is a corporate problem, is the" price of service. Seems outrageous for the level of Internet we receive in terms of quality.

-Michael S.

"We still have the home phone and internet service with them. We tried to bundle the whole package the whole package with Cable service also, and this did not work" out. They had a hard time with the instillation, It took 2 days with this one and that one saying the problem was inside and another group saying the problem was inside. After they finally got the instillation right where everything worked properly we received a bill. They lied about the price. It was more than they had quoted. When I phoned them they said it was because we had a better package than 1st offered. We did not ask for the better package, they just did it on there own and did not say anything. At first we decided to pay the price quoted and ignore the extra charges, They cut off all services for 3 days, so I called them and that's when they explained about the extra charges being for the extra channels that we did not order. We were charged I think $20+ plus for the 3 days and would not restore any services until we pad the extra figure even tho we were cancelling the TV portion, This turned out to be a nightmare also, because when we went back to dish we had to have a new dish installed for High definition. I do not see much difference, but I guess there is some, but that is another story. This also made my Dish network bill higher I also had to drive approximately 40 miles to return the AT&T receiver via UPS. Bundling did not turn out to be a very good deal.

Internet Provider reviews in Louisville

Internet started out slow, got worse. Customer service useless. Couldn't stream any Amazon, Netflix, Direct TV. When I complained on their Facebook Page they blocked me from being able to post comments. Their service model is tossing you into a "chat community" of people with the same problems and you solve each other's problems. ...More There were over 4,000 people in this chat room when I tries to use it.

It's all bundled into one. It was cheaper to get it bundled. I've never had a problem with them. When I call, they come out and change whatever they need to change and fix whatever they need to fix. You have to wait until they open. I've not had to wait months and months, maybe couple of days. I've had to coordinate my schedule with ...More theirs. Those guys are really nice.
- Michelle C.

The high speed internet that provides is great. I've never had any issues with it. I work from home and have several computers accessing the band width of my service. It remains fast!

All of the folks on the phone and the service people were great but the product they have to work with is not. It puts them in a bad situation because they really can't tell you the truth if they want to keep their jobs because phone calls are recorded. The young man who came to the house the last several times was very nice and did a good job.

I just got a letter from Time hoping that I have been enjoying my "special monthly promotional rate", because my year is up and the $114 cost for Standard TV and Standard Internet is going to revert to the "current standard rate" of $147.85 (not including Multichannel Video Excise Tax and State GRT Recovery ...More Fee). But wait. "As a thank you for your continued business, we'd like to extend you another special offer on your services." For the next year I'll only have to pay $124.89 per month. It reminds me of how the grocery store raises the price of milk at the same time it runs a sale keeping the cost where it was before, but introducing the idea of the price increase. There is no competition to Time here. Sure, you can get programming by dish, but there is no comparison between ATT copper wire internet and cable. For an interesting read, Google: "WE NEED REAL COMPETITION, NOT A CABLE-INTERNET MONOPOLY" for a recent (2014) New article. Most people don't realize that cable providers apply varying amounts of signal compression to their broadcast which can greatly degrade the viewed image on screen. If you're familiar with digital photos which have been heavily compressed using JPEG algorithm, you may recognize the same type of patchy degradation while watching some programming containing subtle tonal transitions over broad areas. Direct over-the-air broadcast (the type you can still get with an antenna) does not suffer from this effect, nor does satellite reception). Cable companies do this because coaxial cable bandwidth is limited, and signal compression allows them to offer more programs over the same cable. What's the alternative? Gigabit Ethernet (Google that term). Also Google: " ?t Blame Big Cable. It?s Local Governments That Choke Broadband Competition" for an interesting Wired article. If you're in the Louisville, KY area, visit to help make a difference in the future of digital services. Time 's customer service has always been difficult to reach, but when I've made the connection I can say the representative has been courteous. Usually, they are just reading a script concerning whatever system-wide service blip I am calling about. Most recently, we have been unable to connect to "On Demand" which makes available recent past episodes of some programming. User interface for their program directory and DVR are primitive. Again, probably the result of not having to compete for subscriber convenience. Finally: If the TimeWarner merger with Comcast goes through, the need for competition will become even greater. Local government should be more vocal advocates for their constituency and not worry so much about the fees they are collecting from this monopoly.

I work from home and require high speed internet connection. AT&T advertises one of the higher in the area. I paid extra for the above standard internet for this reason.
I have not had a single week go by with the connection working properly. In addition to this, they lowered the speed which is not what I paid for. I am now at a lower ...More speed than I was with my previous provider. The individual on the phone with me today stated 12mbps was never even an option where I was located. so I asked for my money back for the router they required me to purchase.
He said he couldn't do that and continued to try and get me to agree to an even slower speed to fix the problem.
So, I am out 250 dollars of dropped and slow connections for 6 weeks of service only to go back to my previous provider.

done on the outside I have had recurring problems with my Insight internet and land line service took them for weeks. My modem went out the end or May and it took them 4 days to repair. I requested a credit. the bill came and my credit for 4 full days w/o internet or landline was $7.33. I called to complain about the small credit and was told that ...More it should have been $9.00 and some cents. When I stated that was ridiculous they offered to double that small amount. I verified that amount twice before I paid the bill. It showed the on the next bill as a past due amount. The service went out again and a second technician came out and repaired the down internet service. When he left I noticed that the land line had been knocked out. The tech had to come back to repair that error. The next day my internet was down again and to reprogrammed remotely. The third time my internet went down was last Tuesday. I had to wait until today for a tech. In the meantime, my land line went down. During all this, I was promised a month's credit but I got the bill and it did not compute to a full month of internet and phone service.

We called to make an appointment for Computer Solutions to come and install a new modem. We he arrived he said he couldn't do it because we lost our internet connection. Did not charge for service call. Called internet provider to get reconnected. After the Inernet provider left we started getting all the connections pop-ups. Called Computer Solutions ...More and made we made an appointment. He was late and we had to call to see if he was coming that day. He promptly returned call. He said he had gotten tied up and he wasn't able to make it for our appt. time. We were giving the choice of him coming out later that day or first thing the next morning. We took the next morning. (Our first appt. we had with him when the internet wasn't connected, he was also prompt) This one incident is the only reason we gave him a "B" on punctuality. The next morning he was on time. He came in and promptly got to work. He did everything we asked and then some. Very friendly and curtious. Worked for one hour and a half. He stuck to his original quote on cost. Would use him again if needed and would recommend him. Very professional. C Indzers
