He made some minor repairs to the molding which had begun to warp, removed the hardware, then applied a chemical stripping agent to the existing stain. He stripped and sanded

, then asked me to pick a shade of stain. He applied the stain, then applied 3 coats of varnish over the course of the afternoon. (He took advantage of the time between coats to go to lunch, etc.) After the 3rd coat of varnish he cleaned everything up and gave me very detailed instructions about how to let the varnish dry, etc. He finished sometime between 3-4 pm and told me not to close

A month after completion I asked them to remove the clear caulking and replace it with white caulking in the corners of the shower area due to some unsightly cracking of grout visible underneath the clear caulking. There was no actual damage as the caulk covered the cracks, it was purely aesthetic. Additionally, I found out later that one of the contractors working on my project had not been with them very long, so he had some experience issues. Next time I will be more proactive in checking this out before the work starts."

They did come back and clean it. It was a big job and the weather outside wasn't great.
