"It took awhile for Mr.
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
to be able to come out -- they are very busy because they do such a great job. It was worth the wait! We are delighted with our new sidewalk. Our old one tipped in towards the house and now is slightly graded away from the house, protecting our cellar from some slight water erosion we were having. I can't believe what an amazing job they did working around the A/C unit: it looks like the unit was taken out and put back in -- no hole under or around it.

"Paradigm provided excellent feedback on design details to make the driveway more beautiful. The driveway has great style without being too much with the stamping. The price was competitive and they got me scheduled right away. They worked late into Friday night to get the job done. I'm very pleased and have signed a contract for another job.

"This provider has poured at least 4 driveways in my neighborhood. One neighbor proudly showed me the high quality stamped concrete on his patio, and another told me that they had bids from 4 different contractors and his was the lowest. All the work in the neighborhood is holding up well, and no one has had any complaint.
I was very pleased with his rapidity. From bid to completion was only a week. The work looks really good. He has been in the business many years, and is very proud of his work. While I was talking to him about his work he and his wife took me on a short tour of some of their completed jobs. I was very impressed by the stone like quality of one stamped concrete job he did.

"We originally hired "
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
" to come out and replace our porch, steps, and put up a B-Dry system for a leak in the basement. The crew arrived August the 16th and started tearing out the porch and steps. Note, during the estimate, we told the company representative that we wanted the porch and steps taken out, no mention of the sidewalk leading to our additional parking in the front. The guys were here and tore it out over the course of a week. On the morning of the pour,
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
called my wife and told her that they needed to tear out the side walk to make the steps fit with the new porch. I had an issue with the way this was done, but what ever, my wife agreed to it and the side walk was a part of the job as well. After the porch and steps were poured, the company put up a retaining wall around the front of the home. We told the company they were not doing the basement after all the issues with the porch and retaining wall. When I finally started using the porch, me and my wife noticed how the porch felt it was leaning a lot more towards the road than it should have, then also noticed the steps. To make sure we were not over reacting, I called a contractor and a friend that does concrete to look at the porch. They helped pointing out these issues. The back of the porch, the side of the porch to the house, was not level, falling almost an inch and a half to the side. The grade of the porch to the front of the house towards the road was over two inches drop, on a four foot porch (code is an 1/8 inch for every foot). Several of the steps either were not the same width on both sides, or were not the same height on both sides of the step (more than a half inch difference on several of the steps). None of the porch appeared to be square. There was a hump in the porch just in front of the door, and the front facing of the porch bowed outward. After calling and talking with
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
, he stated he was going to send out a crew leader to look at the porch. After the crew leader came and looked at the porch, he stated that they would come out and replace the porch.
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
stated that they would contact us at the end of September to schedule the job.
At the end of September (Sept 30th) we called
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
to see what was going on, as we had not heard from him. The next day (Tuesday), without notice, the same two men that put the porch in showed up late in the evening, around 4pm, and started
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
hammering out the porch and steps. This went on late in the evening for two days. On Thursday, I asked the guys when they were going to pour the concrete and why they were not tearing out the steps all the way. The guys had taken a
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
hammer and have broken off the front
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
and a little of the surface on all the steps. They hammered all the porch back to the
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
off the door, not going under the threshold. The guys stated that they were not going to take all the steps out because of some issue with weight and that they were not the boss. I told the guys there that I had tried calling
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
(the supervisor) several times and that he has not retuned any calls or text. I explained to the guys that they were not going to pour the steps or porch without removing the concrete under the threshold, or removing the concrete they left for the steps. The stated "they were not the boss". My wife called and left a message at the company on Wednesday which prompted a call from
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
. When she advised that the steps and porch were not ripped out all the way, he advised it was because they were going to use it as fill. When she told
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
, as we had been advised by a number of concrete professionals, that this would eventually cause problems the concrete breaking or chipping off, he replied "okay" and when we clarified that clarified that they would be tearing all of the concrete out, he again advised "okay."
When no one showed up to work on Thursday or Friday, my wife called the office and sent a text message to
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
to advise again that all of the concrete needed to be to completely torn out before any new concrete was poured. He replied that they would be back on Monday.
ON Monday Morning (this morning 10/7/13), the two guys showed up and started unloading wood to start setting up the forms to pour the concrete. After walking out to see what they were doing, the guys stated that they were sent to prepare for the pour. When asked about the concrete under the threshold and the remaining under the steps, they stated they were her to set up forms, they did not bring air compressor or tools to tear out anything. Again I told the guys that they were not setting up to pour with the concrete the way it was, they stated they did not know and were not the boss. After a few minutes,
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
called my wife and had a discussion about our concerns.
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
told my wife that the porch "was under warranty and this is how they were going to fix it, if we did not like it, he would pull his guys off the job". She advised that was not the way they agreed last week that the porch and steps were going to be fixed. My wife told
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
that the options are for his crew to come out and fix it the right way (the way we paid him to), return our money so we could hire another contractor to come and fix the porch, or we would see him in court. A few minutes after the call, the two guys drove stakes in the ground on all corners and placed caution (BRIGHT YELLOW TAPE) all the around the porch and, and left.
I have had a contractor look at the porch before and currently, another concrete company owner consult over the phone, and both noted that the idea to do a cosmetic fix by just skim coating the surface areas would cause us more issues in the future. The leaving the concrete under the threshold of the door would eventually cause the leak that has been going on over the past year to continue at some point, as it would not be a solid piece of concrete under the threshold. Note, this is the major reason we had this work completed!
Again, All I wanted is a porch that was decent and up to code, what we paid for. The issues with the retaining wall were about the brick that was used and was resolved, but the porch issue continues. Currently you are welcome to come and look at how
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
left the front of my home (porch less) and look at why we stopped them from pouring the way they intended to.

UPDATE 10/10
My wife called the owner on 10/8 to again attempt to reach an understanding and to try to avoid a law suite that was filed after the crew pulled off the job site on 10/7. yes after the job supervisor pulled his guys off the site, we went and filed a
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
claim suit against the company. The owner stated that this was all just a big communication issue that could be resolved. We, and the owner stated that they would take the steps out and pour it like it was originally. The owner stated that we still needed to call
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
to schedule a time to get the work completed. After the call with the owner, we called the supervisor and left a message asking to have him call us back. No call back was received. The next morning (10/9) the crew just showed up and started working. I walked out and talked to the crew as they again started framing up the porch to pour over the existing steps and to see what the plans were, still no call from the supervisor. The guys on site stated that they were unable to get the steps lined up right to make it match the porch, noting that we would need a smaller step in place to make it work. The supervisor told us during the original pour that he could not get the steps to line up right without removing the side walk, and added an additional 500 dollars. So I again called the owner and discussed the issue again with him about the steps and the addition of a small step.
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
called and set up a time to meet with me that after noon.
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived late in the afternoon and discussed the job and stated that he and the crew would be here tomorrow to form the porch and steps and pour concrete. This morning the crew showed up and started working on the forms around the porch top. After lunch, the guys started packing up and told me that they did not have the forms to do the steps, they might be back tomorrow. I text
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
to see what was going on and he stated "the forms needed to do your job are on another job I have to go and finish tomorrow then I can come back and use those forms on your job, sorry for the inconvenience". To which I responded "Ok, so you are going to be poring here tomorrow?".
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
then called back and stated that he is going to the other job tomorrow, he could possibly come out and work on Saturday to get it ready to pour on Monday. I explained that it is very flustering that the plans continue to change, rain is coming and the basement is leaking.
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
stated there was nothing he could do about it.
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
call again and said that they could come back out and pour the top, then come back latter and do the steps. I explained that I knew nothing about concrete and that I was going to call someone (my friend) and get his opinion before making a decision. I again called and left a message to the owner, who returned my call shortly. The owner stated that
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
told him I told
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
he could not do the patio first, that he has received a call every day and that we were to demanding. I stated that he has received a call every day because the job is not getting done and the plans are changing daily. A three way phone call was made between the owner and
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
during the call that ended in
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
yelling profanities and hanging up. The company stated that we were to difficult and suggested he did not know what else to do.
NOTE:Me and my daughter watched the entire pour originally. No contact between truck and forms!!!! Please email or come bay to look at pictures, text and other to see how we just were trying to get our porch completed. The basement was cancelled after the porch was pored and retaining wall started!

"Did not call to say that they were not interested in doing the job.
I called them once. T/hey said that their email was returned. I gave them the correct email address. I never got an estimate. They had my phone number. But no other communication was received by fax or email or phone. I had a 22x7 porch that I wanted an estimate on for stamped concrete. I had another vendor place tile down after I did not hear from this provider.

"Overall it went extremely well. The provider explained what he was going to do. The company was also the best priced for what we were having done. We have not had any water issues since :)

"I wanted to get this quoted and completed before a graduation party in May. When I called, I wasnt even sure I contacted a business because I thought I woke the guy up. After initial awkward greeting,
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
agreed to send someone out to quote. The guy was late but at least he called me to give me a heads up. He did a very professional evaluation and suggested drainage work that I thought was the best I had heard. Gave me quote and after some negotiation paid him a $400 deposit and told him to get started. Said they were busy but would give me a call to begin in a week. I had to call two weeks later to find out if they were going to do anything. They said weather had been bad and they were behind and wouldnt be able to get it started for another couple weeks. I told them to call me when they were ready. 2 weeks later and still no follow-up and at that point i called
Louisville Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
and he basically told me that it was what it was. He sent me my deposit back. I would never give this guy the time of day to do a project.

"I had this company give me an estimate for a concrete walkway and an extended portion of the driveway. A written estimate was given. When I called the next day to schedule the work, I was informed that I had been misquoted and the actual cost was going to be more. (He forgot that there was a company minimum; although when I asked if additional work could be added to cover the raise in price, he informed me that the increased price was for the work already quoted.) While he was extremely apologetic, I was not comfortable giving them the business when my price went up over 25%!!"
F
"I called them two days ago and was told that a person would contact me about getting an appointment for an to look at what I needed done. As of this comment I have not heard from them. Called 3 other companies the same day and got call back the same day."
