" Archer returned my call first thing Monday morning and as he was with another client, made an appointment to call me at 12:30 which he did. We connected for remote access using a program which protects your privacy so that he could not connect without my permission. He checked the system for malware and downloaded a malware ...more program, which found 2 items. He also found other system problems which he fixed and cleaned up the system, all via remote. Upon checking WordPerfect he found that it was slowing down my system and was in fect defective and while on remote, went to OpenOffice and suggested either downloading from there for free or going out to buy Word Office for about $150...so I downloaded the OpenOffice. He then double checked to make sure I could still view my current documents in the new system and explained over the phone how to handle all of the other documents so that I could see them in the new program. He had quoted $79.00 per hour but he spent way more time than that on the issues and seemed in no rush and was unbelievably helpful and patient. I will never go to anyone other than

"I dropped off the machine late in the morning and they called to tell me what they had done by mid-afternoon. They had updated my drivers, removed spy ware, and optimized my settings. It ran BETTER than it was when it was new. Based on their help, I ordered 2 new machines for my office from them and plan on purchasing all new equipment from them."

"The tech couldn't get one of the computers on line (a brand new Toshiba purchased from CCity) and said I needed to bring it back to the store. When I brought it back, the store tech said the installer forgot to turn on the wireless antenna switch. Several weeks after the installation the system failed I called to schedule a return visit. After I explained ...more that I suspected the router went bad, and that I requested a replacement in the first place, the scheduler said we would not be charged for the service call (only parts). I asked him 3 times! I also asked for a different technician. The new tech arrived and installed a new router AND BILLED for a SERVICE CHARGE. When I explained what the scheduler agreed to, he said it wasn't his problem as the scheduler was a third party, not a CCity employee. I called the District Managers office twice and left messages that I wanted to discuss an integrity issue re CCity. Never got a call back."

"He had to take the computer back to his office and take everything off the computer and re program it for me. HE did a great job. There were some problems because I had to call him one time because I couldn t get a program open after he fixed it and he helped me right away with that. Then I had to call him back again for the same things and he seemed ...more to be a little annoyed. don't get me wrong though, he does a great job I just didn't know how to run it."

"Took full advantage of my inexpertise. Told me our 6-month old Linksys router was "bad" and replaced it. - . Told me my anti-virus and spyware software were inadequate and installed their own stuff on all 3 computers. - X6! Told me I needed a new modem. I dug ...more my heels in. Told me I needed to uninstall Windows XP and re-install to fix slowness on oldest computer so that it would work better and the other computers could "talk" to the printer attached to it. Arranged to come back 3 weeks later. I fixed the printer myself by uninstalling/reinstalling. Geek returned and set to work on my pc again. At one point I heard him talking to someone on the phone, saying that he had infected my computer with a virus. Gulp. Then he uninstalled/reinstalled XP without explaining that this would wipe out ALL of my files and programs. I had not backed everything up. Computer is still slow. He was repeatedly wrong about causes. Amazing salesman, though. "

"We bought the computer there so this was warranty work. We buy from them often. When we had a problem with the dvd we called and took the computer in. We had to leave it. When it was fixed they called back. I believe the timeframe was reasonable."

"I had to take it back several times. When I called to check the status, they said I had to take it to the same tech. When I was able to actually talk to a person, they said to call back at a certain time, and when I did, he wasn't there. This went on for about eight weeks. After all that, my computer still doesn't work."
