"I bought two three-hour packages as part of a Big Deal.
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
came for the first visit, and though he was here for more than an hour, gave me credit for five hours for his return visit.  In the first trip, he put the screen door back on its track (I hadn't been able to get it on in numerous tries) and evaluated the other jobs I wanted done.  He took measurements for baseboards and trim, looked at the plasterwork and baseboard repair on several walls and in the bathroom, and evaluated the garage door situation.  He then told me very clearly what it would cost in materials to do all the work, including the finish carpentry, showing me a catalog of possible trim styles, and scheduled his return. When he came back, right on time, he immediately got to work and did a great job.  He installed two springs on the garage door (which now operates better than it ever did), put in all the baseboard and trim throughout the hall, living room, and front kitchen, caulked everything, reinstalled the baseboard in the bathroom (I had a leak awhile ago, and it needed repair), patched a lot of cosmetic plaster cracks, and finished within the time I had paid for. He talked about what I needed to do to finish the plaster repairs; he noted that I could do it myself or call him if I preferred not to, and offered me a deal on painting.  We also talked about some of the other work needed around the house.  I loved that he gave great suggestions and didn't push for more work, but was more than willing to come back.  I liked the fact that he knew a lot about a lot of different things, just the way a
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
should. Can't wait to have him back!

"B & R Construction was recommended to us by a friend, they did their kitchen remodel. With all the horror stories we have heard about contractors we where reluctant to even get into this project. I kept dragging my feet and every time my wife and I spoke about moving forward I found an excuse not to call contractors and get estimates. I finally started to call for contractors to give us estimates and ideas on our planned project. Some of them never even showed up at the agreed time others gave us the impression to be really good salespeople but not having much idea about the job we really needed done. B&R Construction send out a very experienced estimator who as it turns out was also the one who was then running the job. His name was
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and he had a good understanding of our needs. The projects was well managed from the beginning to the end and we feel lucky that we found a company that cares about their reputation

"Called and made an appointment and spelled out specifics of the work - total kitchen remode.
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, the owner showed up on time.  Went over the work to be done.  Emailed him specific requirements for all cabinets, appliances, electric, etc.- emailed him completed plans.  Total waist of time - he at first didn't respond with the estimate he said he would give and then after a couple of emails from me said that he is "starting to sub contract most of our work" and he felt that was not what I was looking for.  don't know why he even bothered with the appointment when he knew exactly what I needed done.  Very disappointing and total waist of a couple of weeks. "

"Hiring
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was an exceptional experience.  He came on time, gave a fair price and stuck to it, made knowledgeable and cautious decisions, was a pleasure to interact with and did beautiful work.  We put off rebuilding our deck for 6 years because we could never find the right person until
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
.  Now our deck looks amazing and everyone who sees it is very impressed.  This guy is the real thing.  don't waste your time and money elsewhere. "

"I had a particular vision of using the fence boards horizontally, which
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his carpenter not only did to my specifications, but also created a cute front gate. He was the most competive of all quotes and the job was completed in less than a week. Since then, a few boards have popped out due to swelling, but he was quick to repair. I'm excited this is a new year (cuz I have money to continue working on the yard), so would like him to install a lawn and sprinkler system."

"I had used them before. There were some mistakes made in the construction and there were also some communication issues where things were either missing or they didn't understand. I asked specifically if they were having any problems and they said no. After they left I saw that things were put together badly and wrong. It was frustrating that they didn't speak up. I wouldn't recommend them for that sort of project. I did speak with him about the work. I wouldn't use them for that type of work. "

"Excellent experience with
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
. He arrived on time. His attention to detail was terrific. He removed the old glass door knobs and filled in the holes their removal created. He had to install the new knobs in an area above the old ones because the door was stronger in that area. When the door didn't close just right he got his wood plain and shapped the
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
so it closed firmly. He did the work quickly and efficiently. He then installed the motion detector light flush on the garage exterior stucco wall and ran wiring neatly down the inside to tie into an existing outlet. He reinforced some electrical wire connections put in about a year ago by someone else because it made the outlet safer. The wall sconce was installed very quickly and well. He cleaned up after the work and even took down our extension ladder and placed it under the motion detector light so we could put in smaller wattage bulbs that we didn't have by the time he left. He's very professional, goes the extra distance and will be our 'go to' guy in the future.

"
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was responsive from the very first email. He came to give us an estimate and helped us reconsider some plans to install some wall heaters, based on the electrical load demands. We felt he gave good electrical advice. He also built some custom plywood shelves in a storage room, working of our specifications, but making recommendations on items that affected quality and workmanship. He did most of the work at his home shop and then installed and finished the units. He is very meticulous and exact, and also very friendly and trustworthy. He put the job quality ahead of everything else. We were impressed and hope to continue using him. As he states on his website, his pricing is very reasonable."

"The project went from a scenario left by the prior contractor which was the most stressful and nightmarish thing you could imagine: no kitchen, out tens of thousands of dollars, open sewer line, bare live wires, and then having to start over at zero, to next fining
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
on Angie's List. They calmed my nerves, helped me with decisions, kept constant communications and clearly spoke to me in terms I could understand. I had dreamed of a beautiful kitchen but what I ended up with is far better than I could have ever imagined."

"We initially met
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
in June 2010 during a round of estimate-gathering from other contractors, all from Angie's List. From the four potential candidates,
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was the first to immediately comprehend our vision and could confidently state his ability to execute it. His estimated cost was relatively fair and within our price range. Over a month passed before
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
could commence the project as we agreed to supply the wood ourselves since we wanted particular-looking reclaimed barn wood. Throughout that time,
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was patient as we stayed in communication about the progress of the materials.
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
officially started our project on
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
26, 2010. The first phase entailed a complete demolition of an existing wood
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and wood patio cover.
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and an employee removed every remnant of the structure we wanted removed. They hauled away all of the scraps and left our patio and backyard clean and organized. As for the newly built structure,
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
brought in a partner who was skilled in that type of wood work and lighting installation. He also hired an experienced roofer for that part of the project. We appreciated that
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
deferred these assignments to others with specific expertise. This showed that the finished project was in his best interest - preferring a beautiful, structurally sound, and successful project. Since it had been over a month that we discussed our plans, there was a snag at the offset.
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his partner began building the patio cover in the opposite direction and lower height than we had specified. Upon reiterating our goal,
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
, with integrity, immediately recalled our first conversation and quickly recouped and regrouped. From that point forward, he made sure we were on the same page, checking with us throughout the process. He agreed that as the homeowners, we should be happy and love the project, not just 'learn to live with it.' It was apparent that
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
's goal was to make sure our agreed upon vision was executed to the best of his ability. Since we used precious wood,
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his partner took care to present the wood at its fullest potential beauty, maintaining both design aesthetics and a well-built structure. A week later,
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
returned for the finishing touches - patch up and paint the stucco that was removed with the previous structure. Again,
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
was patient as we tried to find a paint color match, which was a challenge. But
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
did his best to blend the new paint with the old, offering to paint the entire walls. In hindsight, we regret that we did not agree to that. As
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
worked on our home for the initial 5 days, he noticed our back door and gate door misaligned and practically falling off their hinges. He volunteered to fix both for us just to help us out. It has been over two months since the completion of our project - during which it survived a record-breaking heat wave and a handful of heavy rains; and it is still secure and beautiful. The new patio cover really adds an upgrade to our home.
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
and his team are hard workers who take pride in their work and skills. They are extremely reliable - in fact, you could set your watch by what time they arrived and left each day.
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
is honest and trustworthy, as demonstrated by how he conducted himself after the initial setback. He was upfront about extra costs. Throughout the process, we all always came to agreement about all aspects of the project. Without hesitation, we would have
Los Angeles Carpenters Provider Name Locked
at our home again. We easily and readily give him a glowing recommendation.
