Hvac reviews in Los Angeles

I have no complaints, what so ever! Everything was done in a timely, efficient and professional manner. They kept me informed of what was going on at all times and called to make sure I was happy with everything along the way. Would not hesitate for one second to use them again and/or recommend them to others. Several of my neighbors have used this company and have had the same positive experience.

Great experience.
Los Angeles HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very thorough, responsive and honest. He found a way to get it done within our budget. The crew was very clean and on time, and their work was complimented by city inspector. I would highly recommend this company to friends.

C&H was contracted to install a zoning system to split up my downstairs and upstairs areas, balance air flows, install 2 additional returns, install bypass, install/expand return grill, install new pad for condenser on roof.
Came over once for about an hour to fully inspect and provide quote.
Agreed on quoted price of $3,200.
1st day of work schedule,
Los Angeles HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
show up with no crews and just took the deposit. Said he did not want to install bypass damper so lowered the contract price to $2,950. Took $295 deposit and left saying he will come back the next day.
2nd day of work, did not perform any testing to see which supply hose went where, just started putting 1 zoned damper on, did not test to see if damper was working. Damper didn't work, zone system didn't work, ac blew out hot air. Blamed it on the old thermostat and left me without a working AC.
3rd day, 9AM - did not show up, after many texts and voicemails said he will come in an hour. 12PM - still no show, finally texted me and said he will be there at 2PM. 2PM - finally checked all the supply vents and said there are 2 vents going downstairs and he would have to put 2 zoned dampers on there and refused to pull the air handler out to install the damper. Informed me that he would not able to complete the job.

agreed that he would not be able to fulfill the contract and has to restore the whole house to the way it was. Complete waste of time.
Will not recommend this contractor to anyone. Came highly recommended from Angie's list. Contractor did not fully inspect system. Did not know what he was getting into and finally could not fulfill his obligations.

We purchased one of the $89 diagnostic deals on Angie's List to get our recently purchased 1920's house's underperforming A/C looked at.
Los Angeles HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was punctual and professional, he tested our system inside and out. The diagnosis for our system wasn't good and we're looking at a lot of work, but
Los Angeles HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
gave us several options of various price points to work with. We're awaiting a followup estimates on his recommendations, and if we decide to go with it, we'd definitely use

Los Angeles HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
did a great job! Their estimator was very patient and explained the process in a very

manner. They gave me a good price (compared with two other estimates), and presented the benefits of the American standard system versus other known brands, also we needed to replace old asbestos ducts that were in poor shape. After looking at various photos of their past projects I was confident enough to pull the trigger. I'm very happy with the choice I made, flawless workmanship and I also got a cool wifi thermostat- yay!

I was told to expect them around 9 am. Monday morning. They rang the bell at 9:05!
The next thing they did was to

out clean new denim tarps anywhere they planned to walk. I liked that they took care when removing all the old very dirty ductwork not to leave any little bits on the way to the backyard staging area. ...More /> I had asked Jessy how long we'd be with out any cooling and he promised by Thursday at the very latest. On Tuesday, the first crew of 3 was joined by two others to help with the install. The new equipment was operating by 3:30 that afternoon. Total time on the job, in a very cramped unfinished attic, was 2 days.
The new system is performing very nicely. Much quieter than the older unit and much better able to maintain a comfortable temperature here in the house.
26 years ago, they installed our first central air and heat.
4 years ago, they installed a Mitsubishi split-ductless system for a room not served by the central system.
I had received 3 quotes before doing this new system and Grand's was the lowest price with equal or better equipment.

Checked existing system and complaint about noise. explained noise. Although the performance of the system is suboptimal, he informed me that the age of the system and our future plans for an addition suggest a newer, quieter machine in the next year or so is probably the best solution. He was very professional and knowledgable and really checked the whole system - including the drainage under the house.

I called
Los Angeles HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
on Monday afternoon and he was able to schedule me for Tuesday morning. I told him what I thought was wrong in that a previous tenant in my guest house had disconnected the A/C duct in the attic so no air was flowing to the guest house. He quoted me $95 for an easy fix as I described but if it was more than that and required more work it would be about $250. Ended up I was completely wrong and there was nothing disconnected in the guest house. He wanted to look in the main house and even though I insisted that there was nothing in the main house that it had to be in the guest house I let them look and sure enough they found an electrical damper that was turned off. Air is now flowing and the thermostat on the wall in the guest house that never worked for 7 years is now working! And he only charged me the $95 - it was an easy fix, just a completely different one than I thought!

We have a 3800 sq. ft. house with high ceilings and two 4K units on the roof, one for each floor. In May the upstairs unit was not blowing or cooling properly and we called a company we'd used in the past. The technician pulled out some sound insulation which had fallen over the blower, said the unit seemed fine otherwise, but that he wasn't sure about a slight restriction and whether the unit might need a new TXV. He suggested to wait and see how the unit worked, and, in case it didn't work well, the company sent out a $1400 proposal to replace the TXV and do related work. Two weeks ago, on a hot day, the unit stopped working again, and $1400 seemed like a lot to spend on such a vague suggestion. I couldn't find anything about the company on Angie's List and very mixed reviews on Yelp, so we decided to make a fresh start with a different company highly recommended on Angie's List,

. A couple of hours after I called ATC, Art, who was working in our area, came by and checked the unit. It wasn't a hot day, the blowers were working, and Art said everything seemed to be working fine, but he suggested calling on a hot day when/if it wasn't working. The heat wave came, the unit stopped blowing or cooling, and Art came out the next day with his colleague Sergei. They checked the upstairs and downstairs units and took photos. The upstairs was blocked in ice, and the downstairs, though working, showed water pooling around it. From the size of the intake vents, they diagnosed that the problem was caused by the unit(s) not taking in enough air, which traced to problems with the construction of the house. This matched with our sense that the upstairs unit had underperformed since we'd moved in in 2005, three years after the house was built. Art and Sergei thought but weren't sure that the problem could be helped by installing fresh air filters on each unit, so that more air could get in. They had to order these parts but Art came back two days later, and the ACs have worked fine for the week or so since, through temperatures up to 90F. We're keeping our fingers crossed, but we would say at this point that
Los Angeles HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
is top notch not only in performance and professionalism but in communicating with customers. Art also deducted the cost of our original service call from the cost of installing the air filters and didn't charge for the visit with Sergei.

Los Angeles HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
is fantastic. Solved major problems in a 90-year-old house; returned twice for minor adjustments; easy to reach, a true professional with a great crew, and a total pleasure to work with.
