Automating reviews in Los Angeles

IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A CONTRACTOR! I WOULD STAND IN A PUDDLE OF WATER AND KISS AN ELECTRIC SOCKET BEFORE LETTING ANY OF MY FRIENDS USES THESE GUYS. They agreed to FIX my video surveillance camera system for $795. They were not able to fix my system and told me to buy new equipment. Another vendor fixed my system for $155.

then sued me in Small Claims Court for non-payment. The judge made us talk to each other to try to settle the case. He wouldn't take a penny less than $800. He admitted that they didn't fix my system and that they didn't know how to fix my system. We went in front of the Judge and the man from

I met with one of their sales people and told him of my needs. He assured me that what I was buying would take care of things. The night vision on these cameras are not good enough to submit to the Police Department. Whatever......I fell for it and I have only myself to blame.....
What I cannot deal with is the fact that I asked this person several times if there were any

extras. I was assured that there were not. I was shown that my contract required 2 payments. 1 for 50% down and the other 50% upon completion of installation. This was an absolute lie !!!!! 2 months later I received a bill for more money and my repeated phone calls to the sales person and Office Manager went unanswered. Even the promises from the billing department to look into things delivered no return phone calls. I am paying it today, because I am tired of their automated phone calls but these guys have absolutely no integrity at all.......

I am rarely they type to write online reviews but I would avoid this provider at ALL costs. I contacted this service provider about replacing our old garage door with a glass door as we are converting our detached garage into office space.

the owner of the company got back to me with a preliminary estimate of the job which was about $6800 for our type of garage (16 foot, double garage door- standard height). The price was a bit high but I figured fair as they are the fabricator and the installer. Before he will come to the house to show you samples of the glass/aluminum and get the measurements for the actual estimate, he asks you to sign a preliminary estimate that you understand the approximate cost of this type of product and in his words "just to confirm his measuring appointment".
I think they want to avoid making house calls and then people are not aware of the costs of the door which I get. So, no problem so far,
Los Angeles Home Automation Contractors Provider Name Locked
came to my house, showed me the types of glass, the aluminum and color options etc. About a week passed after this and I had not heard from
Los Angeles Home Automation Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I sent him an email. No response. I called, no response. I sent another email. No response. So, I figured perhaps this was not the scale of job they are interested in.
I started researching other providers and found one who so far has been great to work with. Three weeks passed with no word from
Los Angeles Home Automation Contractors Provider Name Locked
and he finally gave me a call. Three weeks after he came to my house. I asked him where he had gone- said he was out of town and that his "Out of Office" reply should have kicked in. Ummmmmm, great way to run a business. I explained that when I had not heard from him, I decided to go with another company.
A week later,
Los Angeles Home Automation Contractors Provider Name Locked
sent me a bill for about $700 for his "work completed". I was floored. I still cannot figure out what would justify this type of bill. Fortunately there is a law that protects consumers from this type of scam so this will likely end in small claims court for us. I hope this review will help anyone considering using this company to beware.

is very reponsible and ethical technician. He was very careful when he worked in my house. All working areas were always adequately protected. He was kind and patient to explain all of my alarm related questions in detail. His service charges were quite reasonable in comparison to big alarm companies like ADT or WESTEC.

Bill, the owner, showed up 5 minutes early. i told him what i wanted to do. he made some additional suggestions and informed me of products i didn't even know existed (programmed lights & windowshades) they sourced all the products for me, finding the best VALUES in audio and video, and put together a system that looks and sounds GREAT! 5.1

geek to operate it (tho Bill IS one - he makes it all understandable.) fast, courteous, cost-effective and PROMPT. they gave me a bid, and told me how long it took. it didn't cost me one cent more and they got done early. what more do you want? five stars. SOOOOOOO happy i found them, and I've already rec'd them to 2 friends. Bill's the bomb!

As I said, Yossi walked in (late, he had to call twice to tell me he'd be running late) and he's all charm and confidence. I was interested in the things he was proposing I install, but when I said OK, I'm talking to a few other vendors and I'll make a decision in the next few days - he said if I wasn't going to say yes to his $6,000 price then, that he was going to another potential client. I asked him to leave me a written proposal with the quote for the locks, cameras, and window film, He refused and said he was going to his next appointment. I emailed the company a few days later asking for a proposal, and I got back an email offering they would come out for one final meeting, but that they don't give written proposals. So I called and spoke to Avi who, all of a sudden wasn't so friendly sounding, and he said that they don't give proposals, and they won't be price shopped and that I should go somewhere else. I tried to explain that I wanted details of what would be installed for the $6,000 but he refused. I am amazed that they have decent reviews on Angie's list. Maybe the people that used them aren't interested in details of what they're buying, or maybe they have money to burn. Every other vendor that I interviewed automatically sent me a nice written proposal. don't use them! Sure, they love to say that they'll come up with a security plan to fit your budget - whatever your budget is. Well, I have to assume that they do that by providing the cheapest products possible - otherwise they'd be happy to explain what you're paying for.

I had been looking around to upgrade my home security system to wireless from my current wired system, and based on the Angie's List reviews, this company was one of many, that had excellent ratings. As luck would have it, while in my research phase,
Los Angeles Home Automation Contractors Provider Name Locked
offered an Angie's List Deal for complete installation, including equipment: 15 door window sensors, motion/breaking glass detector, keypad, smoke or carbon monoxide detector, and wireless remote for $49, with 3 year contract. I did some additional research and found their monthly rate to be pretty comparable to other companies. I contacted the company to ask a few additional questions before purchasing the deal, and spoke with the Manager. He was extremely helpful, and knowledgeable, working with me to make it very desirable and convenient. Installation day was a breeze. The technician was extremely prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. He worked with me to determine the best places for the sensors, and was very thorough in his explanation of all work being done.
The entire process took approximately 2 hours, as promised, and the technician made sure I had a complete understanding of the system before he left, along with the standard manuals and reference DVD.
So far, so good!
