"I never take the time to write a review simply because I don't have the time. But these guys did such an amazing job that I feel obliged.
and (or is it and ... sorry guys, I forget!) not only beat my best estimate, they did it while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and attention to detail.
I cannot over emphasize my satisfaction with their service. From estimation to completion, I did not have one thing to complain about.
Super nice (and very funny) duo will make sure you are fully satisfied with their service. As another reviewer put it simply... HIRE THEM.

"Called, they responded quick, got a bid, they answered questions, they came to measure, came to re-measure, 1 week to fabricate, then installed in 1 day. Good work."

"Excellent in every way. No surprises, nothing . Everything was out in the open at all times. Very clear communication.Workmen were punctual each day, cleaned up each day, respectful and polite. Contractor, Perelmutter, very responsive, very clear about what would occur each day. Made sure he checked with me before doing anything that required additional expenditures(like finding rusted out pipes in wall as he was installing new bathroom fixtures). Would recommend 100 percent."

"Of the 5 providers we called, one did not show as promised for the estimate, one provided an unclear estimate, one mismeasured and came back and mismeasured differently, one had only grotesque designs available and then there as , who did everything right.
Their guy came out and discussed our options, measured, gave us brochures and a website to help us decide on colors, etc, and then came back and took our final order. A week or so later they just showed up and installed it, no or fuss. No problems, and just as described.
Price among all vendors was was pretty much the same."

" (owner of ) responded to our initial inquiry promptly, and met us at our house the next day, on time. He explained our options clearly and his knowledge was evident. As we talked about the project, he suggested things that cost us less, but would work better than our initial ideas. Instead of a hard sell, gave us a list of previous customers where we could see his completed work. One was nearby and we were quite impressed with what we saw. The customers were quite happy and the work was first rate. provides only construction design, labor and basic construction materials (paint, wallboard, etc), not tile and fixtures. does not want to chose patterns, colors, furniture and so forth -- this he leaves to the customer with some suggestions, such as a tile store that he works closely with. He will also counsel his customers about materials, prices and vendors. He wants most of the materials purchased and delivered before he starts, so that his folks aren't left hanging because the shower fixtures haven't arrived. This process will take about a month. Our project was done in stages, since we would have all 3 bathrooms out of commission at some point or other. So we did the refurbishments first. Two bathrooms had their flooring and fixtures removed, paint stripped and walls sanded. All tile was left in place, as were the shower, tub and vanities. Underfloor wood was checked for rot and a few places were patched (part of deal). New vent fans installed, new lighting and fixtures. Walls re-mudded and painted. All wood work repainted, new mirror hung, some wood in built-in vanities replaced at extra charge. His workers were at all times professional, clean and respectful of the house. Duration: about 8 days, working 6 days a week. The big job involved utterly gutting one bathroom down to the studs. A non-supporting wall (and closet) was removed to create more space in the bathroom. The floor was removed and rebuilt, and all the room's plumbing was replaced. A modern shower was built, with several shower heads, tile walls, wall boxes, seat and semi-frame-less glass enclosure. New toilet, vanity, mirrors, fixtures, floor tile, fan/vent, lighting and electrical. Recessed medicine cabinet added. This part of the project took about 3 weeks. All project items were permitted and passed inspection. Two minor items required fixing afterward, and 's people came and did the fixes quickly and without issue. From contract signing, though our tile/fixture/vanity to the final inspection sign-off took about 2 months. At no time, however, did we feel occupied, abandoned or anything but in good hands. You hear all kinds of horror stories about remodel projects, but isn't one of them. It has been nearly a year now, and I'm as happy with the work as I was when it finished. We recommend and to anyone without reservation."

"We took metal mirror frame to the shop waited for the broken mirror to be replaced and brought the finished mirror home. The work was done quickly as promised."

" is one of the most competent people I have ever worked with. He's resourceful, imaginative, and has a refined aesthetic sensibility. His suggestions along the way were carefully thought out and always helpful.
Most of all: HE HAS A RESPECT FOR THE VINTAGE CHARACTER OF OLDER HOUSES.
Our new kitchen, although updated, is EXACTLY in the style of the original 1920's kitchen. The materials, the style, the embellishments and the proportions all come together to a point that it's difficult for most people to imagine that it is not original. has a great crew who are here every step of the way and are talented painters and finishers, even giving the walls (now drywall), a finish to match the plaster texture of the rest of the house.
uses subcontractors that he has worked with for years that are also talented craftsmen. The extensive tile work in our new kitchen is stunning, as are the soapstone counters, the wood flooring (designed to match exact grain, style and finish of the original wood floors in the rest of the house, the textured stucco of the exterior, the redesign of our raised roofline. The farmhouse sink and prep sink and the vintage style plumbing fixtures are all well thought out and perfectly placed, as is the schoolhouse lighting and the under-cabinet lighting (on dimmers). The cabinetry work is exceptional - period face frame construction with modern advantages such as pull out pantries, pull out cutting boards and built in seating benches with cabinets underneath.
also renovated an attic space and turned it into a a extra room. He rebuilt the staircase, refinished the floor, insulated, drywalled, ran electric and lighting, framed cabinets and hung doors in a previously unused space. He took the space and turned it into a beautiful useable space very efficiently and cost-effectively.
was referred to us by our good friends who had had a positive experience on a remodel. Based on my experience, I found to be fair, honest and caring about the outcome of the project. He has a combination of experience, taste, ingenuity and integrity that I think is rare. I would give him my highest recommendation and am please to be able to put this review on Angie's List."

"I called about their prices for .25 inch glass and .125 inch glass. I got a quote that I thought was fair and so I proceeded with them. So, I not only knew that they only accepted cash but I also knew exactly what I wanted as well as the dimensions.
Things went as anticipated. They were on time with no surprises. I know they weren't too flexible on the payment terms BUT, I already knew this."

" is excellent and he is here whenever I need something. He is outstanding and great as well. He can do all kinds of work including plumbing, electrical, and drywall work. He did a lot of work for me, but he also has a couple of people who work with him."
