" has really helped me train an older dog. I wasn't able to walk her before, but thanks to , I am now able to" walk her easily, and we are working on other training as well. I also just got a rescue dog, and the older dog really freaked out last evening when we brought the new one home. I had her barricaded in a bedroom and the new dog terrified in the living room with me. I called for help, and he came over within about half an hour - and within two minutes had both dogs under control. It was amazing to watch. He's taught me techniques to deal with both dogs, and it has made this transition much easier. I can't recommend highly enough.

"We're extremely happy that we chose as a trainer. Before the session he questioned us in detail about our home situation, our dog," and her problem behaviors. His policy is to work in our house, which was exactly what we wanted. The session was scheduled for 90 minutes but he voluntarily stayed for an additional 30 minutes. He encouraged us to contact him with followup questions, which were necessary because he gives a lot of information very quickly, and he spent as much time on the phone as we needed. Our dog is a rescue and was very aggressive to any other men who entered the house or even passed by her on a walk. She also barked nonstop when someone came to the door. calmed her down within a few minutes, and by the end of the session she was cuddling in his arms and licking his face! He told us how to deal with each of these issues and had us practice them, and we've continued to practice on our own. He provided a citronella spray, which is very effective to stop barking; now just the sight of the can stops her from barking. Two male family members have visited since was here, and his methods work very well. When guests come in, the dog is able to calm down. Then, instead of barking and snapping at the guests, she wags her tail and wants to lick them, and is comfortable sitting next to them. This reduces stress for both the guests and the dog. The cost for the session was $250; the total amount we paid included the cost of the citronella spray, a more effective collar for walking the dog, and a homeopathic solution to reduce the dog's stress.

quickly returned my initial phone call and scheduled a time to meet with me. He arrived on time and went right to work assessing the needs of me and my dog. I noticed instantly he had a special way with dogs, as my dog responded to him in a very positive way.
listened to our story, answered every ...More question thoroughly, and was very sympathetic to our situation. He then proceeded to provide detailed instructions on how to cure the separation anxiety. It's not an easy task, but he assured me there was hope. also provided the theory behind the instructions, giving me the background to make decisions on the fly as necessary. This proved to be invaluable throughout the process of curing my dog's separation anxiety.
Thanks to I have a dog that I can leave alone without any problems. I also have a dog that sits, shakes, lays down, and stays when asked to do so. She also walks cooperatively on a leash and has a healthy and delicious diet. We are even working on off-leash training at this point that will make hiking so much fun for me and my dog. Finally, shows his high level of commitment to his clients by making himself available via phone and text. This was especially helpful in the first two weeks.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to anyone considering dog training services.

Issues in the earliest session involved dog quarreling and barking (2006). In the lastest sessions (2013), with a new adoptee, issues were larger. Buster-Bravo was scared to death and a bully with newcomers to the house and (in particular) male dogs, on the street. This little dog has a chronic health condition and is nearly totally deaf but he has ...More a very intimidating bark.
Five sessions were required with my temperamental in 2013. We put a crate in the room where I worked with clients. For several months, the dog was fed there so he'd have positive feelings about being crated. He needed (and still needs) to get acquainted with one person at a time. He prefers adults and teens, and I respect that. I seldom use the crate, but I do instruct new visitors on their behaviors when first meeting BB. On rare occasions he is confined. Generally he down and goes to sleep in the room where I and my clients work.

For home training, Buster-Bravo was crated, and the crate was covered. formulated a system of rewards by the "victim" only when the dog calmed down. This required both fearful and fearless volunteers, considerable patience, and TIME. I fully believe and accept that some of the behavioral issues belong to the pet owner. Some also accrue to visitors entering the house. You don't wave your arms like a wild person or sneak up on a deaf dog! We practiced during the week and the following Saturdays, returned to evaluate our work and advance our skills.
Street training included leash training. I learned to effectively handle the dog on all occasions. One exercise involved walking past the fences where enclosed, assertive dogs lunged. I learned to keep Buster-Bravo close to me, unable to charge. He learned that I meant business. It was in the handling of the leash and nudging with my legs that results improved. We still practice to improve our skills! We continue to gain confidence, thanks to .
does not resort to violent means. With most dogs, her mere posture calms them. She uses her voice in a that is firm but never threatening. She explains things very well, suggests alternative techniques custom to the situation, and tirelessly answers all questions. She has always been available on email and is very supportive, encouraging, and ready to do further problem solving. This service has been included in the price of the in-home sessions. It is totally worth the cost!
travels Los from beach to mountains, and she doesn't end sessions if there are immediate difficulties to be addressed. THUS, she can be late. I believe that traffic and generosity are responsible for this. It is never a problem for me. is a not a . When she is late, she will call and let me know. She is very responsible about calling.
Buster-Bravo and I are doing very well. We check in with if either of us is confused. If we decide to add another pet, we will contact for help in easing the transition. In the long run she saves time, relieves anxiety, and helps pet(s) and owner(s) bond in warm and positive ways. YAY for all of us!

called back the same day, and spent a good deal of time talking to us. She asked great questions and was forthcoming about options for this guy. Made some suggestions we could start acting on, and gave us an idea of what kind of commitment we should prepare for if we go ahead and keep this older dog and train him. It turns out ...More she is not in our area, but she gave me a referral to another trainer as well as a vet hospital.

came to my home and assessed both dogs' behavior. My older dog isn't the problem, the puppy is, but they both needed to be checked. simply watched them, and his thoughts about the dogs were pretty accurate. He told me how he worked, and that he never uses anything but positive reinforcement ...More in training. He showed me several AMAZING tricks, which made the dogs understand that I was the boss. I can now put treats on the floor right in front of them, make a signal, and they will not touch them until I say so. If they are barking, I make this signal and they stop! I also ordered a citronella collar for the barker, which has worked incredibly well. is going to come again and we will work on the puppy's aggression with children (we just have to find some to sacrifice...). Quite simply, I am amazed at his way with my dogs, and how well he understood them, and how I needed to change my behavior (I'm an RN, and a mother, which he said makes me too nurturing for the dogs and they take advantage of me!) Can'[t wait for the next visit from !

From the minute walked in the door of our house, I could tell she was going to work wonders with our dog -- she sort of had that 'doggie whisperer/connection,' immediately took notice of her and when she spoke, he listened! came from the streets and while not some crazy ...More wild dog, he just didn't know ANYTHING about rules of the house (seriously, not even 'sit'). He also was pretty naughty on the leash, tugging and barking at other dogs -- this is not a desirable trait in a 72lb dog! I purchased a series of sessions w/ and even though we are not even half way through them, I'd have to say my dog is a completely new and improved and wonderful dog. He knows several commands, is BRILLIANT on the leash (just this morning we passed by three different sets of yapping dogs and he didn't even flinch) and is so well behaved that pretty much anyone who meets him can't help but comment on what a good dog he is. has a wonderful sense of humor and is a great trainer of dogs -- and their humans!

We have had visit and walk our dog for a couple of years now, so she is definitely part of our family. Needless to say, we are utterly relieved and thrilled with her and her services. She is trustworthy and dependable. The most important thing - our dog loves her. He was a ?rescue? that came to us with a few issues, and with ...More her love of animals and training skills, he is much more secure and calm. She has gained his trust and ours!

Great! and the other folks were friendly, professional and reliable. They always show up on time, are neat & tidy and tire the dog out. They are great with the dog and completely trustworthy. We use them on a regular basis, and couldn't be happier.
