"She was good at follow-up and remembered when I walked in the next time. She didn't act like she had never seen me before. The center has women doctors and they treat women. It makes you comfortable in that environment. The staff is friendly and professional."

"I have been seeing him for few years now. He is easy to talk to. His office staff is very nice and sometimes I have to wait to see him. I can talk to him and ask questions. He is very perceptive about that. I have never needed to call him after hours. He no longer accepts my insurance but he works with me in terms of payments. "

Los Angeles Family Practice Doctors Reviews

"Dr. Gruenn was my primary care doctor for approximately nine years, from 2000-2009. He was always nice and ?seemed? to know what he was doing so I thought he knew what he was doing when he prescribed me bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). Unfortunately for me, he did not. His BHRT protocol ultimately gave me endometrial/uterine cancer.
The sequence of events are stated below.
Though I had taken other BHRT protocols previously for four years without any problems whatsoever, I decided in 2006 to go on Dr. Gruenn's protocol. (Please note that I had had an ultrasound, though not at Dr. Gruenn?s request, shortly before starting his protocol and it showed that I had a normal uterine lining.) Within six months I started to have pre-cancerous symptoms though I was not aware of it at the time.
By 2009 I had to go to the emergency room as I had profuse vaginal bleeding. There I was diagnosed with endometrial adenocarcinoma aka uterine cancer which is caused by excessive estrogen exposure aka estrogen dominance. Subsequently, I had to have a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy (all of my female organs removed). I am now being tested every six months for five years to see if the cancer has moved to other parts of my body because excessive estrogen/estrogen dominant-based cancers are very dangerous and can produce many other types of cancers. (BTW: I have no history whatsoever of female cancers in my family, and I have a large family of many aunts and female .)
I showed a very highly respected compounding pharmacist the prescription Dr. Gruenn had given me, and he stated "That it was a prescription that would produce endometrial/uterine cancer." Even the National Cancer Institute states that the main risk factor of endometrial adenocarcinoma is ?hormone replacement therapy for the effects of menopause.?
Dr. Uzzi M.D./O.B. GYN., states on page 119 in his book Natural Hormone Balance for Women that ?A once-a-day dosage is a flawed concept for progesterone replacement. You will some of progesterone?s protection if you ?t take a refill after twelve hours. I want a woman to have around-the-clock benefits.?
Dr. Gruenn prescribed me E2 0.58/E3 2.32 estrogen cream to be used topically 1 in the morning and 1 at night (no days off), and the critical cancer protecting progesterone just a once a day, an oral of 100 mg taken in the evening. It is well known amongst creditable, educated BHRT doctors and compounding pharmacists that 100 mg of progesterone taken orally converts to an actual absorbed amount of around 40 mg?s. So, not only did he prescribe me progesterone just once a day but also prescribed an inferior form of progesterone (for absorption) that actually afforded me only about 5 hours of progesterone protection a day against excessive estrogen instead of 24 hour progesterone protection that is mandatory in BHRT for the effects of menopause and that creditable, educated BHRT doctor?s prescribe their patients against excessive etrogen/estrogen dominance. Thus, Dr. Gruenn?s BHRT protocol produced a very estrogen dominant/estrogen excess environment in my body which caused my cancer. HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HE WAS DOING!!!
I even asked Dr. Gruenn, about six months after I started his protocol, about Dr. Uzzi ? aforementioned statement in his book which I read to him verbatim, and even though Dr. Gruenn purports to be friends with Dr. , he told me that ?You ?t need more progesterone. What I have prescribed you is fine.? No, Dr. Gruenn, it was very far from ?fine?!!!
Additionally, Dr. Gruenn did not take the proper preliminary steps before starting me on his BHRT protocol. He should have had me tested for my:
1) Estradiol level for an estrogen baseline.
2) SHBG to further determine my estrogen status.
3) A recent physical and gynecological checkup, breast exam, mammogram and smear.
4) Pelvic ultrasound to learn the status of my endometrium. (Actually, I did this on my own ? the point is that he never asked me to get an ultrasound.)
And, Dr. Gruenn did not take the proper steps for monitoring me while I was on his BHRT protocol. He never asked me to have any blood/ /urine tests to determine my hormone levels which should be ordered every 3-6 months after starting a new protocol, and thereafter every 6 months for the entire time one is on BHRT, nor did he ever tell me to have an ultrasound of my uterine lining once a year - all the above of which creditable, educated BHRT doctors demand or they will not continue prescribing BHRT because it is malpractice to do so. In fact, Dr. Gruenn kept prescribing me BHRT without any testing whatsoever through 2009.
If you are going to Dr. Gruenn for BHRT, just know that you are putting your life at risk in doing so!"

"Interviewed Dr. and three other well regarded local physicians prior to the birth of our son. Found ourselves feeling very comfortable and reassured by Dr. G - he has a great bedside manner, keeps up to date on the latest medical research, and uses reasoned best practices. Have seen him 4x now for visits - and the initial impressions have proven out. He's always easy to get a hold of with questions (email address provided and quick to respond) or to see for appointments."

"There are a team of doctors and specialists who are really good. They all know me and coordinate very well. They take personal interest in me and find out about me personally. Thy treat me in a very humane and understanding way as a person, not as a number. They give very effective and efficient treatment. I have never had any problems including getting appointments. I can use their website to communicate with them or email the doctors. "

"He is a great listener. He is almost always correct in his diagnosis. He is a no-nonsense guy; he is conservative about treatment. He doesn't send you to a lot of specialists if he doesn't need to. He has a great sense of humor and has kept the same price since we've been going to him."
A
"As usual, the wait time was minimal and he always greets me with a friendly smile. He re-tested my blood pressure, discussed my cholesterol and my other conditions. As usual, I am very pleased with the care I am receiving."
