The work was expertly done by the owner of the shop sooner than the due date, and at a lower price than quoted. Job was quoted at $80, but I was charged only $60. The owner said it was easier than he originally thought. Amazing. Oh, and he did an on-the-spot repair on pants that I brought with me when I picked up the curtains.

To me they were
and unfriendly - acting like they really didn't care if they got my business or not, and I wasn't able to consult with the actual tailor, only someone who quickly pinned the pants in a manner that was impersonal and automatic. But I was already in the Galleria and didn't want to bother with going elsewhere for alterations. The work was done when promised - more than a week. The alterations were satisfactory, though the hem in one of the pant legs came loose after 3 wearings (I had it fixed at my local dry cleaner's, at less than half the cost). I was shocked by the high prices for such basic alterations - perhaps the high rent mall location made that necessary.

the owner ( I have included his email, and contact info on the previous page) is a great guy who is the owner/operator. This is a full service operation with great parking and great hours. They do a great job with my shirts, and stain removol on my pants. I think their alteration dept. is second to none. I can never see using another dry cleaner.

I need all my clothing altered and I bring everything to
Los Angeles Tailors Provider Name Locked
. He's fabulous. Not only does he do a great job but he makes wonderful suggestions on how to make each garment fit and look better than I thought possible. I've never comparison shopped price or turnaround time, but I can say I'm always satisfied with timing and never feel bothered by the price.

and his staff were very professional, honest, and accommodating. I had several items of clothing altered. The work was done properly for a fair price. I had the sleeves of a leather jacket altered for $25. I needed to have the hem of a silk gown taken up and the straps altered in time for an event several days later. The work was done nicely and on time, which I greatly appreciated. Because I was pleased with the work done, I returned with several other items of clothing to be altered. Again, I received an excellent work product at a competitive price. I highly recommend

The sewing of 2 throws consisted of two fabrics, chenille on one side and 'tufted' polyester on the other. The space between the four edges of the rectangle and the rows of 'tufting' was to be equal. When I came back to pick up the completed project, the edges were not pressed and therefore did not lie flat. And, the spaces where they had to turn each throw 'right side out' where top stitched, not blind stitched and therefore the edges did not have a consistent look. When I made another (otherwise unnecessary trip) back to pick up the throws, they had not been finished. The blind stitching was done, but they where not pressed. (I never asked to straighten out the rows figuring by now these people where already incapable.) Since I did not have more time to waste I paid $60 cash and planned to press the edges myself. I was so exasperated I neglected to check the rest of the work and when I looked closer one of the corners had melted fabric!

They did a great job on everything, but they tend to want to make things very snug in the waist, so you should be sure to try stuff on and ask them to adjust to your comfort. They work VERY quickly. I wouldn't call them a "fine" tailor and probably wouldn't bring really high end garments here, but for hems and most alterations you can't beat the price. Be forewarned, the location is a little funky, and parking can be tricky - if you have to pay $5 to park in the lot that's closest to the shop, it doesn't necessarily pay to bring one item here.

I found out about this shop via Angie's list when I needed to shorten a new jacket. The proprietor was very considerate and did a good job on the jacket. After this, I had her also shorten two new pairs of pants (one lined). She pinned up the hems (eyeballing them rather than measuring), but both came out very well.

My experience was absolutely awful. I returned 3 times for my final fittings because they weren't done with my dress. They asked me to bring my maid of honor to learn the bustle. My maid of honor drove over an hour to get there and they hadn't even started the bustle. The second time she came, they were only 1/2 done. They were only working on it in the hour before we arrived! The third time it still wasn't finished, and I had to pick up my dress one week late and only 3 days before my wedding. My complaints were met with dismisses and they just made excuses. The alterations for the sizing were well done, but the bustle was absolutely horrible. It broke before I even was able to bustle it. It was not designed well and couldn't hold the weight of the dress. I ended up saftey pinning and holding the train of my dress during the reception. I'm extremely displeased

Terrible in every way. When we returned for the second time and told them to rip out the hems and not do any further work, the owner was not even particularly apologetic, though he did give us back our money. We're still waiting to see if they can rip out their bad seams without damaging the fabric permanently, several days later.
