"The installation of my solar water heater went wonderfully. The installation crew (
and ) were very nice and informative young men. They explained to me what was going happen during the installation and what I could expect from start to finish. The installation went exactly as they said and when they were finished, they cleaned up so well it looked like no one was ever there. Also, before they left they sat down with me to explain how the system worked, etc., slow enough for me to take notes. I am very pleased with the whole experience I had with ."

"Absolutely the worst experience in professional heating and plumbing in Las Vegas you could imagine. STAY AWAY from this company at all costs. They are bait and switch artists and will try to force you into a situation where they can get paid (more) for a new unit rather than handling the service call they were requested for.
Long story short...
1. Water heater leaking in garage so and Cooling called out by our home warranty service for emergency Sunday service call.
2. Representative from and Cooling, Mr. , arrives at the home. He looks at the water heat for 30 seconds, confirms it is leaking and says, "I need to check the warranty on this unit".
3. After 30+ minutes sitting in his truck, from and Cooling returns to inform me that a) although the unit itself is under warranty, b) although he has been called to the home under a home warranty, he CANNOT fix the unit until the next business day, Monday "because we have a warranty". He claims to have no access the warehouse on the weekends where these units are stored (are you too wondering why a weekend technician would NOT have access to the proper equipment on a weekends?).
I could have probably lived with this until...
4. Mr. of and Cooling says to me, "if you didn't have a warranty I could have this fixed for you today". Stunned, I repeat back to him to make 100% sure I understand correctly... he CANNOT fix our water heater BECAUSE it's under warranty yet at the same time he can fix it today if I DIDN'T have warranty? With a straight face he confirms yes this is the correct. In short he wanted to sell me a unit from them rather than handle the service request he was called out for.
It is this type of ridiculous logic that deserves a boycott from any consumer (individual or otherwise).
PS - adding insult to injury, Mr. who specifically promised to shop-vac the water out of the leaking basin ends of not doing at all and left saying he would be back tomorrow to fix the under warranty heater under the home warranty. I walked back in the house stunned and angry that there are companies that actually do business like this.
In short, if you are looking for quality plumbing, heating and cooling with professional common sense service DO NOT use this company."

"I discovered that my was leaking at around 10:30 am. I pulled up Angie's List and found . I read every review and was completely satisfied that I would be provided excellent service. They did not disappoint. I called for service at approximately 11:00 am; left a message. They called back within minutes!! They provided a preliminary estimate over the phone and promised a technician would arrive at my home within 1 1/2 hours. Well, was there within 45 minutes!! He installed the new and provided some helpful tips about how to extend the life of the new heater. He took away the old heater and cleaned up the standing water. Finally, gave me a form to complete in order to obtain a $100 rebate from the gas company. All of this in just a matter of a couple of hours from first notice of the leak to completion of the installation. I am, indeed, very impressed. I can't say enough about how completely satisfied I am with . I spent many years providing customer service myself and as such, I have very high expectations in this regard. I will definitely refer potential customers to them."

"I have a service contract with them and I am happy with them. They came on time and the service man did not look like a zombie. The guy was personable and friendly, he seemed competent, and he answered all of my questions. He told me what needed to be fixed, he explained my options, and told me how much it would cost, but he did not pressure me. On the plumbing side, I am less happy. When the guy came to check my water heater, he told me that the anode rod needed to be replaced so I had him do it. I was charged about $250 but I got to thinking about that so I called a plumbing supply house and found out that anode rods run for about $35. That?s the last time I will have them change an anode rod; I?ll learn how to do it myself. On the HVAC side, I am very happy. "

"This is the second time I have used in the last year (you can see my other review in Angies List) for a plumbing issue. My mother called me at 5:45 in the morning yesterday and was frantic that there was water all over the garage floor and they had no hot water. My mother is 69 my father 85. I could sense the fear in her voice. I hurried to their residence and immediately unplugged the circulating pump, shut water off on the top at the valve and shut off the gas to the water heater. In a panic my father had shut the water into the whole house off. I went to their computer because I knew from my previous experience with and Woody that I wanted him to take a look at it and got his phone from Angies List. I waited for a bit because it was 6:20 in the morning. By 6:50 AM I had to call and was nervous to be honest to wake someone up that early. He answered the phone... which stunned me, it was not an answering service or a voice mail, it was Woody himself and he was not annoyed as I had feared. I relayed who I was, asked if he remembered me and indeed he did. I explained the situation to him and he replied "I can be there at 9:00 am to take a look". He checked everything out, speculated that it might still be under a MFG. warranty but regardless needed to be replaced. We discussed all our options I even inquired about going tankless and he had information about that as well. In the end we decided on just replacing the 50 heater, upgrading some parts and replacing a ten year old circulating pump. Woody turned back on the main water line into the house so my parents could use water while he went to obtain all the parts. Woody and his son returned later and worked from 10:45 - 2:45 to install the new water heater. All the while Woody and listened as my 85 year old father stood by and told them stories about anything and everything he could, his many years as a teacher, his time in WWII, and even about parenting. I watched as would listen kindly to my dad and at the same time help his dad as he needed. Woody would often stop and give careful attention to my dad out of respect and kindness which was heartwarming to see. I am certain in the back of his mind he had a lot to do and most likely other jobs scheduled but never once did he make my father feel as if he was bothering him as he worked. He encountered a few troubles but always had a solution and was constantly educating as he went. He too adjusted the PSI for their one story home, discussed two pipes that were full of corrosion in the adjacent laundry room which my father asked him to come see while Woody was in the middle of working on the water heater and never once seemed to be bothered or impatient with my dad. The new water heater was installed perfectly, he set the timer on the circulating pump for my parents and inquired about their schedule so that he could give the pump a rest daily but be sure their hot water needs were met. He showed them how to adjust the temp. on the heater and wanted to make sure it was set appropriately for the house. He made sure there were no small children (grandkids) that might be burned if it was too hot and made sure neither of my parents were diabetic with regard to the heat setting for them. OMG! Seriously???? With everything to do and consider he remembered to make sure they were safe. I cannot tell you in words really how lucky I am to have discovered this exceptional, hard working, caring, knowledgeable beyond excellent plumber. There is no one else I would ever call for service but Woody and for our homes. It is not possible to have this many happy reports unless you are a rare kind in this business and that is exactly who and what he is. A rare gem. Thank you Woody and when you get the estimate to fix the pipes in the laundry room at my parents, I will see you again...unless something else goes between now and then! :) Our sincere thanks... , along with and Gar."

"Called about 0815 a.m. left message. got a callback within 5 minutes and told him the problem. he gave recommendation on type of and quoted a price. made appointment for 1030 a.m. and was very prompt. was very professional and made it look so easy to replace the when it is very hard work. finished within 2 hours, hauled away old unit. thanks to Angie's List for the recommendation/feedback from others. Made the ordeal not so much of an ordeal! extremely satisfied with service."

"The gentleman on the phone was professional and well informed. He said that it was because of sediment in the tank and that I could flush the tank myself. He detailed the procedure and assured me it was easy to do. Probably another company would have charged a service fee to come out and see if they could fix it.
I just wanted to include this in the file for those people who have other problems that don't require replacement."

"The service was terrible. First of all, the earth-quake straps were not installed correctly, one came loose the next day. I called the next day. They found that the water line was not connected properly, a different technician found this. It took longer than normal to get a permit from the city for the installation. I called the city and they informed me the permit was issued when the company said they had not gotten it yet. It seems that the company would let the permits build up and pick them up once a week, which caused delayed installation. I would never use Home Depot for any installation of any product based on this experience. I wrote Home Depot's headquarters in Atlanta documenting all of the problems and never received a reply. The water heater has had no problems, just the installation was bad. Could've gotten a better price and better service outside of Home Depot."

He is very informative, keeping the home owner abreast of what is going on and how things are progressing. He answered all my questions in an easily understandable manner."

"To my chargin one morning in going out to pick up the paper, I see water flowing at a pretty good rate from under the garage door. I instantly know what's going on, a busted .
After getting over the intial shock (knowing I'm going to have to spend $$), I logged into Angies List and found Water Heaters Only, who had glowing reports, 15 of them I believe and gave them a call, later that morning. (it didn't hurt that they gave 5% off to Angies List members).
They said that they could come out that morning, about 10:30 AM and that Southwest Gas was rebateing back $100 as a part of a program to get folks to upgrade to more energy efficient models. Sounded good to me and I agreed on the work being done. It was shortly after 10:30 and I hadn't seen them yet, and got a call from the actual guys that were going to do the work and they said due to traffic that they would be late. I appreciated the heads up on that. Since I didn't have to be any where it wasn't a big deal.
The guys got out to my house and were clean and professional. I got the garage door opened, moved my truck and they got to work taking the old heater out and putting in the new one. It took about an hour to do the job, which is what they said it would. They also gave me the instructions and a form to mail in to get my rebate from Southwest Gas. They said to purge the water lines of air by opening up all the faucets in the house and wait about an hour and I'd have hot water. Great job done by all.
PS - I just received the $100 rebate from Southwest Gas, a couple of weeks after the install, so it's for real. Not sure how long the program will last, as I'm writing this in early August of 2010."
