Psychiatric Care Reviews in Las Vegas

I paid the doctor the requested fee, as I had signed his forms earlier stating that I was financially responsible for the visit. He does not accept insurance. His receptionist tried to set up his required next appointment for the following month, which I did not do. I was still in shock about the "treatment" he recommended and the absurd claims he made about it. Later that day my husband sent him an email, and the doctor called my home at 9:40 P.M. that night. The men discussed the "treatment" plan suggested, the method of acquiring the product (through the doctor's own web site from which he profits with each refill), and the doctor agreed to refund my payment. I received a check for the full amount of my payment in the mail a few days later. He could not credit my VISA, which is how I paid him, because he said he didn't know how.

A phone call to schedule my visit with Dr.
was foretelling of the experience I would have in his office. I called several times and left several messages on the answering machine, and after several weeks I did not hear back from his office. I became frustrated and used his nurse to reach the scheduling line. Scheduling times were several weeks out and the staff seemed distracted as I tried to make my appointment. When I went to the office for the first time I arrived 45 minutes early and signed in at the counter. The waiting room was chaotic. It was loud, noisy, and uncomfortable. It was disorganized chaos. The time I spent waiting was not relaxing in any way. Finally I was called to the receptionists counter after 1 hour (15 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to start). The receptionist had me begin the process of filling out paperwork for my first visit. I finished the paperwork and returned it to the receptionist, then I waited an additional 2 hours until being called back to see the doctor. 15 more minutes in a small room and the doctor entered. He sat down and began asking questions from a small rickety desk 10 feet away. I introduced myself and asked him who he was. At this point he looked upset but introduced himself. We discussed my condition for 3-5 minutes, during which he answered a phone call and discussed another patients condition in front of me. After his phone call he hurriedly scribbled out a prescription and handed it to me as he opened the door. I told him I had some questions about the medications and it's side effects. He told me he would answer them as we walked out. As we walked down the hallway, discussing my private medical history, he greeted others as I asked him questions about my condition and other possible treatments. His answers were short and unhelpful. He dropped me off at the check out counter and walked away leaving me uninformed and frustrated. I was truly impressed by his unprofessional-ism and general lack of care for my mental health. I left the doctors office with a great deal of frustration and have never returned to see him again. And I will never set foot in his office again. I have since found a doctor who's knows how a to run a schedule and is willing to engage his patients, discuss treatments and answer any questions I may have.

Psychiatric Care reviews in Las Vegas

He will pretty much give you whatever meds you say you have been on and doesn't appear interested in initiating any changes, even if he sees you are in distress. Takes no time to get to know you or your psychopathy (other than taking your word for your diagnosis). I stay with him out of convenience and because he is covered by my insurance. If I really need a change I will talk to my therapist and primary care physician.
