"From the moment when I scheduled the first appointment, to seeing the initial design and proposal, revisions to design for budget purposes, to signing the contract, then start and completion of the project I could not have been more impressed with the professionalism, attention to detail and accommodation for my every concern along the way.

are great to work with, they explained every plant, and how it would grow, the irrigation system is awesome also. I have and will in the future recommend this company to anyone who is in need of landscaping, or pavers.

"As someone who managed major projects in excess of a million dollars each for over 36 years, I must admit that I approached this project with some trepidation. It was going to be the largest home re-modeling project in terms of dollars that we had ever undertaken and I knew I was going to have to use the same project management criteria and skills I had in business to assure maintenance of the budget and schedule. I had found in the past home contractors did not like to do that preferring to handle things like schedules and estimates and scope of work very informally. As I interviewed a range of contractors, as i suspected most did not like the formality I wanted to use. Only two were willing to consider managing the project correctly. Of these two contractors, we chose L&W initially because we preferred their design. We talked up front before we got into details of how I wanted to manage the project and they were very receptive to the idea. Once we agreed on a design and signed a contract, L&W worked with me to help produce the necessary documents for submission to my Home Owners Association for project approval. They stayed in touch through out the approval process so that once the project was approved by the

, they were able to commence work within a week. Once work began, there was a significant sized crew (4-6) at our home every day at 7:30 a.m. They worked continuously and took only a nominal 30 minute lunch break. The worked until about 4:00 p.m. every day. On about half of the Saturdays, they worked as well after making sure it was OK with us. The foreman would review what they hoped to accomplish each morning. The owner visited the job approximately every other day. When the foreman was uncertain about something or had an idea he thought would improve the design, he checked with us to get our OK. When we had ideas or found a few things done incorrectly, they addressed the problems very professionally. Despite a large scope of work, we still had a defined budget. L&W was very good about respecting that budget. When there were changes in scope, they worked with us to minimize the cost. They did not use changes as a source to just increase their cost. When a change occurred, L&W representatives would explain their costs as well as any credits due from the work that would not be done as a result of the change. Their pricing for changes was extremely fair. I have always believed that a good contractor is not necessarily a contractor who has nothing go wrong on a job. A good contractor is one who, when they have problems on a job, works with his customer to resolve the problem to everyone's satisfaction. Nothing could better describe the L&W organization. Rather than leaving the site with even the smallest remnants of construction debris, they spent the last day on site picking up even the smallest pieces of debris (<1/2 inch). When L&W started, our backyard looked like a gravel pit with a swimming pool in the middle of it. When they left it looked like something from Better Homes and Gardens or HGTV. We could not have asked for a better look or a better company to work with in executing this project than L&W. We have already started working with L&W on the design of a front yard re-landscaping project to be installed next spring.

Revitalizing masonry and brick in a historic home

While searching for new homes, Brad Begle and his wife, Mary, instantly fell in love with the interior of a newly remodeled Victorian-era home in Lincoln Park. However, years of faulty repairs on the outside of the red-brick 1880s home had left the exterior in poor shape.

"They were courteous and quick, but it seemed like the job might have been on the small side for them, so they didn't even give us a written estimate. It was just verbal. They were very responsive. "

"The project was estimated to take about one month and it turned out to be two months. I wasn't crazy about the delays but they methodically did it properly and step-by-step. I love working with Sione because he's a big guy with a great sense of humor. He also is the last of a craftsman making his client's homes not only look beautiful but building it to last, even if it might cost a couple bucks more. Plus, I had some changes to make and he made those changes willingly and without gouging me. Where can you find that today?! Overall, I will continue to use

"New Era Wrought Iron did high quality work for me. They really knew what they were doing and cleaned up after themselves very well when they were done. I had a couple of minor problems with the two gates, but the man come right out and fixed them both. They did a follow up call just to make sure everything was working well."

did a very good job on our wall. The grout is even and there were no cracks in it, and everything was level and straight. He had a helper with him and was able to do the work in about 4 days. It looks awesome and they did everything the way I wanted."

"They did a real good job and cleaned up very well. It was a big job and they did a lot of work. The cost was six thousand dollars and my insurance company paid all but five hundred dollars, which was my deductible."

"
Las Vegas Masonry Contractors Provider Name Locked
did a very good job initially and said that any repairs needed within a year would be included in his price. However, after a few months, when it needed repair, we called three times and spoke to the owner's son. His father called back once and said he'd be out, but never showed up. That was about six months ago."

did great job on my wall. I like their work so good that I am going to have them put up another wall for me. The crew was very accommodating to us. I liked that they kept me involved in the process and they made sure that it was to my liking."

Licatta from

was recommended by friends, and he did an excellent job. He has many years of experience in this sort of work, and wasted no time completing the job. It only took him three days, and it looks better than the stucco treatment performed by the original builder on other walls. He was very clean, and quite reasonably priced."
