" The contractors name is
Kansas City Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his company is
Kansas City Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
& Remodeling. This project started around August of 2010. A roofing and siding job that was supposed to take around 2 weeks to complete has turned into an 8 month nightmare that is still not complete. He has been giving me the run around for months and has now stopped taking my calls. He told me in the beginning, “I have never screwed anyone over a day in my life”. I have learned the hard way that he was lying.   Before he even started the new roof and new siding job, I paid him up front for all the materials so he could get started, which was understandable, assuming he would complete the job. It took him about 2 months to finish the roof, he would tell me everyday that he would be out the next day to work on it, and then he would never show and never call to give me his excuse for the day. After work I would get home to find nothing has been touched and would call him and ask him what is going on. He had an excuse each time I would ask this, one time he broke his foot, one time the materials flew off his truck, one time the materials were on back order, one time he had to move because his mother kicked him out, one time he had ‘issues’ with his children….the list of excuses goes on and on. I tried to be very patient with him and be very nice to him since he already had my money. I knew if I made him mad, he could just walk away at any given minute, which in the end he did anyway. Eventually he finished the roof, which made my skylight leak; we never had a problem with the skylight leaking before him. I asked if he would come and see why it was leaking and he said he would but never did. My husband had to go on the roof and fix it himself.   He started the siding job in the same manner as the roofing job, never showing or calling, always an excuse. He probably worked on it a total of 5 days over the course of 2 months. The siding job is still not completed and the contractor has stopped taking my calls. He already has my money for the materials that we have not gotten to finish the job, and I asked him to just please reimburses me for the materials and I will have someone else finish his work, but he never responds to my calls.   Now I am stuck with a partially sided house, a yard full of waste materials that he never cleaned up, and am out about $1,000 in materials that I already paid for and have never received.   I am writing this so nobody else will be screwed over by this man; he is untrustworthy and unreliable. We have a contract with him and he has not fulfilled his end of it and at this rate, never will. Please do not make the same mistake I did in hiring him for your contractor."

"We had water coming in to our bedroom through the ceiling light fixture. We thought it was a leak in a flat roof.

came out right away and explained that it was ice dams, what to expect, and possible solutions for the future. He didn't charge for his visit and didn't try to sell something not needed. He was great!"

"It was my pleasure working with
Kansas City Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
. Not a single day goes by that I do not say to myself how grateful I am for his wise counsel and partnership. I liked his work so much that 3 years later, I hired
Kansas City Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
to remodel my attic/

room. We added a master bedroom, sitting area and full bath (shower) upstairs. about $25,000. The carpet is showing its age, but everything else is perfect. I love it still."

"In the beginning everything was going well. The owner was very helpful and gave us an estimate quickly. However, they would not give an exact start date. So we were not sure when we could or could not park in the driveway. They also came to do repairs later without letting us know. We were a little frightened to hear someone on the roof when we were unaware of anyone coming. They cut away part of our siding without telling us and then did not repair it for a month later. They did not fix the siding but just attached a metal piece underneath where they cut away. The gutters downspouts were repositioned with out explanation. They were willing to fix it, but it took numerous tries and a lot of time and appointments, before they would come or do it properly. In the end they completed the job, but it took many appointments, and lots of time cleaning the yard of debris, trash and lots of nails. Be careful letting kids or pets outside after they leave."

"
Kansas City Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
was one of four estimates.
Kansas City Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
mentioned that he only used American roofers. He originally said he could do the job in two weeks but by the time I received my last estimate he said he was backed up three weeks. As it turned out, a week and a half later he called and said they could start on Monday. The shingles didn't arrive as planned, so they started Tuesday and finished early Wednesday afternoon. The job site was a big mess considering all the work they had to do but they cleaned up very well when they were done. No complaints at all and highly recommend."

"It went quite well, except that the materials were delivered a day early. Our car was in the driveway, so they left the whole package on skids in the street. No problem; next day we moved the car and they got to work; the guy with the lift just had to make a second trip. Crew of about 7 or 8 guys showed up, very polite. They started about 8 and when I got home at 6 they were finished with the roof. It looks great, no problems. A few days later he came back and did the gutters. He checked with me many times to get exact details on where I wanted things. The installation of the gutters, covers and drain pipes is all very nicely done. Right about now the leaf guards are starting to get their test. By now the old gutters would be full of leaves."

"Overall everything went well and as close to planned as possible. I was very impressed by the coordinated effort between all of the companies who worked on this project. I appreciated that

came by to do a final walk through to make sure I was happy with the final product before payment was expected."

"While they were responsive and professional in the presentation of their product and services, the work was VERY badly done. They did not put flashing, cut the shingles unevenly and right at the
Kansas City Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
of the roof. This has ultimately caused alot of damage to the wood. When I requested flashing after the job was complete (I'm not a roofer and yet did know that flashing should be there) I had to send letter after letter and call multiple times. Only when I threatened to go to a TV station, did they finally react. They did come out and put flashing, but I found out later that was poorly done as well and they did not put everywhere as should have been done. As the damage began to become apparent, I had a roofer look at the job and was advised that it was very poorly done and why. I've had another roofer out as well and he could not believe how badly the job was done....he was shocked. Of course, it's too late to go back to
Kansas City Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
now. I would NEVER recommend anyone use these guys. Not in a million years.

"From the time the estimate was given, I believed I had a complete understanding of the process and types of material to be used. I was provided with options, buffered with recommendations, but it was always my decsison. Consultive sales approach was used at each step of the process. Weather was taken into consideration and I was given notice prior to when work would begin and it started on time. One day and the old roof was "cleanly" taken off (my neighbor has "gutter guards" on his house which did not have to be removed). The crew made little to no mess by carrying the removed shingles to the dumpster rather than shoving them off the roof, into the yard as I have seen done at other jobs. Clean-up was minimal. All monies due, were explained in detail, there were no surprises!"
