Kansas City Pet Groomers Reviews

"I had picked up a coupon for this pet store from the place I board my dog. The owner of the place I board said she had heard that this place had a good groomer. I did not have a problem getting an appointment for the following week. I dropped my dog off, met with the groomer and told her what I wanted. When I came back that afternoon to pick up my dog the groomer asked to see me. She told me that some of his fur had been matted and she told me how she dealt with it and suggested how I could take care of it between grooming. The grooming was good and I'll use again if I can not get an appointment with his regular groomer."
"I was referred by a co-worker. I called at the beginning of spring when it is very busy for pet groomers. I arranged an appointment for the following week. They asked me to bring him in between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. This works well for me because I drop him off before work and they have him ready at 5:30 after I get off. They do a beautiful job and Smoky always looks and smells nice."
"She is the local dog whisperer! She is absolutely amazing. My dog is very hyper and he mellows out when he goes and he looks great. She does very high quality work."
"Excellent! I spoke with the groomer (

) prior to making an appointment. She was knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. She has almost 20 years experience grooming cats! We discussed my concerns with having my older cat sedated for the grooming and she answered all my questions and assured me that she would do everything possible to avoid this. I dropped my cat off at 7:30 AM and they were ready and waiting. Intake was very painless. They called my regular vet for the vaccination information so I didn't have to bring in copies. They had my cat ready at 4:00 PM as scheduled. The cat was clean, dry and brushed out as requested."
"Took my older long hair cat to be groomed by their grooming salon. They got me in right away. The groomer was pleasant and the intake was pretty painless. The said they would be done by 11:00 AM and would call when she was ready. They never called to tell me that the cat was ready. I called them around 11:00 AM and they said I could come pick up the cat. When I got there at 12:00 PM I watched the groomer attempt to brush out the cat before she put her in the crate. She was not handling her very well, held her under her right arm, facing away from her, and tried to brush out her groin and haunches with her left hand. The cat gave several warnings and then bit the groomer. Needless to say the grooming was never completed. The haunches were still matted when she got home. The groomer obviously needed more training working with cats."

has been grooming dogs for our family for 15 years. we've been without a dog for the last 3 years and have just recently added a new dog to the family, so I am renewing my relationship with her. She is excellent with the dogs, is very kind and caring, and does a very professional job. She goes out of her way to be accommodating with schedules and really tries to work with you. She is a real treasure and my family is so happy that we have such an honest and caring person to leave our animals with."
"We always love

. My puppy loves it there. We have had her boarded there in the past, and she always has a blast. Every time we go in, the throng of doggies runs to the gate to see who is joining them. I understand they have pools and everything. They just moved locations, and I have not yet seen the new digs, but the women working there always knew my dog by name and seem to love every one of the animals."
"I felt their signs was misleading and wound up paying way more than I expected to for a haircut and bath. The work was fine. The first thing I noticed was that the staff was

, bordering on rude. I didn't realize until I returned to pick up my dog that the price was higher than I expected. They were not at all interested in my feedback."
"While the end product, my dog's fur, was quite satisfactory, I won't be using

again. The owner is very nice and attentive, but many of the employees were rude. The last time I took my dog there, he was the last dog there and the employees practically kicked me out the door before I even had a

to put his collar back on. We were not running past their business hours. Plus, I came to realize that the dogs, many of whom are there all day, do not have access to water."
"My dog is a rescue dog who was abused and dumped, so he's very, very sensitive. Needless to say, I have become one of those people who fret over their animals, and I have had trouble finding a groomer that didn't see my dog as just yet another dog to shampoo.

and her staff are sensitive and kind to the animals that come into their small shop, and my scared little dog actually loves to get groomed now! They don't always answer the phone, as it is a small shop, but are usually good about returning messages in a day or so."
