"I felt very comfortable with Dr. Omlor right off the bat. Although he wasn't terribly friendly and didn't seem very interested in fussing over my child, he came across as" very competent. He took a long time (at least 30 minutes) to ask questions and to review medical history before deciding on a course of action. There were times where he sat and looked at his notes for 2-3 minutes in complete silence. Rather than annoying me, this actually reassured me. Too often I've seen health care providers who have a pre-conceived notion of what the problem is and don't even bother to consider alternatives. Dr. Omlor ordered a barrage of tests (videofluoroscopic swallow study, reflux study, allergy tests). He was really thinking outside the box about all the things that could possibly cause a chronic cough. (He also told me that if none of these tests found a cause and the asthma medications didn't help my child, he'd consider a referral to a GI specialist and a bronchoscopy. Luckily we didn't need to go that far). As a result of these tests, we ended up finding several problems, any one of which could cause a chronic cough. We began treatment of all the issues. Within a few months, the cough was resolved. Dr. Omlor books up fast. The initial consultation only took a couple of weeks to schedule, but follow ups are booked months in advance. However, the doctors always return messages within a day or two, so I still give them a "B" for availability. The pulmonlogy "family" feels very small.... I love the staff. All in all, I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Omlor. I feel he went the extra mile to really try and get to the bottom of my child's issues. He's a great listener, a critical thinker, and all in all, a wonderful doctor.

is great with kids and it is clear he really likes what he does. The office also runs very smoothly and there is usually a minimal wait time.

"While Dr.
can be difficult to get along with - gruff bedside manner, he LOVES his patients and insists on doing the absolute best for each of his patients. I" believe my son would not have returned to ICU so fast if Dr.
had been involved in my son's care prior to leaving the NICU. Dr.
has been instrumental in making sure we have the healthiest son possible!
