As a locksmith, what are some of the services you provide?

Brandt: "We focus heavily on automotive, but we also provide a full line of services with commercial and residential, as far as keying and rekeying."

Goetzfridt: "Anything and everything to do with locks."

Brownback: "We do lockouts, safe work, rekeying of houses and we do commercial work too."

How do you charge?

Brandt: "Typically we have set prices for set jobs, but there are many things that aren't within the standard, and we charge for the time involved with those."

Goetzfridt: "We do a trip charge, and it's based off the radius. The further out we go the higher the trip charge. There is no hourly fee and we charge per lock."

Brownback: "We don't do distance. We have a service call and then just based on the project."

What's the average fee for customers locked out of their house, their car or their safe?

Brandt: "If they're locked out of a house or car and it's within our standard service area and it's daytime, it's $48."

Goetzfridt: "On an average lockout, it's probably $45 for a home and car. Safes are a little different. There's not really an average."

Brownback: "$40 is typically our service call for safes, houses and cars."

What makes you stand out from your competition?

Brandt: "Each of us has about 30 years' experience, and we try to be very conscientious about what we do. We deal extensively with automotive keys and electronics that have to do with automotive keys."

Goetzfridt: "We're basically a family-owned business - most of the employees are family and even if they're not related, they feel like they're family. We're very easygoing and laid back. Our customers take priority."

Brownback: "We're honest and we're prompt; when we quote a job and we say we'll be there, we're there."

Do you have any advice for people who lock themselves out of their cars or homes all the time?

Brandt: "Deal with a local company, not an out-of-town company. This is a huge problem on a national level. Scammers advertise with very large ads and deliberately take advantage of people."

Goetzfridt: "Get spare keys made to your house and to your cars."

Brownback: "Get duplicate keys! That's the big thing, especially with cars."
