met with us to discuss our project and spent a good amount of time listening to our goals for the yard as well as issues we wanted to address-soil erosion on the hillside being a major concern.
up plans for us to look over and worked to include some of our existing plants in the new design.
Once we decided on the project,
and her team kept us informed as they worked to get rid of old plants, including a stubborn section of zoysia grass which delayed planting in one area.
The team dug out and removed excess dirt from the hillside and installed a new stone retaining wall.
They put in the plants, mulched around them and kept us informed about progress.
was always quick to respond to our questions and very helpful with plant care suggestions for helping the new plants get established. It was a big project and we were very pleased with the results. So are the neighbors! They stop all the time to tell us how much they like the new yard!

Our yard was a challenge because we had not kept it very well maintained for 25 years. Not being a gardener and knowing that I would need plantings that wouldn't require TLC, especially with three dogs romping around, I explained that we wanted a yard make over that looked attractive year round.
came up with a design that met our needs and seemed reasonable for all of the work that it would take. She thought of foliage color for different seasons, water requirements, sun vs shade, even plants what would attract butterflies and hummingbirds! She would email me in the mornings to let me know when they would be coming over. We plan to continue using "
" crew for monthly maintenance to keep it looking as attractive as it does now.

I took two hours off of work to meet with him and he didn't show up or call. Called Lawn & Landscape Solutions to see what the problem was and that I was running out of time. They assured me
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
would call me right back. He never did. I would have everybody think twice before calling this company for future work. What a joke.

It went great, like all Garden Services it was weather dependent, but
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
was easy to reach and work was done in a reasonable amount of time. My Garden looks great. The best way to get a hold of
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
is to text him.

I had them originally do some landscaping. I was very pleased with the work. As a result, I decided to have them come out the following spring to do some pruning, mulching, fertilizing, general cleanup to keep things looking nice. That went fine for a couple of years. In 2014, I decided that I would not have them perform this service. I contacted them in March 2014 to let them know only to discover that it was too late to cancel for the 2014 services. The original contract I signed back in 2012 had a rolling one-year clause. If I did not notify them at least one month before the new one-year period started (which was based on the date I signed the original contract), they assumed I had agreed to the services and they had me on the schedule.. Unfortunately, I had signed the contract in March so I would have had to notify them in February. I agreed to pay $125 as a penalty fee to get out of the contract for 2014. This is my fault to not remember the terms of the contract I signed previously, but I think they could be more up-front and notify you each year that you need to cancel by a certain date. I think they would be okay to use for one-time projects but you need to be vigilant if you use them for any ongoing maintenance services. Read the agreement they ask you to sign carefully. If you can be organized enough to keep track of your "cancel by" date, then you might be okay using them. I haven't decided if I will or won't use them in the future. If I do, I definitely will only sign for the specific project and will not sign another open-ended contract.

I worked with
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
recently on full landscaping of my front and back yard including tree planting, shrubbery, lighting, a water feature and more.
I had SEVERAL issues working with
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his team.
1. On the lighting, there were several wires left exposed and on the side of the house the new wiring system was not even tacked appropriately to my house. I was stretched out across my WATER FAUCET (this is a live electrical wire) and the wire was stretched so tight that it was up off the ground. Then it was just laying on the ground with no attempt to cover it.
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
(the owner) claimed that they did not do any of this.
2. Two of my lights were broken as they were shoved into the ground. We discovered this as we were going back through and fixing all of their errors.
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
(once again) claimed that they did not do this. I asked him if not them, then who did? He said he didn't know.
3. One of my other lights is already not working. We are going to have to replace it and it has only been there for about a month. This is the second light that has stopped working so far.
4. The lights in the back were not tightened down properly so that the would continue to shine on the same area. The heads were so loose that they just flopped all over the place. We had to tighten that ourselves.
5. They left a big pile of extension cords all in the middle of the backyard. They could even be bothered to
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
them away anywhere.
6. Three large bags of our expensive mulch went missing from our backyard. I don't think they took them purposefully, I think they just thought they were theirs. They should have been paying attention to what was theirs and what was ours.
7. One of the lights in the front was placed right in the middle of a bunch of large plants. Essentially, this means it shines nowhere and we are going to have to move it.
8. They addressed some issues with my front porch but after a second opinion we found out they used the wrong kind of filler. We are having it redone.
9.
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
and his team CONTINUALLY made decisions to change things without notifying me first. Then
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
got very defensive when I was upset about it. He would get almost annoyed/angry with me that I was irritated. He kept telling me how hard he was working to make me happy. Apparently, I was just supposed to be happy with whatever they did.
10. The fountain in the water feature they put in my backyard was not installed and set correctly and it keeps falling over. We are going to just purchase an entirely new and larger fountain and set it in better ourselves.
11. I asked him to tack rope lighting to a large tree in my backyard and they simply bought a couple rope lights and strung them around the tree sloppily and they completely slid down. We already addressed this and tacked them to the tree ourselves. Although I'm sure
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
charged me for them to do this.
******12. When the work was completed (according to them, I hadn't even seen it yet)
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
had the audacity to run my credit card without my knowledge or consent. I am pretty sure this is illegal. *******
13. I explained to
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
NUMEROUS times many of these issues but he mostly claimed that it wasn't them that did it. He never made it to my place when I was home to review his work with me because he was always too busy. He also just kept telling me he would get to my house eventually to fix these issues but it's been weeks and he has never made it. He keeps telling me he's too busy. I have finally asked him to not come back and we will fix everything ourselves.
He is VERY patronizing and argumentative over text/email/phone. He talks back to the customers. I've literally never seen anything like it from ANYONE I've ever worked with. If the customer is unhappy, and as long as it is within reason, the company should bend over backwards to make it better. I don't think asking him to replace broken lights, hide wires that can trip people, and fix electrical wiring problems near a water source is that unreasonable.
I asked for an itemized receipt and he has yet to produce anything. The only invoice he gave me simply stated what he charged and what I paid.
DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THE WORK IS MEDIOCRE AT BEST. THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE INVOICES AND IF THERE ARE ERRORS IN THEIR WORK PREPARE FOR THEM TO DENY THEM AND/OR TAKE WEEKS TO COME BACK AND FIX THEM. YOU WILL LIKELY WAIT FOREVER, FIX IT YOURSELF, OR HIRE SOMEONE ELSE.
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
IS PATRONIZING TO HIS CUSTOMERS AND MAKES THEM FEEL LIKE THEY ARE BOTHERING HIM WHEN THEY ARE REPORTING PROBLEMS.
He is VERY, VERY, VERY difficult to work with as a person.

See above commentary. This guy,s attitude is a reflection of his "business worth" - zero! We are elderly people and this guy thought, in my opinion, that he cold deal with us in this manner _ disrespect!

The owner,
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
, gave me a professional and informative consultation. I found his prices a little higher than I expected but the stone edging, flagstone stepping stones, and Ozark rock are very beautiful and were worth it. Things started off great but, unfortunately, quickly took a turn for the worse.
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
got confused about the size of the rock and 5-6 tons of large Ozark rocks were delivered when what we actually wanted was medium. I work from home so I was there when the rock was delivered. Rather than coming to me and letting me know he'd made a mistake,
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
chose to accept the delivery and he and his crew promptly unloaded the truck. I can only assume that he didn't bring the mistake to my attention immediately and made the choice to accept the delivery because he didn't want to spend the money to send the truck back for the right size or to delay the job. When I say the rock was large...I mean large. The rock is pretty but the pieces were just too big and awkward to walk on and the size was not proportionate to the overall look. Plus, because the rock is so big, you could see the matting below. So
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
's solution was to mix medium and small rocks in with the large rock to compensate and add more stepping stones to walk on. I was willing to work with that. So when they came back in a couple of days, I expected the problem would be taken care of. They wrapped up around 2pm that Friday and rushed out of there so
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
could get one of his crew to an appointment. As he was leaving, he told me the rock would look better if I hosed off the dust and told me the name of the rock in case I needed more. I thought it was a bit unprofessional to expect me to hose off the rock myself since it was part of finishing the job and to basically tell me if I needed more rock to buy it myself. He also mentioned in a nice way that the job was costing him a lot more than he'd intended. No real concern about whether or not I was happy or that the look wasn't what I was promised. I lived with the rock for the weekend and spent hours moving smaller rock around to cover spots where I could still see matting around the big pieces and then finding that the places where I was taking the rock from were also bare. I emailed
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
that Monday and let him know I wasn't happy and I wanted more small rock to fill in the many, many spots where I could still see matting. He didn't seem as friendly as in the beginning and again reminded me of how much the project was costing him but he accommodated me and sent some guys out there within a couple of days to add more small rock and take out some of the larger rocks. The quality of the products used was the best part of the project. The design is beautiful and I'm very happy with the outcome. The only reason why I wouldn't use
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
again is because I didn't appreciate not being consulted about the mistake with the rock size until after the fact and
Kansas City Landscapers Provider Name Locked
's attitude about it when I pointed out that I didn't get what I was promised.
