I got my service installed last year and the serviceman showed up in the window and was very pleasant. I got my internet hooked up and they helped me test my router and modem that I purchased myself. I've been happy with my connection. I've only had a few outages but I've been able to call in and get help and even got a call back when service came back up.

we've run into lots of issues with

's customer service. When problems arise, we have been given the run-around. Nobody seems particularly concerned with keeping you as the customer. The DVR that we received under contract is OK, but it is more limited than devices we've had with other providers (Cincinnati Bell in Cincinnati). Our cable service is pretty good, but we find that when we first turn on the TV, the selected channel is unavailable until you switch channels and then move back. Our service was quickly installed, but only after the technicians were several hours late and after several calls from us. If you have a viable alternative, I would seriously consider looking elsewhere. Otherwise,

It gets worse every year. The price never goes down and the service gets slightly worse every year. I call about the problems 2 or 3 times a year but the situation never improves. In fact, in spite of all my phone calls, service worsens and the price rises every year.

. I am moving & wanted to cancel my service on my moving day & they told me I can't close out my account until I return their 2 cable boxes to Lenexa. Otherwise, they continue to bill till they get them back. I have never heard of this.I buy phone, internet & cable from them - I spend $192/mo with them & have spent way to much for years.
When I asked the customer retention person for the supervisor, she left me on terminal hold & transferred me to some rep in another dept.I'll take time to go in person to return their stinking boxes DURING MY MOVE and then tell everyone on earth what a crummy company they are.
I guess that's one way to retain business - don't cancel service when the customer needs it cancelled. Just continue to bill whether they can accommodate your ludicrous policy or not.They stink. I'll never say a good word about them again. I'm just sorry I didn't switch sooner. They don't deserve a dime of my money . . .

My internet service went out on 5/16/09. I thought it was due to a storm, but when it wasn't up the next day I called and let a representative know of the issue. It was never fixed, so I called every day for the next four or five days and kept being told different things each time. I was busy all the next weekend, then called the next Monday again. I was told that the entire issue had resulted from an

and behold, the next day it was not fixed. I called in and canceled, and requested that my billing be adjusted so that I not have to pay for the week and a half without service. They actually rolled the bill back one month to appease me, which was cool, but I still canceled and began service with a different provider. If you are looking for customer service,

I had six visits from time

teams over a 6 week period. Never the same team twice. No team got clear on what the problem was, or understood how the existing cable was installed. Each blamed the other for not fixing the problem. I finally paid an electrician to install the needed cable above the drop ceiling. Now I'm going to be fighting the bill, since they want me to pay from the day the first installed came on site. I would not use them again, if I had a choice of cable providers.

We had some repair work done requiring a new line and it has been draped on the neighbor's fence and on our lawn for the last 2 months. I would quit these guys in a second if I thought I would get the same service from another company. The it stuff is fine, but the follow up is terrible.

So why are we leaving them? We can no longer justify what we pay for what we get. We am in a very low price category as internet/cable bundles go - only $54 per month. However, not that long ago (say about 16 months ago), we paid $31 per month for more. We're not TV hounds. We prefer to pay way less for cable and spend the money on going out to experience live performances in the company of people like us - out creating our own "reality" instead of watching it on a screen. So we signed up with TWC for what I basically called "reception." It included TBS, WGN, ION, WE, and a handful of cable local channels - a local weather station, channel 2 - local government, and CAS - "classic arts showcase" (which we just love). This combo was just fine for us; it improved reception, saved us from the dreaded digital box, and gave us just enough options for our viewing habits. The problem is the price kept increasing (to more than double now) as the channels started dwindling. First WGN was cut, now we've been notified ION and CAS will go digital and we have to add a box at an additional charge if we wish to keep it.
In the meantime, one of the satellite providers has offered us a package of OVER 140 CHANNELS for FOUR DOLLARS MORE PER MONTH. But wait! For the first year, we'll get an additional $10 off per month, meaning we'll increase channels six-fold for $6 less per month for the first twelve months, and $4 more per month thereafter. We would be FOOLS not to get so much more for our money!
I will say, however, that if TWC ever goes to a "cafeteria plan" that would allow us to choose, say" our top ten or twelve must-have cable channels for a comparable rate, we would do with a lot less than 140 channels to have exactly what we want at a price that allows us to keep our monthly cable bill low so we can splurge on happy hours and dancing shoes.

Our service went out (which in truth is not all that unusual) so I called. I was told there was an area wide outage and it would be fixed as soon as possible.
This run around went on for two days after which time I was told the area wide outage was fixed (but no one could tell me when or what caused it) but now there was a problem with our equipment. Earliest they could get a tech out was five days later. So - seven days without internet, phone or cable. Unacceptable. I'm a student who relies on online access as well as someone who conducts all my personal business online. I called another provider who is hooking me up two days earlier than
