"She focuses in on details that others do not. She works well with my other doctors to help with my rare condition. She is the best infectious disease doctor I" have found in 7 years. None of the others were able to diagnose my problem. She is a friendly, nice caring person. I cannot say enough good things about her.

"I switched to another Dr never go here again. I never saw Dr. . I believe he stuck his head in my hospital room" one day to let me know that he had no info and would have to look over my chart. After being released from the hospital I had to miss 2 infusions because I had to wait so long for my appt. When I finally got in, I saw the PA. She had not read any of my records and when I questioned that I was told they're was a lot of info to read. She was unable to give me culture results which I know were available. I questioned why she was altering the of antibiotics from what I was getting in the hospital. I explained that a vancomycin trough had been done while I was inpatient and the was adjusted, if she would only look at my chart. I was told "we do this every day, we know what we are doing". Between missing doses and the lowering of the , I started to deteriorate quickly. At this point I called my surgeon and had then switch my to the ID doc I saw last year for the same problem. Their waiting room is filthy and smells. The infusion room is a little cleaner but I would not them to change my PICC line drains in there - definitely not clean enough for that.

His nurse set up all the appointments with the hospital, which was great. He did a tremendous job. He keeps working on it until the infection heals. He takes your concerns seriously. He has a lot of patients so you will have to wait. He has also treated my son recently. They see patients in Monroeville and .

I have been going to him for eight years. He takes time to listen to what your symptoms are and what you are experiencing. He minimizes medications but uses it when necessary. He believes strongly in letting the body heal itself and councils in that direction. He is a great diagnostician.

He is the best. The office is run very smoothly and everyone is very friendly. They are very helpful and will go out of their way. I went in there and could barely walk. They are punctual and he is effective and knows what he is doing. He is an excellent doctor.

He is very good at his job. He found things like my double pneumonia. I have been to 3 or 4 doctors but they didn't find that. I had shingles and some kind of infection in my jaw and he found all that, and made me okay after 6 weeks in the hospital. He is very good at what he does. He is very thorough and he knows what he is doing. He is very good ...More for that kind of doctor. If I ever get anything that the doctor doesn't know how to treat, I will go to him. I have never been to his office. He came to the hospital to see me everyday, sometimes twice a day. He was very punctual.

My internist had recommended me to Dr. . He was able to see me the same day and they got me in immediately. He treated me right away and followed up with me to ensure that the infection was completely gone. Their office was one of the most amazing and efficient that I have ever been to. Dr. is extremely ...More professional and spot on in his diagnosis.

Dr. Arakere is THE best ID doctor you could hope to find. She is kind and sensitive. She spends plenty of time with you, explaining everything that is going on with the patient (my son), the tests needed, the results, possible treatments and allows you to have imput on what treatment will work best for the family, all along having the final word, of ...More course.
My son has had an ongoing infection for many months, and at first she tried conservative treatment, then when the infection returned, she treated him aggressively, with IV antibiotics at home. Her office staff is thorough, everything was coordinated with home health and Dr. Arakere was available at all times if we needed her. When my son was hospitalized during treatment for surgery that was not because of this illness, she still came by and talked to us.
He is currently being treated with oral antibiotics for six months and is doing well, and it is all due to her care and her wonderful skills as an ID specialist. We are so happy our general surgeon sent us to her, she was the best thing to come out of this episode.

The nurse and the PA KariI had several international trips planned to Europe and . These were my first overseas trips and I did not know what vaccines I needed. I called and was able to schedule an appointment withing a week or two. This was fine as my trips were two months away.
I met with the PA ...More Schoenwald and discussed the countries I planned on visiting. We reviewed my vaccine history and what was missing for the countries I was visiting. She was very good about telling me which ones I needed and discussing why I might or might not need others. I felt very good about her bedside manner and how she listed to my situation and gave me what I needed, without wasting money and my arm on shots that were not appropriate for me. The follow-up appointments for the booster shots were made during that appointment and were very quick and easy with the RN. I feel lucky that they are in .
